We were in town for a little R&R and to attend a music festival in Anderson. We couldn’t have found a better location or property. The house was beautiful, clean and had everything one could want for a getaway. The host was very nice and accommodating.

The five stars ⭐️ say it all 😊

House was cute and clean. The house was well stocked with linens and kitchen items. We snuck away for a July 4th weekend with family. Loved that we could enjoy the dogs. The dock is excellent with some covered space and a boat slip that we used on the day we rented a boat. Only negative was that there was no electricity down near the dock.

We went to see our son in law graduate with his masters degree. It was the perfect location to get to Clemson and far enough to enjoy the beautiful lake. It’s only 10 minutes from Clemson. 😜 we would definitely stay here again and maybe rent a boat next time.

We had an awesome time we rented two houses next to each other and were able to enjoy the peaceful stay this house has to offer.

Quaint lake home situated on Lake Hartwell. This is a nice house for family and friends to enjoy a taste of lake life.

We enjoyed our stay at this house. There were 5 of us and we were comfortable with space. It was nice having access to the refrigerator in the garage in addition to the full kitchen. We were in town for a Clemson football game and the house was a very reasonable distance from campus/stadium.
4.8
The property was perfect for our Clemson Family weekend! Wish we could have enjoyed the lake more while we were there. The location was perfect and the host was very accommodating and welcoming! Thanks again and we hope to book again in the future.

The weather could have been better but the house and location were perfect. We made the most of rainy days by traveling to Greenville and playing family games. On the good weather days…the view from the dock exceeded expectations. The house had everything we needed and was clean/cozy. We loved all the restaurants near Clemson. Highly recommend The Esso Club, Loose Change, and Charleston. Our kids loved Andee’s Custom Blended Ice Cream…went twice but would have went nightly. Hope to come back soon!!

5/5 all the way around. We stayed here for a long weekend and it was perfect. The house was as pictured, clean and super cute. The dock was nice and it was SO quiet— we loved it! Highly recommend and we are already planning another trip!

My family thoroughly enjoyed this place. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was peaceful and surrounded by nature. Fishing from the dock was great - my grandson caught his first fish! I definitely recommend staying here!

Awesome place and will be back !!!

We came to town for Clemson’s Homecoming and to see our two children who are students there. This house was perfect for our stay and near to campus. We were able to entertain our children and their friends for dinner. They enjoyed making s’mores at the fire pit. We have stayed at lots of rentals, most do not provide hand soap in the bathrooms but this one did which makes it even better in my book! There is plenty of places to sit and the bed in the master was very comfortable too! Look forward to staying here again the future!

The lake house was the perfect long weekend getaway. The lake was perfect to jump right in and our dog loved it too! The bedrooms were both spacious and the kitchen was well stocked!

Beautiful lake home inside and out! Secluded, wooded property right on the lake. Amazing lake views from the house, screened porch, and upstairs master bedroom & balcony. Shaded outdoor fire pit overlooking the lake. Large floating dock provides easy lake access to swim and large area to set up chairs to sunbathe. Very close to Clemson! Our daughter is a student at Clemson and drove back and forth several times. Quick, easy drive! We plan to book this property on future trips!

We loved our lake time at this newly renovated house.
The beds were comfortable and the location great!
My husband could go in to Clemson for work while we floated around in the quiet cove. Kids especially loved seeing the deer in the nearby woods.

Perfect weekend getaway!
The property was just as portrayed in the pictures. The kitchen was well equipped to be able to cook meals at the house and everything was in working order and clean. We had such a great time on the dock and enjoying the lake!

Great lake cottage
This is a great lake cottage, and it's located in a very quiet cove of Lake Hartwell. House was very clean and kitchen was well stocked. We had 2 couples with 1 dog each, and we really enjoyed our stay!

Nice getaway
My family and I came up to the lake house for our summer vacation. It was exactly what we were looking for.
I will commend the owner for quick responsiveness. There was a thunderstorm that knocked out power and the Wi-Fi. The power came back on but the Wi-Fi did not. I called him and he had someone come over immediately to resolve the problem.

Lakefront view and dog friendly 😊
The owners were very sweet and quick to answer any questions. We rented this VRBO for my husband’s birthday. We had a great time! The house was right on the lake, dog friendly with a great view. It was very clean and updated inside. The location is great and close to Clemson. We rented a pontoon boat from the Clemson Marina which was very close to the house . I would definitely recommend this house and stay again.

This house had mostly everything we needed and were expecting. It is in a great quiet location with a great jetty and quiet waters. The house could have been cleaner and and more organized but overall a good stay. Take extra dishwasher tabs and toilet paper, we ran out the day before we left.

lake front
Wonderful home inside you will enjoy all the hard work they have done to upgrade a older home., The walk down to the lake needs work, very easy to fall as you go down. needs steps instead of a sidewalk for the last 1/3 way down to the lake.
4.8
We enjoyed the stay. It is an older home which has had some renovations. The dock was nice to sit and enjoy the water.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house was the perfect size for a group of five, and the location is excellent. Our hosts were so friendly and available if we needed anything. We’d love to return!

We have a daughter at Clemson and decided to stay here to celebrate Easter due to the great reviews and proximity to the campus. Upon arriving, the first thing we noticed was the windows of the doors were filthy. Evidently the group before us had a young child and two bull mastiffs. Jim responded promptly and cleaned the doors downstairs and also provided a broom at my request as there was tree pollen on all the decks and back porch as well.
Some of the furniture cushions are worn, blankets on the queen beds didn’t look fresh and clean, lower cabinets in the kitchen were disheveled, crumbs around the toaster, spring mechanism in the coffee pot brew basket broken, no remote control in the master for the tv - not major issues in and of themselves, but put them all together, and this is not what you would expect for the rental price.
Also, prior to arrival I inquired about firewood. I was told there were maybe 2 pieces of wood there, but we could “go down the road and buy some at the dollar store”. Next door, where the local contact lives, there was a huge wood pile, but we had to go out and purchase our own. Again, for the rental price, you would think wood might be provided and maybe even a kayak or paddleboard for those that don’t have a boat.
Finally, if you want to sit outside if it happens to rain, the screened porch is only covered with the deck from the upstairs bedroom and is not weatherproof so water drips between the slats - no where to sit outside and enjoy the lake view if it rains.
Some positives, the dock was awesome and the kitchen is well stocked with sharp knives and good appliances, and the grill worked well. The linens were in good condition, nice towels and plenty of hot water for showers. The bathrooms are nice as well.
Overall though, the good doesn’t outweigh the negatives given the rate charged for this property. They could make some minor changes, upgrade the worn cushions, put a couple kayaks in the huge garage, amend the porch to provide shelter in the rain, clean it thoroughly - then the price might be justified.
