STAFF NEED TRAINING AND CUSTOMER SERVICE NEEDS TO BE LOOKED AT

Hotel was pleasant itself but staff need training

I received a call form the hotel to say that all our guest where banned form the bar area due to an incident that happen the night before at 10pm, when i checked with staff none of our staff arrived at the hotel until 3am that day due to working late, I have asked for cctv to see who these people are, and still nothing, I then called the hotel again for clarification to be told there was a mix-up and it was not our party involved. I have asked to speak to a manager and still nothing. Please sort your procedures our before accusing the wrong guest of their involvement. VERRY UMPORFFESIONAL ,

We enjoyed the first night, but were exhausted the second due to night time noise from another room.

There was a parking space. Room was comfortable. Swimming pool surroundings were warm and comfortable.

noise heard from another room, until about 5am, very loud talking. This had kept us both awake and there was no phone to call reception. Somebody pinched my towel, from the changing room and I had to walk, in the wet swimwear, to my room. The pool opened some half an hour to late, to fit both, morning swim and breakfast. It would help if the pool opened at 8:30 am. Similarly, it closed to early, to have a swim, after a day of sightseeing.

close to beach - adequate for what we wanted - a little expensive for one night - £158

staff very helpful - requested another duvet - arrived in mins. would have been nice to have two pillows each and more milk to put in our coffee - two not enough, breakfast good

Came down 3 minutes late for breakfast with my two young children. Asked a member of staff at the front desk if I could still get in for breakfast. I was told no and no other help was offered.

Overall acceptable.

We liked the kindness of the 2 afternoon receptionists whilst the morning receptionist was quite cold. The swimming pool was not super but it was still nice to have it especially for the kids. The swimming pool room was kept sufficiently warm and the water wasn't too cold. Our room wasn't very clean to be honest but it was spacious enough. Unfortunately it wasn't possible to open the window so especially in the afternoon/evening it was difficult to cope with hot and humidity inside the room, also falling asleep hasn't been a pleasure. Overall, and just overall, we'd have another go with Carrington House Hotel, despite the fact that additional £10 a day for a little dog is a robbery in our opinion since there's no service offered to balance those money(no it's not about extra cleaning as the room wasn't clean already), it's like charging customers £10 for the 3rd suitcase, nothing is offered in exchange, it's just taking advantage of customers, we accepted just cause we had to stay for 2 nights only and cause this hotel was one of the cheapest options that have a swimming pool and it's near the beach. Their restaurant is too expensive for both breakfast and dinner, for the same money or less you can go near the beach or in town to eat. There's plenty of free parking space inside the hotel's property or right outside on the road.

Era o que tinha pro momento.

A localização é boa, o hotel é animado e oferece música ao vivo no bar a noite.

O quarto estava ok, mas em cima do conjunto de xícaras disponíveis para chá, as colheres que estavam em cima se encontravam usadas. Cheguei na minha casa com o pescoço todo picado de insetos.

We only slept there and spent most of the day out it wasn’t bad.

It’s right near the bus stops and has an inside pool, table games and bar

The carpets are not very clean, the doors are so hard to open. The first day we arrived we were given keys to a room that was already occupied of which I found dangerous

Old Hotel.

We had a great time but could be better if this little things were done

The pool is great but could be open for longer periods! Great and close location for the beach and shopping area.

The rooms are so warm and there was not any type of facility like fan or a frigobar in the room at least we could have enjoyed more our time in the hotel. The restaurant menu was limited and with short options for food. The clean room service was not collected in 5 days that we stayed there as such, changing towels and collecting the bins. This is the minimum room service that was expected.

Cheap but not 100% cheerful

Good location, TV in room, bath

The staff member on reception didn’t mention it was on the first floor- he just said round to the right and the room plaques say up to over 100 and an arrow but then they end in the 70’s. I walked all the way around with a suitcase to realise my number wasn’t there and had to assume it was on the next floor. Parking- minimal- I had to park in a disabled bay.

Very poor hygiene wise and very tired rooms

Staff were lovely and helpful. Downstairs was lovely and clean

As soon as as you go upstairs it was filthy paintwork on doors was dirty I didn’t even want to touch it l. Lift broke while in it hole in bathroom door soap holders hadn’t been cleaned and were full of used soap bath was dirty hairs in plug hole I think the sink had been given a quick clean. Mould on window frames and net curtains and curtains had all stains on them

Free parking, easy enough to find. 20Min walk to beach and town center

Dirty, room was unclean, dirty used towels in bath and bed not made. Staff were rude, acted like our concerns were not their problem regarding safety and hygiene. Room was right next to the front door, no windows but had a door instead that lead right out to the front of the building and the carpark. Door was locked however was flimsy and made us feel very unsafe. When we bought it up to ask if we could stay with our friends (which we were previously told to do so before they cleaned our room) the night staff got defensive and we’re not reassuring of it and acted like the victim when, as two young women alone in an area they have never been too, I think this is a valid concern.

Breakfast was good and the beach was very close.

I didn't like for example .The check in was from 15:00,and the rooms wasn't ready.Many new guest was waiting for the room half or one hours front of the recepcion.The room wasn't clean enough.On thr ground floor men toilet was disgusting.We are eat breakfast in the hotel restaurant and the plates was dirty.When we went to the pool the changing room was very dirty.

I needed a place to sleep for a couple of nights that didn’t cost the earth, and that’s what I got.

Good location, free on-site parking

Decoration was dated and shabby. Walls paper thin, could hear snoring, footsteps and talking through the walls at night.

Overall its a good place for a short stay and value for money

Overall neat and clean , basic facilities. Staff was helpful.

Not enough car parking space. There were no towels in the room .. had to ask to provide.. There was no daily cleaning of the rooms. No phone in the room. Pathetic local wifi. Charging point for mobile not available near the bed side. No room fridge.. TV remote control .. not user friendly.. TV screen size is not matched with the size of the room.. Table tennis rackets need to be changed.

Our twin room was comfortable with clean bedding and soft white towels. Restaurant food adequate.

Comfortable beds with clean bedding and spare pillows. Two fans were found in the wardrobe, although we didn’t need to use them as the room wasn’t overly warm. Lovely white BIG towels and really nice tea bags and coffee that had a taste to them. The reception desk team were helpful and polite. One gentleman helped us in with our luggage. The hotel allowed pets which was great but there didn’t seem to be any facilities to store our dogs fresh food and medicine in. So we had to make do with some freezer blocks we’d bought which a member of staff did refresh in a nearby freezer.

On our first night (Sunday 26/5) we didn’t feel hungry enough for the three course restaurant meal so I went to the bar to order a cheeseburger, chips and salad. I asked how long it would take before it was ready to collect as I wanted to eat in my room. The young bar man -who was the only staff member taking orders and serving drinks - said about 15-20 minutes so I returned for the time he gave me. I waited in the bar and when he eventually came back to the bar, there were four or five people waiting to order food and or drinks. No one else came to help him and he didn’t appear to call for help. There were some tables with dirty pots on which he had to also juggle clearing as well as going to get the orders from the kitchen which seemed to be further away than the bar. Eventually after 50 minutes waiting I was feeling a bit disappointed. I’d queried with him about my order but he just quietly mumbled something about there being a lot of orders. I wouldn’t have minded had he originally told me to come back in 50 min and not 15-20! So feeling rather hungry and slightly losing my patience, I decided to speak with the reception desk. As the lady was just about to call the kitchen on her device, the young man arrived with three meals. One of which was mine. So I returned to my room to enjoy it. I felt the young man who seemed quiet and shy lacked a welcoming presence and probably just guessed how long he thought my meal would take to arrive. I felt His customer service skills were lacking.

i got a deal so i am grateful for that, but if i paid the full price i would've been disappointed

breakfast was good, although the coffee did not taste like quality coffee.

bed was poor comfort and shower facilities were poor. also needed more toiletries and towels. also unable to book in until 4pm, which meant i felt cheated out of benefitting from the time i spent at the hotel.
