Just what I needed - safe, central, private

Location extremely close without being in the centre and very quiet. Everything was really well catered for, hosts helpful and the bed was one of the most comfortable ever

Comfy, warm, clean, great location

Gorgeous and characterful little cottage, which is perfectly appointed for exploring Hebden Bridge and the rest of Calderdale

Only complaint was the temperamental coffee machine - but lots of nice cafes in walking distance so not really an issue!

This quirky and immaculate house is an absolute delight in every way.

Delightful little house tucked away from main road. Very central for Hebden Bridge and the railway station is just across the road. Accommodation beautifully decorated, spotless, very comfortable and with great attention to detail. So thoughtful to have a welcome basket too.

Perfect for one or two people, close to town and the station. Fantastic hosts too

All the little extras on top of a superb small cottage. included were eating treats, 10 coffee pods, fresh milk, bottle of wine Everything worked along with some excellent laminated explanatory notes. It looked brand new

Brilliant.

It was brilliant. Extremely comfy, great location, well kitted out, all mod cons, very stylish, quiet, parking @ 5 minutes walk, lovely welcome basket, great communications and had a fantastic time in Hebden Bridge.

Lovely Quirky Cottage

Loved this quirky little cottage. Location to town was excellent. Although we saw other reviews that parking was a issue at times, we didn't experience it. Parked on Burnley Road each day. The cottage is well equipped for self catering but we ate out every day. Lovely touch was the welcome basket, milk,wine,biscuits but also teabags and coffee, sugar there for our use too. Shower is fab. Satellite tv , dab radio. The tunnel was intriguing. Brilliant communication from the 2 host's before our stay and emergency numbers offered if needed. Would definitely recommend a visit and if in the area again would certainly return.

There was nothing to dislike.

A hidden little gem in Hebden

Well what can I say apart from what a little gem of a place easy walking distance from the centre with free parking just along the road. It is beautiful inside spotlessly clean and the little welcome touch of the wine and biscuits was amazing. The hosts are really easy to contact and I would recommend this little place for two to anyone.

A delightful property with a secret tunnel to find!

Beautifully furnished , and a few basics to make arrival comfortable. The host checked in during stay to ensure all was ok. Location is great between station and town & although it’s just off the main road it was very quiet with no road noise. The property is full of historic character a real gem.

Just be aware the stairs are quite steep but otherwise perfect.

Great little getaway in a great location.

The Well House is in a great location, and a really comfortable, homely and quirky place to stay.

Erm, I’m struggling but maybe the bedroom could do with a black out blind - it was sunny in Hebden!

Super base for Hebden Bridge

Characterful, immaculate little house which was very quiet, tasteful and comfortable. It was well-equipped and very close to town centre.

Parking difficult at busy times and unclear parking situation at station. Air freshener in bathroom very strong. Struggled with some of the technology, the heating seemed only to come on in the morning. Plastic plants. Having said this, would stay again.

superb property in great location

modern, well equipped, thoughtfully designed and dressed it was a pleasure to spend time in. it’s also a great location at then end of town so away from the buzz but yet only 5 minutes walk to the centre, the park and the canal. Superb.

this is a nitpick as it’s the same across Hebden Bridge but parking is a pfaff. it’s street parking further along the main road if you want free parking and you are competing with train commuters trying to avoid parking fees. you could be quite a bit along the road. there are paid car parks close by though.

Perfect for a short stay.

Very clean and nicely done out property. Tea, coffee, milk and wine were very welcome. The property was warm and no problems with the hot water. You can park further up the road for free (opposite direction to town) which is very useful. Property is very well located. Short walk to shops restaurants and bars but without the noise. There are lots of neighbours in the adjacent properties. Everyone was friendly but you need to be aware of open windows and blinds

Bigger towels would be handy. You can hear nesting in the roof which kept us awake. Earplugs would be useful if you are a light sleeper.

Loved it

The well house is a beautiful place with loads of character. It's great value for money and has everything that you could need and more. It is ideally located near the shops, canal and train station and is set back from the road so it's lovely and quiet. It was also spotlessly clean.

Exceptional

The house was immaculately kept and easy to find. On arrival, we found a beautiful welcome basket with some lovely things - a bottle of red wine, some chocolates and biscuits, as well as tea, coffee and both dairy and oat milk. The living room and bathroom are exceptionally comfortable and the shower is excellent. The bedroom is lovely and warm and the blankets in the bedroom were excellent quality. The kitchen is also really well stocked should you wish to cook.

The pillows on the bed were a little hard but there were spares in the wardrobe which were much softer. We found the bedroom a little bit too warm but not to any major discomfort, and we both managed to sleep well on both nights.

Enjoyable stay, wonderful hosts, highly recommended.

The Well House is spotlessly clean, beautifully styled and full of Hebden Bridge character. Thoughtfully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Perfect location for exploring the town and surrounding area. The basket full of welcome goodies was a lovely touch, and even more so because having let our hosts know that we're vegan, everything in it was specially selected and vegan-friendly! We couldn't have asked for more.

Completely a matter of personal preference, but we found the pillows uncomfortable - they were very full and firm (in my wife's words - "like sand bags"). Probably just more luxurious than we're used to!

Superb

High spec finish and a super clean lovely little house. Good communication from hosts and an unexpected box of treats for our arrival. Will be booking a stay again .

Steep stairs had to be taken with care. The only reason we dropped the score ( and would have done 9.5 if able) was for the lack of on site parking which we were aware of and not unusual for Hebden Bridge.

Short Yorkshire break.

The accommodation is excellent, the fittings and furniture are of a very high standard. The cottage is perfectly situated in Hebden Bridge within a short walk of plenty of great pubs, restaurants and shops. Ian and Robert were easy to contact and the response time was quick with the welcome basket being a thoughtful touch. We had a lovely 3 nights here and would not hesitate to book again.

Super, can highly recommend, and would gladly return.

The facility is perfect in every respect providing you don't need a country side view, it's more for the active visitor that will be making use of the superb sightseeing, walks and hiking.

The weather could have been better, but still plenty to see and do.

It was a very relaxing place to stay

The whole house was excellent. The goodies on arrival were a nice touch too. The location is very close to the train station and just a short walk from centre of town

The wasn't anything to dislike.
