room was spotless albeit a bit warm. Nice an quiet at night, staff were very good.
WIFI was appalling and because of this I wouldn't stay here again
4.1
Spacious clean room, comfortable bed, great view out to sea across golf course.
Able to walk along disused viaduct into Cullen, up the monument overlooking town, or across the golf course to the beach (‘Four’)!
Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Wouldn’t hesitate to re-book.
Had to cross over fast main road to get to walks.
4.1
Beautiful situation and outlook. Hotel has been upgraded. Bedrooms we had were small but adequate.
Next time would ask for larger bed or twin room as double seemed small.
4.1

Great breakfast with lots of choice
Rooms slightly dated and need of a lick of paint but still extremely clean

Great views, comfy room and excellent breakfasts!

Beautiful location and view from dinning room.
The food was excellent but the dinning room lacked the luxury , no table clothes ,little effort to give such an amazing view and food experience decoration tired.

Staff were very welcoming and friendly (without exception). Menu was excellent, as was the food. Breakfast was very good as well. Views and ambience were superb.
Room was sparsely decorated with a single framed picture on one wall. TV was tiny for what I would have expected of this hotel - and large TVs are not expensive these days. The "spring-stopper" for the bedroom door had lost its spring years ago and had not been replaced. The bath could do with a "grab-handle" for those who have difficulty getting out of a bath. A sign in the bathroom advised about using a rubber mat, and shower-curtain, in the shower - there was no rubber mat, or shower-curtain! A glass swing-door had been installed to replace the shower-curtain but the notifications had not been updated. Similarly, the old sign that stands outside the front, on the lawn, to advertise the beer-garden, is somewhat outdated because it gives the impression that the hotel supports drinking and driving. In a nutshell, traditions are admirable, but the hotel needs to keep abreast with the times and renovations. I could have paid half the price for the same room at a local B&B.

Friendly, attentive, welcoming staff, an absolutely fab dinner, lovely view & near to Cullen. I had run away for the night & this was a great choice for coastal walks & peace!

The location was fabulous; beautiful views out over the Bay and a great base to visit the area.
Food was very good and the staff were really friendly.
A small point- The lounge / sitting room wasn’t inviting and the bar seating not particularly comfortable for the later evening.

Room was lovely and view amazing. However, had my husband travelled with us (which he was supposed to do) I feel the room would have been very tight in space, although a family room.
That being said, it was clean and it comfortable.
The food was excellent (dinner and breakfast) and the staff were superb. A real credit to the hotel.
This is not a criticism of the hotel, but when we booked we searched on a pet friendly hotel and a family room for 3 adults. It was only when I checked just before we left to make sure the hotel was aware we were bringing our dog that I discovered we did not have a pet friendly room and there were none left. My husband therefore could not travel with me and his mother as he had to stay home to look after the dog. I think booking.com needs to do something here to support the hotel with the allocation of the rooms.
Another little thing is the exit from the hotel. We were turning right and it was incredibly difficult to see the cars, which were travelling very fast, from the left as it is on a corner. We asked someone who was in the car park to give us the heads up when the road was clear. It might be useful for the hotel to have a mirror installed on the opposite side to make it more safe.
