Het warme water in de douche.
Niet in centrum maar wel lopend te doen
Het hotel werd gerenoveerd. Dus wat geluidsoverlast. Hotel was sowieso gehorig.

The kindness of the staff
It rained, and the water came into the room.
4.0 / 10.0
It has a very good location to main attractions. There is a microwave and fridge on the first floor.
Rooms are not only outdated but not functional at all. The sink is inside the shower. There is no AC so sleeping becomes very frustrating if it’s a hit or humid day. Bed blankets have a sandpaper feeling.

Location was great. Facilities were clean and well maintained

Location was great. Only a few minutes away from the city centre and some of the beautiful areas
The room and facilities were extremely basic and did not really match the price. Shower was fully dysfunctional and was only dripping water
When booking tours through the hotel the personal failed to inform you about any extra costs that would apply for entering sightseeing spots, entering musea etc.
A transfer from Oaxaca to Puerto Escondido that was supposed to be carried out by a personal SUV was actually carried out by a minivan that was loaded with others (no problem, but just not what we were told).

location! it was close enough of the intense human movement of Oaxaca but not in it!!! it was clean and the staff was very nice
the fact that did not have a bathroom outside the room and was shared with another room

Friendly and conscientious staff. Good breakfast. Interesting variety of guests. Great location.
Lots of leaking and puddles when it rained. The narrow, iron spiral staircase is difficult for older people or anyone carrying a suitcase.

great location, awesome staff and laundry service, helped me call a taxi and book bus tours out of the city
room faces the interior courtyard so sound is loud when people walk in and out. the rooms could be cozier, lots of fluorescent lighting.

Good location
Don't expect more than a hostel with private bathroom (in case you booked a room with private bathroom).
The room is quite dark since you have to keep the curtains closed the whole time, if you want a bit of privacy. It is also very noisy, so take ear plugs with you !
The staff definitely needs more training and could be more proactive. The shower has no door, so the bathroom gets completely wet after taking a shower. I asked for something to dry the floor and the lady told me they had nothing and that I should just leave it like that. After insisting that I didn't want to have the whole flood wet, she handed me the cleaning rag. I also had to ask for toilet paper, cause it seems like the person in charge of cleaning didn't realize the one in the bathroom was finished.
Regarding breakfast, the coffee was basically some dirty water. No taste, no smell. It was supposed to be served until 10:00 am on Sunday and when I got there at 9:00 , there were only a few squares of cucumber left. The lady at the reception told me I was too late and there was nothing she could do because the person in charge of cooking wasn't there and there was no food left (not even in their fridge!). After insisting, she took 1 hour to boil two eggs and served in in a plate. Yet no coffee, no salt, just two plain eggs.

Very charming place in perfect location.
I’d recommend the place but ensure you don’t get a room on the ground floor.
Unfortunately our room was very unsuitable. Room was on the ground floor, and we couldn’t sleep past 5am due to various noises (water truck filling up the water tank, staff slamming the gates etc). In addition to that, the view from the window was “dinning room/courtyard” which means we couldn’t open the curtains. No daylight at any point. I don’t think that room should be used. I’m sure that rooms on the 1sr floor are very nice and much more comfortable.

Staff were friendly, provided a good laundry service. Breakfast was okay. Water top up was good.
The walls are thin so could hear peoples conversations and calls. The room was very warm which meant having the window open to the corridor to allow air flow which meant you could hear and see people (even with the curtains drawn) to the shared bathroom.

nice terasse
the breakfast was really really bad, the bread was out at 9am already
the room we had was not like on the picture, very small, low celling and very hot. Unfortunatly we were disappointed

the room on the floor was small and without privacy.

We enjoyed the friendliness and attentive staff. Our room was small, but clean and comfortable. The roof top seating area offered a spacious location to unwind after a day of touring. The location was within walking distance to many restaurants and coffee shops as well as many of the historic and cultural sites of Oaxaca. It was a good value for the money.
The bathroom smelled like moth balls and the breakfast coffee was a bit weak.

The Spanish speaking staff tried to communicate via google translator, which was inadequate. We were charged for things that were supposed to be complementary. The amounts were negligible, but still...
The most troubling thing was that there seemed to no staff member onsite from 9 pm (when the front door was locked) until 8 am. As far as we could tell, the staff locked the iron gates with all the guests inside, and left for the night. Maybe that is legal in Mexico, but it certainly is a bad practice. What if there were a fire or an earthquake or a plumbing emergency? What if someone broke into guest's room or a guest had a medical emergency? (There are no phones in the rooms and no instructions re: emergencies (like a way to contact the police.)

great location, sweet rooftop room with morning sun & patio with tables, chairs & porch swing…wonderful spot for morning & evening.
occasional sewer smell, but cleaning crew took care of it. staircase to rooftop rooms is spiral, small & steep (not good for people with walking/climbing issues) but all of our group 71-79 were fine with it.

Excellent location in quiet area near Centro
Charged $50 to store suitcase for 1 hour after checkout time.
Continental Breakfast was very poor but $99 a la carte dishes good value and tasty.
