Very comfortable beautiful with everything we needed

Hard to find anything wrong but for me the tv was too complicated. After a tough working day I don’t want to program in my details just to watch telly. I’m sure for teckies it’s fine.

The location of this place, the views how clean it is, how welcoming the hosts were I just can't wait to go back! I'm so picky about which places I stay in I hunted for a week in so many locations but this one stood out! But when we arrived and saw it in person it was even better!!
It just felt like home! Anne and Stuart just make you feel so welcome. It honestly feels like home. I didn't want to leave!!

Well-equipped Annex with bedroom (comfy bed), lounge, kitchen, bath room and outside sitting areas, all on one floor (no stairs). Quiet, despite closeness to the road. Location on the outskirts of a small village makes it easy to reach Gloucester, Cirencester and other attractions in no time. Off-road private parking and lovely hosts. Ideal spot to stay a few days.

Amazing cottage, Stuart and Anne are lovely people. Little touches make all the difference, like leaving milk and fresh bread on arrival, really good base for exploring the area, stunning views, would definitely stay again
Nothing, everything was great

Lovely apartment, well-equipped kitchen,, great location, very helpful owners - and fresh bread
Nothing - but think it would be helpful to have written instructions for heating etc, and the cupboard for hanging coats doesn't quite work.

Our first meal we ate in the garden. It was disappointing to find the outside table unclean and had a gritty feel to the touch showing it hadn’t been cleaned for a while and there was alot of cobwebs from chair to chair showing it hadn’t just appeared that day. We didn’t dare open the parasol for what could drop over our food. It was disappointing as forecast was good for the week and it would have been nice to have had it cleaned ready to be used. We went to pour a glass of wine and found the glass smeary, water marked and dusty and found all the glasses were the same. The plates and mugs looked like they needed a wash so before eating we felt we had to wash up the bare minimum we would be using. We went to make hot drinks the following morning and wasn’t best pleased when filling the kettle to see the kettle needed descaling but we still used it but by Thursday evening there was bits floating in the kettle so ended up using a small saucepan to boil water which again had to be washed. The first night we noticed 2 dead spiders in the shower hanging from webs and others in 2 corners. The next day we tried to ignore the spiders in corners of every room apart from the hallway. By Thursday morning it was brought to the owners attention about the amount of spiders and the unclean glasses and was told by Stuart they have the spiders as well and will be back tomorrow if got rid of and Anne said the cleaner was told to clean the glasses. Stuart came round and cleaned all the corners using a feather duster including one above the toaster and cooker hob which allowed whatever dusted to drop below making it feel the toaster which we used unclean. We didn’t use the toaster again. As he was dusting he was saying again they will be back tomorrow, well Sunday morning came when we were leaving, it’s only our word but apart from a couple in the bathroom there was no other spiders.
Even if they were going to be back that’s no excuse to have so many spiders/webs in two or more corners in just about every room. The rooms should have been clear when we first walked in. He did ask if there was anything else, we did say about not being able to still get Netflix/catchup which up to when we left we still didn’t, we forgot about the kettle but considering how the glasses was handled we didn’t hold much hope of it being cleaned but admittedly we didn’t give them the chance. If a guest wasn’t happy with the cleanliness ALL complaints should have been dealt with straight away. We can see a lot of attention has gone into final touches but it’s paramount it’s the attention to cleanliness that’s important. Unfortunately you begin to be aware of other areas that may need attention. The visitors book suggests the air b&b has been running since May which puzzles us why the property looks so worn eg wallpaper peeling and looks like a lot of jobs have been rushed eg wallpaper joins show, wonky sockets and the meeting of curtain poles not even. There’s an expectation (the price) that the finish look would be much better. We think things like making excuses about the spiders and not cleaning glasses made us feel we were making a fuss about nothing. There has been positives, the bed was very very comfortable, the view from the back is amazing. Our experience might be off putting to others but it’s still a nice place to stay but think the £100 a night is excessive based on our experience. As further points, if both owners are unsure how to use the remotes to use catch up or Netflix perhaps get someone who does and write step by step instructions whilst being shown, check the cleaner has cleaned and some attention to the shower is needed, not sure what the tin foil does but Stuart adjusting the temperature dial from extremely hot to hot and not being able to move dial any further isn’t great when the temperatures outside are mid 20s.
