We stayed here for a work event and it was perfect! Close to the slopes and quiet for relaxing when we got home.

We loved the setting. There was plenty of room for all of us. The outdoor space was lovely & the jacuzzi was an added bonus, especially after a long hike. We did have an issue with no hot water in the unit over the garage, but the management company rectified the problem immediately. It was the perfect place for our getaway.

This house is awesome for larger groups with multiple gathering spaces and plenty of beds. The views are beautiful with a creek right out back which is so soothing to listen to while relaxing on the decks or in the hot tub. The location is only 6 minutes from the Palisades ski slopes and less than 15 minutes from Tahoe City and the lake, which our group really appreciated. The kitchen is very well stocked, the pots and pans have definitely been well used but they are still in good condition. The beds were pretty comfortable with decent quality linens. The house was clean and in overall good condition with some minor wear and tear that is to be expected in a vacation rental home.
Our group was actually placed in this house just the day before we were to arrive when the house we originally rented had the hot water go out. The management company was very proactive in letting us know with a solution already prepared to put us in this house at no cost to use. The management company was super great to work with and has lots of connections to the businesses nearby to offer discounts to renters. We would definitely rent again.

There was a large group of us (10) that stayed at the house. It was comfortable and accommodating with multiple spacious living rooms. Our only wish was that it had better outdoor seating. There was no patio furniture out, but the creek (not quite a river) was rushing with all the melt off from a record breaking winter. It was amazing to fall asleep to at night.

Can't give 1/2 stars, so will start this by saying I would give it a 3.5 rating. There are negatives and positives to this property.
Negatives: The biggest negative we encountered was that the refrigerator was not working correctly and caused us to lose a bunch of the food we ordered from Good Eggs and brought with us. What was probably most frustrating is that I noticed the fridge was not particularly cold when I unloaded groceries into it upon arrival and despite lowering the temp and then calling the property managers the following day to report the issue, I was told that the fridge was "fine" and "at standard temps". When I asked how they measured the temp and what they considered "standard temp" to be, they wouldn't answer me. I ended up going to Tahoe City to buy two fridge thermometers, which I place at the top and bottom of the fridge. Lo and behold, 12+ hours later, the upper part was at 58 degrees (well above food safety temps) and the lower part was at 42 degree (a smidge above food safety temps). It was only then that the property management took my concern seriously and suggested I use the fridge in the separate apartment above the garage (which required us to leave the main house to retrieve groceries). Very disappointing to have to deal with that (though I will add that Sophie at Tahoe Getaways kindly reimbursed us for spoiled groceries so thank you). Someone later delivered a replacement fridge and left it in front of the garage so I imagine it will be replaced once we've departed. Double check that the fridge is actually at the right temp (we left a thermometer); otherwise, you'll be potentially dealing with foodborne illnesses and who wants that when you would rather be on the slopes.
The kitchen is well equipped... with VERY dated and scratched up cookware. There was no can opener or casserole-type dish (or at least we couldn't find those). I suggest bringing any special pans if you plan to cook.
There were some pretty treacherous icicles hanging from the eaves, as well as some ice on the deck. We knocked down some of the icicles and put salt/melter on the deck when we were leaving but it was clear no one had done that before we got there. The ice was slippery and could have been quite dangerous to someone.
Lastly, it would not break the bank for property management companies to supply homes with 2 ply paper towel rolls. Honestly. That 1 ply stuff is AWFUL.
Positives: VERY spacious, generally quite clean (we did not experience what a couple prior renters experienced), good set up for multiple families and teens who don't want to hang with the parents, dog friendly, plenty of space to take a work call when needed, lots of towels, clean sheets, etc., hot tub worked fine. We did NOT see any droppings from rodents.
Things to know: if you rent this place, you will park in a driveway that is in front of the garage (which has 93 on it so you think it's the house). Do NOT attempt to retrieve a key from the lockbox on garage because that won't work! Go to the left and follow the path to the main house instead. The primary house key also opens the garage/apartment (which was not clear in the communications from TG but we figured it out).
As for Tahoe Getaways, we rent through them almost every time we come up to Tahoe. With the exception of the fridge situation at Swiss Chalet, we have always had very positive experiences with them.

Despite one of the negative reviews a few months ago, I fortunately did not have a bad experience with this cabin. I'll start with the negatives to get out of the way here, where 1) the kitchen has appliances and utensils, but no cooking supplies whatsoever, so please come prepared to bring oil, salt, pepper, etc., 2) we found droppings near the dining area windows, but did not encounter any mice, 3) dishwasher feels like it's falling apart and the rack kept coming off, 4) the master bedroom's shower could use some grout cleaning, 5) dining area is very ramped, and 6) I had contacted in advance whether the outdoor grill would have a full propane tank filled for each guest and I was assured that it would be, but when we got there, both tanks were empty, which I called the property management about and they had someone come over later to give us new tanks.
On to the positives, I really loved the layout of the house and there were more than enough space for the 10 adults 2 children and 1 dog that were in our group. The studio apartment requires you to go outside in order to reach, and was very spacious that you can easily fit a family of 4 there and have plenty more room. The beds were in good condition and did not hear any complaints from my guests with quality of sleep. They provided plenty of fans that made the indoor heat not much of an issue, same with the outdoor awning and blinds by the dining room were very nice (just watch the window when using the extendable awning). The hot tub on the deck was in excellent condition and can confirm all the jets were operational when we were there.
Overall, I would stay here again as I liked the location was easy to get to and only about a 10-15 mins drive from Tahoe City and if you plan to go to Palisades, then you're just a few minutes drive away. I wish we had more time to explore the area more as there seemed to be nice biking and hiking trails nearby, too. The layout and space was more than enough for our group, and if they can just deal with some of the negatives that I mentioned then this home could get 5 stars for me.

The house layout was great for the 12 of us, especially having the studio layout above the garage. It was cozy and comfortable. The controls for awnings and the window shade helped keep the heat out during the day. Beds were very comfortable for all……no complaints from guests, a big plus! Several balconies, the bbq and jacuzzi were great. Privacy was also terrific…set back from street, nicely treed and some beautiful views. The main house could have more attention paid to cleanliness….especially the tiled floors, and the area rug in the main floor living room needs to be trashed and replaced. We actually flipped it because we discovered the “down side” was actually quite a bit cleaner, but still pretty gross. An outdoor dining table would be an added plus…but there were a few chairs available. I would definitely consider staying there again.

A Bit Disappointed
In May and June previous guest left reviews and mentioned general maintenance and cleanliness of the home. Nothing was done prior to our arrival to correct any of the issues. The home is in dire need of repair. Broken door handles, light fixtures, kitchen cabinets, burn marks in the sofa, BBQ cover torn and hanging off the grill, fallen flower boxes, fallen screens. Loose railing on one of the balconies, nails are protruding from the stairs, so it is not safe to walk around barefoot. The home is filthy and needs a deep cleaning. The shower in the MB on the second floor was not usable because of how filthy it was. The rug on the main floor is black from filth, the slate and wood floors are so dirty that we had to wear flip flops in the house. There was mice feces on multiple interior window seals and on one of the exterior balconies and railing. Balconies were dirty with bird feces on the railing, sofa and throw pillows had beverage stains. Cobwebs in every corner of the home and hanging from the ceiling, tape on the walls, and the large pictures windows were filthy. Mice in the garage (did not notice any pest control service). The home does not have AC and although fans are provided, several windows and none of the doors have screens on them, so trying to cool the house without letting in unwanted pest becomes very problematic. Definitely not worth the $ paid!

Great property
Wonderful time with 3 families staying together, plenty of room for everyone. Don’t recommend for kids 2 and under, lots of stairs and doors to outside.
Dirty floors but other then that, perfect set up.

Great place for a large group
It’s a beautiful home, but needs some minor repairs. They were stingy with the paper towels and toilet paper. The house was not cleaned thoroughly. They need need to steam mop the slate. It’s was black when I wiped the floors. The livinging throw rug was filthy! Beautiful home.

Wonderful Extended - Family House
This was a great place for all members of my family! Lovely view of painted rocks, great kitchen, lots of room for everyone! Only gave 4 stars for cleanliness because all the porches and decks were coated with pollen and debris. If they had been blown off it would have been 5 stars for sure!

We REALLY enjoyed our stay here. The backyard is open to the woods so the views outside the windows and decks are just breath taking. We didn't really explore the area much as with all the fires and pandemic going on, we just wanted to reunite with family and hangout, cook and be together. But this house is beautiful and comfy. We were even fortunate enough to see a bear right outside our window . It says it accommodates 14 people and that's how many of us we were, but there was more than enough room. Especially when traveling with young ones who usually curl up in a bed with Grandma or Grandpa...we had a whole bedroom that wasn't even used. The only thing that I didn't like was that it was a bit unorganized. When you needed to find something, you had to go digging through every cabinet and drawer just to find it and information given wasn't very clear. But other than that, very nice and staff was very helpful. I would totally recommend!

Fantastic House in a great location
Every step of the way was a breeze with Tahoe Getaways. They helped us find a great house near Squaw to fit our group of 11. They were super responsive when we had a few minor issues and even called to check up to make sure we were happy. We will definitely be renting from them next year!
