Amazing water front location. Good, fully equipped kitchen. There was a game room with lots of board games to choose from.
There was no mirror in room. Only in washroom there was a mirror.

Great hotel in central location. Our room was very quiet and comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. We enjoyed the water views. Bathroom was modern and clean. Parking nearby in council parking is free between 6pm and 9 am which suited us. We didn’t have breakfast there as we went for a walk to a lovely cafe after checkout (and paying for 1 hour of parking).
We were happy with everything.

Lovely view over the water of Oban. Walking distance of the centre and castle. Markie Dans is a nice pub where you can meet the locals.

Sea views
Lots of stairs, they offered to move us away from the house in the bar, but we ended up with a room where the bathroom was down the corridor

Lift would have been useful.

Great value if you are traveling with family or close friends and looking to save a little money. 3 bunks for 5 people worked out really well for a couple of nights to explore Oban. A private hostel- style room with newly renovated and clean en suite bathroom. Lovely view of the harbour. Fantastic location. Large shared self-serve kitchen was a big bonus. We took advantage of their packed lunch offer for our day trip to Mull and Iona and it was fantastic value.
Can be a bit noisy at night, could hear doors slamming. We were on the front of the building a few floors above the very popular pub downstairs and the pub patrons were a bit noisy.

Great location in the beautiful town
We did know it is above a pub - the noise died down after 1:00 the morning. Airflow was a challenge with the one window that could open with the unexpected heat and no aircon

Lovely place to stay, only issue was people pressing the doorbell which rang out and could be clearly and quietly frustratingly heard in our room. Not sure if all the other rooms can hear it, but room 3 is next to us so they can definitely hear it. It’s keeping me up now at it’s nearly 2am.

The room was spacious and tastefully decorated, with a very large and comfortable bed. The ceiling was a 12 foot stud and the large windows allowed us to enjoy the fantastic view. The large, modern bathroom had a huge shower with excellent water pressure.
The large communal kitchen downstairs was well organized with lots of tables and chairs, cooking stations, cutlery and crockery, and an extensive selection of food products which could be paid for through an honesty box.
We had dinner at the pub downstairs and the meals were delicious.
All of the staff were friendly and professional.
The internet connection was poor at times.

There is a pub on the ground floor, so we made a reservation and had dinner there. The variety of food wasn't that great, but it was delicious. It was good that we could book in advance as it was very busy at dinner time.
On weekends, they have live music at the pub at night, so you can hear music until late at night. If you don't mind it, it's fine, but if you do, you might have a hard time sleeping.
The music playing in the pub at night was a bit loud and could be heard quite far into the guest room.

Great location staff are all nice and helpful
4 flights of stairs to climb with luggage

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the room at Corran House. It describes itself as a Guest House and Hostel but the standard of the room, size, view, shower room and cleanliness were far superior to a three star hotel that I had stayed in the previous night. I knew that there was no set breakfast but there are plenty of Cafes close by and Mackies Bar down stairs provided excelent evening meals and very convivial hospitality. The Staff work very hard to accommodate their Guests. Well done to the Staff
Possible breakfast but there are so many places locally to have breakfast that it really wasn't an issue.

location is good and ample of parking available
Rooms too small. Small double room is literally converted from a single bed room. not value for money

The room wasn't new but it was very clean, comfortable and spacious. The downstairs kitchen was well stocked with food, appliances, crockery, cutlery etc. An honesty box was available for payment of food consumed which worked well. The hotel had a great bar downstairs with a discount for food for guests.
Nothing.

Shared toilet and down the stairs! No brew kit in bedroom again downstairs in a shared but clean kitchen area.

excellent place to stay to start our bike ride on outer Hebrides

Good location
We were told we could lock up bikes in the garden overnight. This was just the back alley, so no space to lock up securely outside.

location is great for walking access to the city centre. Nice view from the room.
Not any tea trays in the rooms, tv not having access to the internet?? hotel parking is disadvantage aren’t existing only council car park.

Great little Hostel, stayed in the 4 bed dorm which although being up a lot of stairs was a really quiet and comfy room. Bunk beds were really strong with no creeping or movement when climbing up and down. Shower was absolutely fantastic and they supplies full size bath towels which was a great choice. The Kitchen with the breakfast was very clean and the bits supplied were all good quality, would highly recommend.
Pub down stairs is a lovely little pub but we ordered the roast and was surprised to see they used Aunt Bessie spuds. On the whole wasn’t the best roast.

The view from our room. The affordable price. Good value for money.
The smell of cigarette smoke as soon as we got in the room was quite strong. We had the family room so we had young kids.

We stayed at Corran House before, great location, the kitchen available for the guests is clean and has everything you need.
This time we were in the other building (not the one where the reception is) and the walls were paper thin at the point that the snoring of the person in the adjacent room felt like it it was in ours. We could hear everything.

The location, and was given an upgrade to a larger room.
No free parking, but that's the way it goes.

I liked everything... the cleanliness... the situation... the comfort... the beds very well... And no noise was heard during the night! It was a good experience and I would go back again!!

I stayed here because I was stranded on my way to South Uist. I expected to only be staying a night but I ended up having to stay three because of bad weather at sea. The staff were fantastically accommodating and I am very pleased with my stay. I especially liked having access to kitchen facilities. The seaside location was an extra benefit, even despite constant rain it meant my stay was not a chore at all.

I love the easy going nature of the property and it’s possible to relax. It really is one of the best places I have stayed. I don’t like a lot of ‘rules’ or regimentation but I do appreciate decent standards. I get this at Corran House every time I’m there.
Actually there isn’t anything to dislike about Corran House from my point of view.
There used to be tea making facilities in the rooms but not this time. Guests are encouraged to used the well organised kitchen to do any king of catering. That was the only wee niggle but it wasn’t a big deal.

location is good and kitchen is especially great for us to have our dinner together
