Staff were okay - ish. I want my money back though... due to the outstanding negative: the location and the noise!!!
I got there and stayed less than an hour despite wanting to stay the night. No one stated that the place was right next to a night club. Considering it was only 3pm, next door had the walls vibrating with their heavy bass and screaming coming from the windows. I absolutely knew I wouldn't be able to bear it, so I left. complete waste of money!

The people running Central Backpackers are really sweet and understanding (in my case very understanding). The bunk bed I had in the mixed room was good, with a curtain to maintain some privacy, and with a power socket to charge phone etc. Also good are the spacious lockers within the room, and if you forget your padlock, as I did, they sell a really good one. The kitchen facilities are 100% good.
The public area is like a waiting room, with a TV blaring sports most of the time. Not much natural light. The bathrooms could pay more attention to women's needs. The location is desolate, but that's not the hostel's fault.

It was good, the staff were friendly. Good place with good people.
They offered breakfast in the morning, which is good.
My room was a bit small with 6 bunk beds, if it would have extra space and little more neat ( providing room freshener) I would be great

Lovely staff great location decent place good price and location is great to get to city centre in minutes
Only thing is I had this guy put his stuff on my bed I requested a bottom bunk, you are given a bunk number when you check in and this fella was trying to nick my bed. I told reception they moved his stuff off my bed, onto the side I goes to bed. And get woken up by this clown screaming at me I told him go reception this isn't your bed. He did Arthur on reception sorted it but the guy wouldn't let it be for the whole week I was there trying to cause problems why people can't follow simple information and have a little respect for others but that's not Birmingham back packers hostel fault apart from that I love the place.

I liked the location and the fact that the rooms had lockers for belongings to be kept in. I also liked that you were able to check in up until a very late hour in the day.
I did not like the noise coming from the corridors. I also did not like that the showers were not as clean as they could have been.

The location is purfect if you come to Birmingham by bus. There are grocery stores nearby and the shopping mall is not far away. The staff is very friendly.
The room smelled a bit and the beds weren't the most comfiest.

The location and value for money. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Liked the communal area, free tea and coffee.
Bunk bed. At nearly 60 years of age I had a few problems getting up there 😊

Really comfortable bedding, great value considering its right in the heart of the city. Genuinely the most comfortable night sleep I’ve had outside my own home which is super surprising considering the price. Not too hot or too cold in the room, massive window for when it was a bit hot. Clean showers and toilets, nice kitchen facility too.
Could use a bell or some sort of system to alert reception staff that you’re there if they aren’t at the desk. Curtains were a little hard to close. Very minor issues!

Helpful staff, everything is very clean and tidy, rooms amazing with lockers, curtains, spacious, lot of showers, kitchen amazing! With huge fridge and they provide you containers to keep everything tidy... Its just perfect! And very well located. Thanks for all guys and congrats for the way you run the hostel!!

Location as far as transport was very good.
No communal computer. Needed for airline check in and ticket printing.

Staffs are very nice. Kitchen is clean, place is not far from the city center. Theres next to the hostel a club or something playing electro music on the weekend. Toilet is clean. Bed comfortable. There's s window so if u need fresh air, it's a good one.
The room is small for 2x3 bunk beds. The door is somewhat rusty or needs to have some oil as it doesn't open/close properly. Toilet there's the toilet holder which someone must be careful otherwise if u be d your head then it just opens and u hit yourself badly.

the staff were fantastic, and having a private room in a backpackers hostel was an unexpected pleasure with good facilities and goods available to buy on location

Staff were very friendly and helpful, explained everything about key cards and utilities on arrival and were happy to store luggage while I was out.
Got a bit hot in 15 bed dorm, but nothing unbearable.
