Cosy, everything you needed for a short stay. Great location to explore the Peaks from.

Lovely little house to stay in, great area lovely little town and host was very nice
Very small definitely suit 1-2 people
4.3
Location was excellent. Accommodation comfortable, compact and snug with all amenities you would need.
Communication excellent and host very accommodating and friendly.
Just needed a small fan heater.

Burty’s snug is a cosy, characteristic, little cottage in the beautiful village of Cromford.
The cottage had everything you need for a lovely stay with a comfy pull out bed. Well stocked and equipped kitchen and a really lovely little bathroom.
Deborah’s communication throughout was amazing and really helped make our stay perfect.
I would thoroughly recommend Burty’s snug to anyone looking for a gorgeous place to stay with everything you need.
The parking was a little bit tricky as it is on street parking, but nothing to be put off by.

Nothing
On arrival property looked scruffy, the sofa bed was about two feet from the front door, the traffic passing the property was a nightmare road noise nearly 24/7,on your description you said it is soundproof not, doggy front door wouldn't shut properly didn't feel safe,( would u if staying?),it felt damp and cold, no heating on, evenings are still chilly no logs for the log burner no central heating on either or hot water in the taps, bedding was shabby kept in a old trunk, was supposed to stay two nights but couldn't wait to leave, it was one of the worst properties that I have been in with booking.com,hope to get some compensation for false information.
4.3
Cosy and neat. Right in the middle of Cromford where I wanted to be as a base for walking with my dog.
Bed is a rudimentary sofa bed in the small lounge, not a separate sleeping space. Front door latch didn’t work.
4.3
The snug was beautifully decorated, very clean, and warm. We were warmly welcomed by the owner who ensured we had all we needed for our stay. Great location in a lovely village. Would fully recommend and will be revisiting.
Nothing

Really liked the cottage.
The road outside is noisy during the day.
4.3
Clean, comfortable, good location.
4.3
Very cosy with lovely decor, kitchen
equipment was great especially the
coffee machine - good quality pods
provided! Self check-in was also very
useful as we knew we would be
arriving late. Parking opposite was very
easy. Lovely early morning walk directly
from the cottage.
Nothing really…we knew it would be
small…it’s in the name…and by checking
on Google maps we could see it was
right on the road but as a light sleeper
had no problem with noise.

The location, the property, very snug, nice shower room, everything you need for your stay,it's compact, comfy, pubs, cafes, restaurant very close by,Matlock Bath is close by, nice walking from this location. The host Deborah comes across as a very pleasant lady. And it's Dog friendly, what more could you want.
Nothing.

Burtys snug was well decorated, cozy and hosts were amazing.

I loved how the snug was decorated and the facilities was all very useful.
Lovely log fire and decorations made the whole place so cosy and inviting.
I dont think i knew how to work the coffee machine but likely to be my fault.
4.3
Literally everything!! The property instructions where super clear, the log burner was great, fully equipped kitchen with a coffee machine. it’s got everything you could need for a short or long stay.
nothing at all.
4.3
Absolutely fantastic stay. Deborah was so so helpful, very pleased with the communication and so friendly and welcoming. The property is so cosy, nice mix of original and modern.
The bed was very comfy with plenty of bedding avaliable. Excellent selection of teas and coffees available. Log burner just tops it off, warm, cosy and good all round vibe. Definitely will be booking again and we highly recommend it to anyone thinking of booking. Thank you. Dean and Kayla.

location was great, potentially a lovely little get away.
place needed a good clean, sofa bed was very uncomfortable.
found slugs on worktop on dogs food dish!
4.3
Everything we needed- warm, comfortable and very clean. Lovely to have the wood burner. Deborah was extremely helpful
4.3
It’s a hidden gem full of character and the owner is very friendly and welcoming.
No private parking
4.3
it didn’t work for us, although the property is dog friendly, there is no where for a dog to take a bedtime wee, no garden area only a 3ft x 15ft area that also contained the dustbins, this is located within 4 foot of a very busy (with heavy lorries) main road, also making the property noisy.
4.3
very good location and very compact , great shower
4.3
The shower, the subscriptions on tv and the extra facilities in the kitchen, given books and guides for the area in and around Cromford and Peak District.
Didn’t have a separate bed or bedroom wasn’t really a issue thought
4.3
It had everything that I needed all in one place, the perfect size.
Nothing! It was perfect for my night away
4.3
The property was exactly as advertised it was a snug, the host was extremely welcoming. There were all the facilities that you could need. We took two small dogs with us and the space was just what we needed.
Nothing - could imagine it would have been a bit small if we had big dogs but our dogs are small so it was perfect.

My wife and I stayed here for 1 night and really enjoyed it! Our host Deborah was fantastic and came to check on us and make sure we were comfortable. The snug was so cozy and had everything we needed. The sofa bed was comfortable as well. Parking just up the road and we were in close proximity to restaurants and shops as well. Would recommend! Thank you Deborah.
4.3
Lovely, cozy and clean . Sofa bed was very comfortable, everything you need in the kitchen, and Deborah was an excellent host. We’ll definitely be staying again soon
4.3
Really good kitchen everything you'd need for a short stay
Bathroom was lovely
Lounge/bedroom was very cosy
Too much light in the room when sleeping-needs blackout curtains/blinds
Bed was okay but needed to use matress toppers!
4.3
cosy and well equipped
The sofa bed was very uncomfortable
4.3
The place was well decorated and we found the sofa bed very comfortable (and I am a bed snob!)
It also had all the useful things that you need but wouldn't remember to bring yourself e.g milk, coffee toilet paper washing up stuff and salt pepper, tin foil etc which is nice because often been to places with nothing available.
Deborah was very kind and made sure we had everything we needed and gave us a great recommendation for where to paddle with our dog nearby.
Right near a lovely pub called the greyhound and round the corner from Cromford Mills which was a great spot for cream tea and canal walks.
Everything was great. You need to duck your head a little if you are tall like my boyfriend as it's a cute old cottage with low ceiling in bathroom.
4.3
Lovely little place. Had everything we would need. Was able to use the drive for parking and able to check in earlier and out later which was appreciated.
The tv remote(fire stick) didn’t have batteries in so unable to watch tv during our stay. We were unable to work the oven as no instructions on how to use. The sofa bed wasn’t comfy and the topper didn’t help much.
4.3
Arrived at property late and was greeted still as I pulled in. Owner took time to show me around and guide me through what I needed to know.
Spotless, the place was clean and tidy. Must work hard to keep it that way with the house being built so long ago. Shower was great, kitchen had everything and the log burner topped it off. 5 star
I didn’t like that I couldn’t take it home with me
4.3
Deborah was a fantastic, very welcoming and accommodating host! The snug was exactly as advertised, a perfect space for us to use as a base to explore Matlock and then come back to a cosy fire, board games and a movie 😊
The sofa bed was a great size and very easy to set up. The only area of improvement would be to have a thicker mattress topper to add a little more comfort but overall it was still great 😊
4.3
Clean and warm, plenty of hot water, shower had good water supply but the 'wetroom' is too small with no shelves, hooks or the ability to avoid getting the toilet area wet. Too expensive for what you get.
Poor value for money, clean but not comfortable enough at this price point over hundred per night, it would be good at half the price being charged.
The only bed is a pull out sofa bed. The listing makes it look like there is an additional sofa and pull out bed rather than it being the sole bed. Consequently there is no full length bed without hard ridges across and along length of bed and it requires making each day or entirely filling the living room.
The property could do with decluttering and needs shelves and cupboards, there was nowhere to put clothes, coats, or bags. Mirrors positioned very badly and no mirror for shaving which had to be done in the kitchen sink.
Bathroom is a wetroom style but there are no hooks for towels and the toilet is squeezed into a tiny adjoining space that gets wet from the shower and there is no shoulder room. The shower has an overhead rose and a hand held option but needs a higher holder for the hand held so that it can be used properly for a shower.
Coffee machne no good without pods and just fills space in the kitchen.
Located right on the busy main road to Wirksworth and Ashbourne in Cromford on steep hill with a lot of traffic.
