It’s a nice looking hotel, my toilet had not been cleaned after the previous occupant, the room I was in had a water tank above it that kept me awake, when I mentioned it in the morning they were very aware of the problem.

Not good location, hotel looking tired and service not great. Cleaners were terrible

Great hotel for a weekend trip. Lovely reception from staff and good facilities. Loved the spa, really had the chance to unwind and recharge. Prices in the bar were a bit steep but generally good.

Wonderful stay, fantastic breakfast with really good choices of hot and cold food. Staff were friendly and efficient. Very comfortable bedroom. Always nice to have a pool .

Checked in and straight back out!
Dated beyond belief, arrived at 19:30 to be told the hotel was full and we didn’t have the room we paid for so they were going to “upgrade” us to the Manor House but there was a wedding on so expect it to be noisy.. we went over to the room and the smell was unbearable! Forget the noise from the wedding the room was bad enough! Went back to reception and they then some how found us a room that we paid for in the main hotel, after carrying all our luggage up to the new room we get in and again this terrible unclean smell, lights don’t work and it looks like it and the rest of the hotel haven’t been updated since the 70’s! Needless to say we checked out and won’t be returning.

Nice hotel, arrived on a Wednesday, lovely breakfast Thursday morning but only warm on Friday morning.

I do like this hotel and have visited on several occasions for meetings and accommodation. The location is beautiful, feels a safe place to stay and overall very quiet apart from the odd door slam. Bar and restaurant facilities and ambience all good. What I would like to see is an upgrade on cleanliness. There was a mouldy type smell in my wardrobe and bathroom, unpleasant smell from toilet and not so fresh pillows.

Great Staff really helpful, everything was clean and tidy, only issue was bar food wait can be very long if they are busy, all in all i will be back.

The hotel is lovely and quiet but definitely in need of a refurb. Service is very slow in the bar and breakfast was ridiculously busy and we had to sit outside. Plenty of free parking on site.

Nice hotel and bar area, rooms were suitable for our needs.

Didnt know its hotel for dogs which we booked lastmimute.first day in afternoon we waited a while in bar to be served.hardly any staff around.we on 1st floor lots glasses outside room on floor not picked even by second day too and this is family hotel what if child ran and fell onto these glasses(wine) etc.
We not told about free swimming towels til last evening.think hotel spends more friendly time to golfers rather than other people.

Not great at all. Hotel looked nice. Room was dated and really stuffy at night. Opening the window had little/no effect. Supplied fan didn’t really help. As it was only early twenties during the day I dread to think how bad it would have been after a hot day. Hardly slept due to the temperature of the room.
Only there two nights. First night no water at all for hours, was told it would be 10-20 mins, but in the end unable to shower before dinner after driving all day to get there. Toilet couldn’t refill after being flushed.
Second night, went to use the pool, it’s quite a small pool. No sauna, there was a steam room which was turned off.

It was a last minute decision to stay in the area. Check-in was good as was the room.
Breakfast good as well..

I booked a birthday surprise for my wife. On arrival I wasn't given the accommodation I had booked and paid for. (Booked grande suite half board.) When I checked on the booking with Expedia it had been altered. The room didn't even have air-conditioning just an electric fan. The food menu was dissapponting and awful, we ordered starters, two steaks but they wasnt even eatable. Made a complaint but just given a complimentary drink, shocking! Service slow, tables not cleared, no-one came and asked if meal was okay. Its a shame a lovely location but such a let down Hilton!

Stayed in one of the larger (and more expensive) suite type rooms in the annex (old hall). Room was nice and quiet, one disadvantage of the old hall is it doesn't have a lift !
Breakfast buffet style, good choice but not piping hot and plates cold.
Had evening dinner in hotel. Only average, expected better.
Hotel lacks a bit of atmosphere, seems to cater for corporate events, weddings and golf breaks. There is nothing else in area, so need a car.
Pool very clean and warm.

This is the second time we’ve stayed here and this time was just as good as the first!
It’s very dog friendly, our room was spacious and clean and the staff (and guests!) were all really friendly.
We ate in the bar one evening. I’m a pescatarian and I had the Nourish Salad Bowl with crispy smoked tofu. I’m not always the keenest on tofu however this meal was absolutely delicious! My partner had the Sausage and Fennel Ragu and he loved that too.
Looking forward to our next visit already!

As expected top class

Stayed just 1 night with my family and the kids loved it. Managed to get 2 sessions in the pool which was great, and the restaurant is decent quality to value too. Definitely can recommend the steak. Would recommend. Really well kept, with histical features

Lovely setting, team very friendly and helpful.

Close and convenient to the motorway, we used it as a stop off on a long journey south. The staff are great and they do a nice little kids packs and free hot chocolate. The hotel is quite dated but clean. Could definitely do with a big refurb. Pool nice and warm, clean but again just dated. The only issue we had was the bed. Never have a stayed on such a noisy, uncomfortable bed. It was like a camp bed.

A beautiful spot in the countryside and the breakfast was nice.

Lovely hotel located in a beautiful area. Very relaxing. Great facilities. We had a meal in the restaurant, the service needs to be improved. We had a spacious room, we were so glad we could open the window, particularly as it was a very warm day. Sadly there is no air con and the bed was very uncomfortable, very hard and rickety.

The restaurant food choice was not appropriate for the hotel. If i had wanted to be served microwave pizza or burger i could have gone to the local petrol station.

A great family break. Good rooms, good food and lovely setting. Staff were all friendly and helpful.

Good hotel for Tewkesbury business stop

Ample FREE parking , please don’t start charging it’s rude , very helpful staff , there was no Guinness at the bar , so they specifically went to to cellar to get a can (bit bizarrely that they only brought one can up , was tempted to order a second can , just for fun )
1.5
Odd business model from a ‘luxury’ hotel chain, if you’re not a Gold/Silver member you won’t be given a bottle of water for your room and there are parking restrictions in some areas for the same reason.

I travel a lot for work and have to say this is one of the nicest hotels I've used in quite a while. This was a family trip with 2 adults and 2 children (1.5 & 4 y)
The staff were fantastic with both the kids and adults.
There was a kids activty room and kids activity sheets given to us on check in which was a nice touch and the kids loved the stickers.
The 2 double beds were fine for us all to get into and the supplied crib also safe and cosy for the baby. Only slight gripe was only 4 little milks for the family although again reception got us extras.
The pool was good for adults and kids, although there is no family changing room which made it slighly hard for us to all get changed this was only a minor inconvenience.
Breakfast plentyful and a wide range for all tastes, also bonus points for a having a wide range of alternatives milks and GF options too.
Checkin and checkout were smooth with no issues.
The hotel is well looked after, as are the grounds but the real gem is the staff which were excellent!

I wanted a place to pray before leaving a conference and staff gave me a free late checkout so that I can do my afternoon prayers. Great service and thank you

Fantastic customer service

Excellent hotel. Staff friendly and welcoming, fabulous building. However whilst quality and variety of breakfast food was excellent unfortunately the “hot” breakfast items were only warm. It would have helped in the plates had been warm too,

Sunday night stay and it was very quiet. Breakfast was excellent value.
Only disappointed was the cleanliness was a bit poor with cobwebs in the bedroom and more in the bathroom which were all to visible and had clearly been there for some time.
2.5
The reception staff were very welcoming and efficient. The room was well appointed although there was no heating on this chilly evening. This was quickly attended too after one call to reception, who provided a good portable heater. The dinner in the dinning room was first class, as was the breakfast.

Amazing place, nice spa and very friendly staff.
2.5
Brilliant stay, very comfortable and lovely staff. Excellent place to stay with a family and will definitely visit again.
