About this apartment rental
The Oak Rooms, located on the High Street of the vibrant and historic village of Hurstpierpoint. The property is very convenient and provides easy access to all the amenities the village has to offer. The Oak Rooms is a luxurious, one bedroom, ground floor apartment with modern, ensuite wet room, living room and kitchenette. It has been recently refurbished and was once one of the village’s seven pubs.
About this space
The Oak Rooms is a self-contained premium home, located in the residential end of the High Street of the beautiful, semi-rural village of Hurstpierpoint. Newly refurbished in 2022, the property is named after The Oak, which was a popular village pub on this site, between mid-1800s and the early 20th century.
During its renovation, an original wall promoting “Rock Ales” - supplied by the historic Brighton Rock Brewery - was discovered during renovation, as pictured in this listing. The wall has been carefully restored by a local Brighton artist and blended into the interior décor. A ‘must stay’ for lovers of authentic historical ambience.
The property is a self-contained one-bedroom apartment renovated to a high-end specification. It offers an excellent base to explore the area.

**Noise to be expected due to the location being on the High Street and due to being in close proximity of neighbours
below. Terraced properties do come with some noise as expected. **
We love church bells and embrace the beautiful sound this brings from the wonderful Holy Trinity Church. The Church bells are played during the following hours - Thursday evening from 7.30 p.m - 9.00 p.m. and on Sunday mornings from 7.45 a.m. - 9.40 a.m. Ringing for other events, such as weddings, funeral services etc.
The bedroom is located at the rear and you are able to close the door at night. Some noise is to be expected being on the High Street with a busy road.
With no restrictions and parking meters in place in the village, you are free to park in lots of different places surrounding and we also have the benefit of a free car park, only a minute walk away.
There is a parking bay opposite the property, so you may be able to short time park there if space is available.
The accommodation has one small step leading up to the bedroom. Wheelchairs could be wheeled into the lounge, but I would say beyond the lounge would not work. Perfect for those who prefer a ground-level space.
The front door has two locks and the one key is used for both.
- Be respectful, careful and take care of the property, any spillages we ask to be cleaned as and when they happen.
- No smoking
