Location great, kitchen was a mess and dirty dishes in cupboards. Worst was the queen bed in second room- hard as a rock…luckily after a few days they switched to twin beds….lot of sand and some mold inbathrooms…atleast we cud sweep up the sand,screen door broken.

The only good thing was the address. I have never stayed in such a poorly prepared property! Grit on the floor, dirt on the baseboards and louvered doors to the point of cobwebs, sliding curtains on the window wall that wouldn’t open to the deck, and items under the bed, bathroom toilet that ran and a dishwasher that would wake the dead when the door was moved an inch! The property was not properly cleaned and when we reported the problem a cleaning team of 2 came out and did such a poor job, that grit was not removed and we were told that cleaning louvered doors was not their job. That was supposedly done at spring cleaning, again, obviously NOT done as this was June and impossible for the amount of dirt visible could have accumulated in 3 months. Dishwasher needed a part so we were treated to the screeching sound at every meal/snack - an audible reminder to never do this again! Clearly the owners never checked on the prep of their unit, and mistakenly thought Vacasa was taking care of it. Other units I’ve stayed in did not have this problem. Whatever Vacasa’s management fee is, it’s NOT being earned. BEWARE STAYING AT VACASA PROPERTY

We arrived and the one bed was not made up. The sheets were filthy and there was sand all through the bed. Reported it and they send new sheets.
The floor was also filthy, after being there for an hour everyone's feet were black and socks were also black. Reported it and the came and mopped the floor a day or two later.
Finally the dishwasher never worked. Reported it the day we checked in ( 7/16 and no one showed up to look at it until 7/22). After looking at it they were still unable to fix it. So all of the dishes were dirty and we were unable to use the dishwasher the whole time we stayed there.

Location was great and view was awesome. Apartment was a little dusty and floors not washed, but overall it was nice. Dishwasher did not work. Glass coffee table not kid safe. Outlets in rooms need to be fixed, they were hanging out with wires exposed. Again, careful if you have small children. Toilet in master bedroom did not flush properly. Also, the outside banisters had wide openings compared to the other housing complexes in Sea Colony. Our child could stick his head through and possibly fall. We had to keep the patio door closed at all times. I know this part is Sea Colony’s responsibility and not the owners or Vacasa.

We have been coming to Bethany for several years and always stay at the Sea Colony. We love the area and location but cleanliness seems to be a consistent issue. This unit needs a THOROUGH cleaning. The floors were filthy with sand and hair along all of the baseboards. The bathroom is in serious need of updating, as it looks like something from the 80s, with mold all along the caulking. Both toilets have flushing issues and need replaced. The couch was full of sand and the pillows are extremely cheap and uncomfortable. All of the furniture needs updated. Honestly, for what the rental rate is, I expected much more. Will not stay in this unit again.

Three nights at Sea Colony, Bethany Beach, DE
The first day we arrived we were rather disappointed for not being able to open the slider to get on to the ocean facing balcony. We called Vacassa, property managers and launched a complaint but no one was sent until 10 AM next morning. We had even made a personal trip to their office in the Marketplace. So we could not make use of the balcony for the entire afternoon and evening of the day we checked in.
The closet in one of the bedrooms had a bundle of used towels left on the shelf and all sorts of unusable odd items were also left in that closet.
I will mention that the kitchen is well stocked with utensils and gadgets for those who are interested in cooking. The bathrooms could be updated especially the hallway bathroom.
The bedding was alright but we could used blankets.

Great condo! Well equipped and nicely updated.
This was our second summer renting a condo at Sea Colony. We really enjoyed our time on the property and appreciated the surface cleanliness of the unit. That said, this condo is in need of a deep clean, specifically under beds/furniture. With two toddlers I was frequently looking under beds, etc. for small toys that rolled under, and I was met with very dirty floors. Based on the way this place has been updated, it's clear the owners take pride in their condo so this is not a reflection on them. If deep cleaned at least once/twice a season, this wouldn't have been an issue. We also noticed the showers weren't as clean as they could be, so extra attention in the bathrooms would be appreciated. Again, the condo was well equipped and the owners provided their own cleaning supplies for use, which was nice. The only other thing that would have been helpful is access to the storage locker, as when I was cleaning up before we left I found a letter from the owners stating we could have borrowed their chairs/umbrellas that were kept in the locker, however we were never provided a key.

Nice condo and views; not clean
The condo itself was nice. Nice furnishing. Fantastic view. Sea Colony has a lot to offer families of all ages! However the unit was not at all clean, particularly the floors which are a nice vinyl plank and should be easy to clean. After buying a swifter wet mop (and cleaning multiple times), I was finally able walk around the condo without getting black feet. This is a reflection on the management company and not the owners. In addition, the advertised beach locker was locked and the management company could not find the keys. One of the bathroom doors auto-locked upon being closed (so we were locked out multiple times). And the other bathroom sink did not drain. This is all a reflection on Vacasa, not the specific unit or owners.

Sea colony stay
Unit 604 in Farragut at the Sea Colonies: The proximity to the beach as well as the ocean facing balcony are the two best aspects of this condo. Although the kitchen seems newer and Laminate flooring has been installed, the rest of the condo has an older, outdated aesthetic. The soft furnishings are well worn and harbor an odor. I’d highly suggest the owners get the sliding door in working order as it is nearly impossible to open-close-it’s very heavy and does not slide. The pool area at Edgewater is super clean and well maintained. The condo is fine for a few fun days at the beach, but would probably try another unit next time.

Outdated
The room was very outdated. Built in the 1970's, very little has been done to update this unit. We were shocked to find that, after returning from a brief walk, the cleaning crew was inside our unit before we had checked out. A had confirmed a noon checkout with Resort Quest. We won't stay there again. We are not new to Bethany, having stayed there on more than a dozen occasions over the past twenty years. Very disappointing.

Lovely and comfortable with lovely surprises
The beach condo was lovely decorated and the kitchen had lovely high end appliances and cookware. Throughout it was a true lovely vacation home. Thank you for sharing it.
