Super clean place, nice big kitchen with actually sharp knives. This was very close to some great hiking spots. Space enough for my family of four. We also enjoyed the view out back and saw deer, herons, and lots of dragonflies. Beds are comfy, and we all slept very well at night. This was perfect for a week to decompress. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

A summer retreat (return trip) to a quiet and beautiful area. Hiked in gorgeous nature preserves every day and hung out on the crescent pebble beach across the road. Bliss!

This cabin was the perfect way to start our vacation in Maine. The cabin is secluded but there is still activities to do 20-30 min away. The host left us a list of things to do and restaurants to try that were around the area. The cabin has an amazing view of the sunset over the water and the stars were stunning. We saw a family of deer in the backyard. It felt like a home away from home! We would love to go back one day!

Stayed here with my father and brother while we were visiting my mother. Spent the week at this quiet and cozy seaside cabin. Beautiful views of the water during the day and all the stars at night. Would definitely stay here again if we ever come back. The host was very friendly and answered any questions we had.

We had our original VRBO cancel last minute, so we found this place, we are so glad we did! Steven was wonderful to work with, he always reponed within an hour or less. The house was so clean, well stocked, and so much fun. Get up, walk down the road and watch the sunrise, it's worth it. Highly recommend staying here!

We enjoyed it. Really quiet. Nice, cozy place. Pretty wild country there. A lot of deer (and on the roads). Roughly an hour to Acadia. Access to water is not great for swimming purposes, but the sunsets are nice and the so is watching the tide. We only stayed 3 nights, so not everything explored, obviously.

Mom in her 80's has mobility challenges and this cottage provided necessary access amenities. Tho physically motion might be difficult, her heart soared to be in this wonderful place for even a few days, the birds and deer and trees and breezes, the changing tidal views kept her entranced. Trails nearby on refuge gave me plenty of wandering time and miraculously little traffic. Hope to return sometime soon.

My sister and I try to get away once a year and this was a great home base for our adventures. Clean, quiet and private.

This was an awesome place to stay! The cabin had everything we needed and was clean and in a beautiful location. The check in process was seamless. The owner Steven checked in with us a couple of times via text to see if we had any questions or needed anything.. Which I appreciated. I would definitely recommend staying here!

The house was just what we were hoping to find for our vacation. It was a home away from home. We were able to relax in comfort after a day spent exploring the area. Everything was very clean and well stocked with whatever might be needed for our stay. We were pleased to find features which made it easier for someone with mobility challenges.
Steven was great! A tropical storm was expected during our stay and Steve made sure we knew what we needed to do. We would like return to this rental again if we are in the area. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

This house was comfortable, well provisioned, and had the added benefit of accessibility with a ramp, shower chair, and a grab bar in the shower. Everything we wanted was easily found and the kitchen had all a cook could ever want. The water view in the back and abundance of wildlife just added to the experience.

The location of the Cozy and Quiet cottage to the numerable walks in the area is a plus. Although it is right on the road to Petit Manon NWF the traffic isn't an issue.
The kitchen is adequately furnished including everything you would need for a lobster dinner. You can purchase fresh lobster at the dock in Winter Harbor.
The bed in the small bedroom is comfortable and being able to open the windows makes for a nice sleep. The futon in the back room isn't particularly comfortable.
Even though there is a house on both sides, it is private due to the vegetation between. (There wasn't anyone in on either side).
Overall we could recommend this old style cottage and would stay here again.

This was initially a little further out than I had thought but that turned out to be a wonderful advantage. It was just perfect for our vacation. It had everything we needed and the view of the sky was spectacular.

This house was perfect! Very cute inside, excellent communication with owner, beautiful location, short distance to beach and walking trails

Situated on the narrowest part of a peninsula, exactly between world-class nature preserves, with a tidal basin cove in the back yard and beach access across the street, this comfortable cottage just can’t be beat. Loved the entire region…visited multiple preserves and hiking trails. Very quiet and restful. Swam in Pigeon Hill Bay every day!

We loved the secluded location close to the water and far from crowds. The house itself was clean and cozy and the kitchen was set up well for guests. There was a wonderful short hike a mile away to to a small peak. The day we did that was foggy but we could tell the views would have been spectacular. There was so much to do within about an hour or so's drive we wish we had stayed longer (we were there three nights.) One highlight: we saw a young porcupine less than 50 yards from the house! Also—I don't know if this is a standard Down East coast thing, or just some good luck—but the temperatures were a refreshing 20 degrees cooler than inland Maine temperatures we encountered while driving from across the western part of the state. There was no air conditioning but it wasn't needed even though it was July. Windows had screens to allow for cross-ventilation. We'd love to return for a longer stay!

The cabin was just as described and then some! The beds were comfortable, the cabin spacious, and the views breathtaking. Steven was very communicative leading up to and after checkout. My kids enjoyed seeing and hearing all the wildlife, and enjoying cups of coffee on the back porch was my highlight

This is an old style cottage good for 2-4 people. Birders would especially enjoy the tidal wetland for shorebirds.

A quaint and comfortable cottage with ocean views and a lovely nature sanctuary with oceanside paths. Very quiet and peaceful place to get away. Steve, our host, was very helpful and always available. A lovely week.

It is a very cute and cozy cabin. The owner is easy to communicate and gave us a lot of tips. The cabin is well stocked and has everything we need from board games to Netflix TV. All beds are comfy and each of us have our own space.
It is situated on a quiet road, close to several trails. Kids love to explore nearby. They saw bold eagles and a porcupine in the backyard and found wild blue berries and pitcher plant in the nearby trail. It is a heaven for nature lovers.

Steve was great to work with, and had the location very well stocked. The location was a bit of a drive from nearby attractions, but quiet and easy to find. Overall a fantastic find!

Quiet and more quiet
Exactly what we wanted: a comfortable and quiet home in a place where almost nothing happens. Very relaxing, peaceful. Sat on the deck and watched birds (mostly seagulls but some eagles), hiked, biked, swam, tried Deano's which was also fun.

Relaxing Escape
Sunsets were amazing here.
Steve thought of everything! The cove sits right behind the property and is just a 2 min walk away. We took our kayaks and had the cove to ourself everytime. It was gorgeous. The road is VERY quiet. We drove into Acadia almost every day (1 hour) and it was so nice to have somewhere quiet to retreat to. The kitchen was stocked with spices and condiments and so many little things you might not think of. Steve was excellent to work with. He was quick to respond and gave us so many good suggestions of where to eat and locally where to go. We did almost all of them! We also enjoyed Tidal Falls which is pretty close, Tracey's seafood down the road and a local ice cream place , "Shanahan's sweet retreat". We also did whale watching with Bar Harbor Whale Co. which was amazing. We spent one week here and I would have loved a few more days.

Beautiful
Lovely, a very romantic, quiet and clean location. The stars are amazingly beautiful, so are the fireflies. Highly recommend staying here. If you walk a bit down the road, you will be walking along the ocean which is amazing. Location can't be beat, 5-10 minute drive from amazing natural parks.

It was a great cabin with good amenities to breakfast and dinner there. Easy access to Schoodic and Winter Harbor ferry to Bar Harbor. Enjoyed the lightning bugs after the beautiful sunsets.

Before checking in Steve the owner reached out and was very helpful with any questions. He was able to get us good directions once we arrived. The camp was well clean and spacious. He ready answered any questions that I had. The camp is near plenty of hiking trains and water. Overall, we were very pleased!

Excellent Retreat
Steven is an excellent host and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It was quiet, little to no traffic, great views and cozy. We only had a little bit of confusion with the wifi password and Steven was very quick to respond and help us sort it out. When we come back to Maine, and we definitely will, we will stay here for sure. Absolutely beautiful and great host!
