It’s always quite and we fill relaxed staying there
We were not told that the hotel was not fully functional ie that there was not a full menu for evening meals, when we booked
4.0
Well appointed
TV and internet dropped out several times during our 1 night stay.
3.5
Large room with good bed . Modern TV and wi fi . Large bathroom. Two good chairs and a table in addition to dressing table/desk.
Hotel was not busy over the weekend. However we were given a room which had the ability to be an adjoining room with a connecting door.
Despite not being busy a young family were placed in this room . The families baby cried intermittently throughout the night and sound insulation through the adjoining doors are non existent and we were woken many times.
The bath has a shower over it and access was a little tricky and the small curved bath made standing in the shower difficult. However the bathroom was well equipped.

The Leicester Marriott is a modern, clean-cut hotel with excellent parking and good-size rooms. The staff are clearly well trained and attentive. Breakfast is excellent with a good range of hot and cold edibles.
The only water available to buy in grab and go was in ring-pull tins - very inconvenient, as you have to drink it all in one go. There should be large and small plastic bottles of water available with screw tops.

Staff were friendly, helpful and approachable. Foyer area a relaxing oasis for a coffee or drink
The room could have been cleaner

The downstairs lounge was very nice and the gym was ok. The bar downstairs showed the sport so that's a bonus.
The room was not clean, floor was dirty and the bedsheets were stained. There was no toilet paper even after house keeping visited. The shower leaks water all over the bathroom floor. The coffee machine didn't work. The central heating didn't work properly and only blew out cold air. It also made some strange noises during the night. Aside from that it was a large room and not too bad. When I spoke to the staff some of these things were put right and they were very friendly.

The bathroom wasn't cleaned properly. There was dried urine under the toilet bowl.

Arrived with my husband about 12.30pm, requested an early arrival time the week before, but no room ready obviously, which they had warned in an email. But they kindly upgraded for free our double room to a double/double room that was ready. We came with family, and they got a free upgrade too. We also got free parking. Lovely room and hotel, lobby and restaurant laid out nicely, comfy chairs. We had lunch and later drinks in the evening . Staff so helpful, really enjoyed our stay. We stayed on the 3rd floor, and the rooms were very quiet. Would definitely recommend.
We had a very lovely breakfast delivered to the room, as we had to be somewhere early and we were short of time. Full English and the huge selection of pastries were delicious, however no plate or serviette for my pastries, no knife to help butter or jam the croissants etc (must of been an oversight of the waitress) managed to steal my husband’s knife and use his serviette as a plate. Also you book the breakfast online on your phone, gave no option to order juice or a drink with my pastries. My husband’s hot breakfast came with a mug of coffee with fresh milk. (Coffee/tea/kettle in the room btw)

The staff were so kind and helpful, from reception to the staff clearing away after breakfast

The room was exceptional, very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Did not try the breakfast, but heard good things and the hotel looks amazing and facilities were great
the bathtub - it is very narrow when standing, and someone of my size found it a little uncomfortable with my feet being squashed together. You'd understand if showered/bathed here

The staff were absolutely brilliant! All of them, from check in to bar to restaurant to housekeeping. Thank you to all.
Bed was really comfortable, food was lovely.
Mainly the issue with getting notes under our room door after 10.00 pm when we were in bed, and then again about 5.30 which woke us up....something about our 'credit facilities'. Never worked out what that was about. There was an issue where we went to check out where we had the cost of the room on our bill which had been booked and paid for in advance via Booking.com. We then had to wait while reception sorted out the problem, but all really friendly and helpful; however, it was quite embarrassing standing in reception being questioned about our 'credit'! Staff were excellent though and really helpful and apologetic, so thank you again. Maybe you need to look at your procedures for collecting your payment from Booking.com? In advance of the customer's stay?
We also had an issue ordering drinks at the bar, the barman said we had no credit facilities, but we had prepaid £50 on our debit card. Your receptionist, I believe her name was Ella (but not sure), quickly resolved that....I believe it was just a technology communication problem.
Also had a minor issue with excessive noise from a private party ( I mean, we like parties, but this was really excessive and rowdy) whilst sitting in the bar having a drink prior to dinner. We considered changing our dinner reservation and going elsewhere, but one of your restaurant staff quickly resolved the issue by talking to the party and we were able to enjoy a lovely meal there.
Things go wrong in life, but you have brilliant staff who just sorted any minor issues with good grace and friendliness. Will definitely stay again, and will definitely recommend you.

No pool

Location was ok, great parking.
The pillows, too soft, bathroom wasn't clean enough, had to go buy wipes. Bath tub way to small, atleast a walk in shower is better.
The Aircon decided to work sometimes a long with the heater.
Should have 24/7 facilities to clean drinking water.
(Most hotels provide this)
Found gone off food in my fridge from previous person that stayed there. Horrible.
4.5
Lovely reception. Beautiful building. Spacious room.
Bed wasn’t very comfortable. Stayed extra large bed but was 2 small pushed together.
2.5
Pool was closed and restaurant only offering bar meals.
5.0
breakfast was excllent, an inviting selection of both pre-prepared and cooked-to-order dishes, nicely presented and frequently topped up by the attentive staff so that everything was fresh and appealling
I would have liked to have known that there would be a compulsory parking charge ahead of discovering that at check-in. It seemed to me rather penny-pinching to charge £3.50 for guests at a £135/night hotel, barely accessible by anything other than private vehicle, to park in the empty acres of out of town parking lot surrounding the hotel.

Easy to find , lovely place. Clean , comfy.
The heating fan could be turned down but not off, the heat can be controlled but I’m a light sleeper so the whirring disturbed me going to sleep.
