goed restaurant, makkelijk dichtbij parkeren, goede locatie. Prijs-kwaliteit prima.
geen goede ventilatie in badkamer, waardoor het vochtig blijft. Matras is dringend aan vervanging toe.

I stay here regularly. It offers me a clean comfortable room. I feel safe. I have everything I need including peace and quiet. The location suits as I visit my brother in law regularly at his care home. I live 200 miles away. Having a supermarket close means I can pop and get bots and Bob's.
The 11 O'clock check out works too.

Staff and location, very clean.
Most uncomfortable bed ever due to the fact it was so long lumpy. Walls really thin can hear everything in next rooms.

This is a lovely pub with well catered for rooms. The breakfast was buffet and very nice with staff being very helpful. The food for dinner was nice but the buffalo chicken would be better with a sauce in dipping style than poured over as it was a bit overbearing. The room was nice and well equipped. The toilet roll holder being placed above the toilet so it's behind you was a bit odd but there is a reason I'm sure. Staff were friendly and there is a Morrisons directly over the road and an Aldi up the road so not much more could be asked of for the location.

Conveniently situated for our purposes, clean, comfortable and good value for money.
Good food and drink choices

Friendly and helpful staff. Free parking. Proximity to Edgbaston cricket ground. Bathroom very clean and modern.
Bedroom was very tired, looks like some water get through in ceiling and on a windowsill. TV didn’t work.

The food was nice
The coffee and the level of cleanliness in the breakfast room.
I also think that there could be a few more hooks in the bathroom

Excellent location for our visit and comfortable clean room with good shower.
No lift to top floor. Fire alarm went off at 3am . Breakfast was reasonable but we had to keep asking for things.
3.8
Easy bus ride into the city. Great beer selection in the bar. Free parking.
Woken in the early hours by piss artists talking loudly outside our room in the outside area.

Convenient for purpose of visit.
This was a family gathering to celebrate my husband’s 70th birthday. We recommended this venue to family but feel the hotel let us down.
On arrival we had to wait for the receptionist as there was the chef on reception.
The bed was clean but mattress very poor quality with the springs very prominent, not conducive to a restful night.
Breakfast facilities were poor. Felt very DIY! Instant coffee sachets rather than fresh coffee only. Same for tea. Drinks & fruit juice not conveniently situated with rest of breakfast( across dining area on the pub bar).
Cooked breakfast, poor due to inadequate number and training of staff. The plates had grease spots and smears. The scrambled egg was dry and overcooked. The sausages were cooked and served in a bunch with no separation of the strings, making it extremely difficult to select an individual sausage.
Only small amounts of food cooked at a time so long wait for food, which by the time it arrived the rest available was cold. Given the cost of breakfast I expected more than 1 sausage and 2 halves of tomato but due to time factor couldn’t wait any longer. Extremely disappointing!
My son and his partner had to pay an extra £2 each on top of breakfast already paid for just to get fresh coffee. There was actually no breakfast left for my son and his partner ended up with a slice of toast ( no clean plates) and a spoonful of baked beans.

For the room rate paid it was good value for money, plenty of parking which was 'free'. Room was a good size, clean and comfortable. Good location to where I needed to be.

Excellent location: 4.5 mile canal walk into Birmingham. Easy walk to Bournville and Cadbury World. A lovely clean pub and no issues with noise in the room.
TV temperamental, but not a significant problem.
3.8
Convenient location for access by vehicle, free car park, nearby walkable facilitues, food etc in Stirchley, train station in Bournville and buses to city. Rooms comfortable, shower good, all very clean.
Breakfast limited range fitted with reasonable low price, but prefer to pay more for better method of service: no porridge and cooked breakfast buffet style OK but food semi luke warm and bacon cardboard like. So, that detracted a bit, if I stay again, I would not have breakfast.
3.8
Friendly staff, good food, overall a good place to stay.
Breakfast was a bit cheap looking, how it was presented. But good choice and bearing in mind I didn't pay a lot for the room it was reasonable.

The location was fine. The last time I was there was on 8th October 1971 for my stag night. But I remember much about that to be honest.
The staff were friendly and helpful especially the girl on reception on Friday night when we arrived. She was lovely.
The only criticism I have really is the cooked breakfast was not very hot.

Very clean and comfortable. Decent parking and would definitely stay again.

The bathroom was spotless, however, the carpet could have been cleaner. The bed was also spotless and comfy. But the room was worn and tired and would have benefitted from a hoover and a lick of paint.
The room needs a make over, I didn't like that my ground floor window opened on to the courtyard for customers so I felt that I couldn't have my window open. There was a blind but no 'nets' or curtains so dressing/undressing has to be done with the light on and blind down as the ground floor window opened onto the courtyard. Internal doors banging into the night.

Shower was nice.
Breakfast was nice but not worth the extra charge.
Told on arrival that there was no food available and the kitchen was closed. Being disabled the only option was to order in.
Telly didn't work, had to go to the bar to get a staff member.
Bathroom door was so squeaky and loud, woke each of us up going to the toilet.
Beds were so uncomfortable, mattress springs digging into our backs. As a person with bad mobility it was made worse by this. Had to use the duvet as a sleeping bag so that I could get some relief, only 1 pillow so used a towel to prop my head up.
Only stayed here as I had an appointment at the hospital close by, spent the day feeling totally exhausted.

The first 2 nights I had stayed was in a nice room with things and services I expected along with a clean and warm room it was a good sleep and I liked the time there
The room I stayed in was number 7. The walls were dirty also the shower had mould all around the base. One of the beds in the twin room was broken. I didn’t have any complimentary was products or items for a hot drink! I had asked for this to be sorted out and all that I was given was a gravy boat filled with milk!! I had paid £75 for not even a 24 hour stay!
I’m really disappointed with the room along with the price and the treatment from the staff. I had stayed 2 nights prior to this in room number 52 and there was no issue it was warm, clean and had everything I had paid for and this was £55 per night!
I asked the management for a refund but was told I had to make a complaint to booking.com for this! £75 isn’t a small amount of money to pay out especially for the lack of service and cleanliness I had received!!

24 hour check in was good as we was running late due to traffic and it was quiet even being on top of a pub.
It was freezing cold we couldn't stay the night had to check out at 1am the bed was so uncomfy and the duvet was non existent

Enjoyed our stay(4 time) so very convenient for visiting family
There wasn’t anything

nice interior, a little rough looking from outside but pleasantly surprised on entering. good food but extortionate alcohol prices! no Bacardi ☹️ only Havana which is ok but prefer my regular rum. good meals but dodgy sausage at breakfast.
we were on ground floor and the window handle was broken so couldn’t lock, anyone could have got in.

It’s ok very basic
It was easy for me I was at the hospital visiting somebody

Good location and nice room
Arrived early, room was ready, but had to pay for early check-in - suggest the Manager changes this protocol IF the room is ready.
3.8
Location and free parking, pleasant staff
The cups and skins in the room were dirty, decor in hallway and rooms were dated. Rooms not very sound proof…….. sounded like the person snoring was in the same room as us

Kitchen needs a chef.

Some of the bar staff were friendly & welcoming. The person who received us was very welcoming and helpful. The room was warm and the bed was comfy.
The manager was having an argument over the phone when we arrived, in the reception area. The walls are very thin and you can hear the person above you and next door going to the toilet etc. The blinds were not sufficient coverage for the smoking area right outside our window and the walkway lights that were on outside, all night. The shower door had come off its hinges and we fixed ourselves. The toilet seat was coming away and there was a large hole in the bathroom ceiling. The breakfast was cold and had been sat in the warmers all morning.

The food was fantastic and the staff friendly . Room was very nice and warm onxe the heater had been on for a bit
Can't honestly find anything not to like
3.8
Although the bathroom looked a bit like student accommodation, the shower was good.
Reception seemed to assume that I knew where the room was and I had never been there before. No real friendliness or any information given- I had arrived late due to fog on the motorway. The tile in the bathroom was missing- and the toilet roll holder was broken, the skirting boards had splattered paint- so it felt a little bit run down. The next day ordering a coffee seems a bit too much for the person, given it was quite quiet, it seemed a bit odd. Had to ask for a spoon, then ask for sugar- then they forgot the coffee for a friend.

Cheap / clean / friendly staff
Was a bit cold / could hear the music in the bar downstairs

Nice warm welcome good breakfast
No Milk in rooms for coffee and no one on reception to ask.
