Nic
Ten hotel to dno. Pokój brudny i zakurzony z wykładzina tak brudną i zakurzona ze strach w butach po niej chodzić. Łazienka to jakiś kompletny absurd techniczny. Ogólnie do zamknięcia!

After blindly booking the last affordable spot in London city here, reading the reviews made me a bit terrified.
But after staying there the weekend made me realise alot of the reviews are a bit overreacted.
The big problem lies in the city and its way too overpriced accommodations where like 250/night is the norm,
This accommodation atleast gives the opportunity to make an more affordable trip to the city.
If you don't mind a small room and a bed with springs this is a place to go.
-Good to reach place with metro to Russell Square
-Room was a bit small and dated
-Breakfast was a bit underwhelming
-Bed you have to get used to, or had a good party night before to sleep like a brick anyway
-No AC for summer

Found some toenails in room 😬

Location. Good value.
Heating was not working. Luckily the weather was great. I hope in winter they work. Overall great place

Breakfast closes early and no flexibility around it. The rooms are so close to each other hence raise from neighbours
Great Location, spacious room, clean bathroom

there was nothing to like about this property
the room was filthy. there was blood all over a pillow and something dubious over the ceiling ,the beds were falling apart and highly uncomfortable, there was mould all around the bathroom

location
room was disgusting, ‘bathroom’ about 2 foot square. know its a 2 star hotel but it should be a -2. couldnt wait to get home for a propper shower!

Nothing special..
Close to bus,train

Location was somewhat close to the train station.
Rooms should be cleaned, free from mold on shower curtain, dirt on rugs,
The rooms should be dusted especially for cobwebs.
Breakfast utensils should be clean.
The pictures on the website is not what appears at the site...very deceitful.
We were not happy with our stay at the Guilford House Hotel.

We loved it staff was very friendly and allowed us to leave our cases there when we looked around London before our train!

Friendly staff. The radiator control knob is removed, it can only be controlled/ regulated centrally which looks odd, the hand wash basin knob in the bathroom is faulty as well. The room is okay with the price, but putting air freshener in the room will give it a good scent/smell. Liquid soap jar in the bathroom should be filled as well, I met it empty.
Conclusively, the accommodation was not bad compare with the price, the staffs were superb.

Nothing good about this place, avoid!
The worst experience ever. Three men entered in my room while I was sleeping there at 4 in the morning as the receptionist let them in, because they left a bag in there. This was the worst experience, I was super scared, imagine someone come in while you sleep in your bed! The receptionist didn't even apologize, I asked refund and they didn't reply, and I spent the rest of the night without being able to follow asleep again! AVOID

The location is perfect - near King's Cross/St. Pancras so you can come and go from and to the airport directly. A lot of sights are in not more than half hour walk. The room was not big but the window is big so it was bright and cosy. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was strange - it seemed that you are in a ship or a camper :) And when the toilet is flushed the sound is really big. You can even hear your neighbours doing it too. The breakfast was very basic but that's what we expected. It's a great value for money and you can bear some inconveniences for that.
The pressure in the shower was low.
The sound of flushing the toilet.
Sometimes the smell in the corridor.

good location for train station
could book in early which was ideal for us to drop bags off
wasn’t clean
very run down
very steep stairs
very awkward steep step to get into tiny bathroom
was in hotel next door so had to go back there in morning for so called breakfast which was tea and toast which you made yourself in a very small seating area.

The people that run the place were very friendly and helpful and I think that the room we stayed in reflected in the price that we paid to stay there.
The curtains couldn't close as one of them had come off the runner and it was so high up that you couldn't re-attach it, the window wouldn't close so there was a draft and we could hear everything from outside and the breakfast room was so crowded as there were too many tables and chairs packed into such a tiny room so we felt as though we had to rush our breakfast.

Location was great and the hotel did allow me access to the room about 1 hour early.
Once in the room there was no hot water. The room clearly had been cleaned to a minimal standard and no vacuum had been used. I had to repair the curtains to ensure they fulfilled their purpose.

We got what we paid for - a cheap room in a central London location near the places we wanted to visit - the beds were comfortable - the sheets and towels were clean
Accommodation and breakfast was very basic - television didn't work because there was no remote control - important to us after a long day out - the soap dish wasn't properly secured and fell off the wall - the windows and carpets could have done with a clean

If you're staying for a night (arriving late and leaving early) and you don't mind not using the bathroom, it could be ok. Location is great.
The doors don't lock from inside, they even warn you not to leave valuable items inside the room. The bathroom was plain dirty with hairs that weren't mine, yay! :) Also, if you like spiderwebs, this is your place! :) Bedsheets are quite small - even for someone who is 160. Breakfast was overpriced, there are tons of cafés around that would do the same for less. Don't wait until the last minute to pick your hotel for London or you will end here.

It was a roof over my head for that night, but nothing better.
Everything. There was no elevator in the hotel, and my room was in the basement. No air conditioning or fan.

Hotel not far from Kings Cross. The staff were helpful I had a big bag so they changed my room to only 1 floor down.
Room was small but adequate. There was a kettle and stuff for a drink but no milk. The breakfast room was pretty small and full when I used it and the breakfast wasn't what I expected only toast and cereal and a hot drink. I had tea and left. It's a budget hotel not great but not bad.

Don't stay here, mice in the room at night, mouse droppings on floor, dirty room

The price for the area was great. Staff lovely and helpful. The place was nice and tidy ish. Great location
The shower head was broken. But was still able to use it by holding it. The continental breakfast was just cereal and toast that's what they should put instead of continental breakfast. Thank you
2.5
location is good for central London tube & Kings Cross
dated, breakfast was poor and everything was the cheapest own brand whilst the owners sat in the same breakfast room with branded Tetley teabags
