Bathrooms inadequate eg no soap holder/s in shower; meals extremely limited and very expensive; not enough facilities eg no toilet near pool; gardens not cared for; fixtures not serviced eg light switch gave me shocks until it was replaced. Cleaning basic but adequate except for corners that were grimy. Manager lurking in both restaurants was intimidating. Prices of meals were raised but the menus had not been changed. Transport to town was in very dirty vans that rattled and bumped all the way. In Port Vila we were ripped off at a couple of places eg overcharged by more than $10 over 5 items at the main supermarket. Fortunately I noticed but wonder how many others would not have noticed for such a small shopping list.

We had a great time at Nasama. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Both restaurants were excellent. The location was also great - easy to get into town and access local tours and other experiences. The staff were also able to help with booking tours and sharing their local knowledge. Our room was comfortable and clean - the view was fantastic. We would definitely recommend Nasama Resort for anyone travelling to Vanuatu.

Lovely stay. Nice room much nicer than photo. Great view of sea and pool.
Excellent breakfast choices.
2 on site restaurants with delicious food and drinks.
We would absolutely return.

Room need airing out as it had a musky smell. area around the room patio was full of dead leaves from the trees, hadn't been racked during our week there.
However, the food and service at Vila Cafe and the 3 pigs are to die for, excellent, the best.
If these thigs i have listed were done prior to customer arriving it would be more impressive

Water views, pool and beach swimming area are great. Cafe Villa food is delicious

Enjoyed our stay at this resort and were very happy with our decision to stay here over several other resorts we had considered. The resort is a short drive of about 10 minutes from 'downtown' Port Vila and it was very quiet. The included breakfast at Cafe Vila was good every morning. We had dinner there several times too and were overall impressed with the quality of the food. The beach at the resort itself isn't much to talk about, but the snorkelling off the beach on the reef was lovwly and I prefer that anyways. Some things are a bit dated and hopefully you don't have an issue with ants and a few other things creeping about (standard for a tropical island)! The resort amenities are pretty simple but it was all fine for us. Overall really enjoyed our stay at Nasama.

Nasama Resort was an amazing place to stay!
There were two restaurants on site that had great tasting and yet starkly different food on offer. The location was only 10 minutes from town by bus.
The infinity pool had a great view of the small swimming/snorkling spot exclusive to the resort. There were kayaks and snorkelling equipment available to use free of charge.
Staff were super friendly and helpful.

We found all the staff really friendly and helpful.
We know the area has been hit by a number of cyclones this year meaning the grounds aren't as tidy as might be expected.
We found the room to be a little tired and needing some love and kindness.

Nasama Resort is an excellent option for those wanting a relaxing environment where all basic necessities are done really well. There are other more opulent places, but this resort gives an authentic Vanuatu experience.

spacious one bedroom room overlooking the ocean
the staff are really helpful and friendly and the meals at the 2 restaurants on site were reasonably priced and the meals were delicious.

We stayed 3 nights at Nasama, it’s a beautiful resort with two dining options, easy access to rides into town, both pool and ocean swimming options and lovely staff. We travelled with our 1 year old and the child friendly atmosphere was a pleasure

Best place to stay

The room is decent except for a few issues 1) no shower curtain or door in the shower so water goes everywhere, 2)the doors to the balcony are ‘thin’ therefore; you get a lot of noise (wind and ocean) and 3)there’s a large ‘shade’ to pull down between the bedroom and the rest of the room however; it doesn’t block light or noise. Not sure the purpose of it.
While it is called a resort it really isn’t resort like at all.
Breakfast takes forever and the staff aren’t attentive.
The main office staff don’t really care about customer service. They don’t communicate when there are issues with your room, nor do they care that they don’t securely store credit card info and then get mad if you have a balance.

Overrated , possibly living on past times. Our impression was that the rooms were in need of some talc and deep clean. This is not a Resort. Nice enough , quiet , staff not really interested in their paying guests. Served cold food and Luke warm drinks too many times for it to be a one off experience .Would not return.

Pool is lovely and restaurant has excellent food. Room was clean with great view. Had to take bus to town and shopping but price price was great and buses came around all the time.

Absolutely beautiful hotel, the house girls were fantastic, the chef was amazing and as for the hotel manager, nothing was too much trouble. They really looked after everyone. Amazing staff. Ten out of ten
Only issue was a couple of cyclones. But as I said staff took great care of us. Also met the owner, paul was a cool guy. Very down to earth and genuine caring guy. 100% recommend this place for relaxation and recovery.

It is very hard to provide a feasible review, due to the last couple of years with Covid that has impacted world wide. The resort itself was adequate the lack of dining through the day was disappointing. The room was only serviced when we approached staff and then they still at times did not service the room. The staff were all very friendly - however due to location of the property with the access down about a kilometre of potholes on the road was appaling, although that has nothing do with Nasama.Should we venture back to Vanuatu I would be looking for a different location. The restaraunt was fine the food was good, just their lack of being able to get a drink or food through the day was disappointing, but once again Covid has ravaged all tourist spots throughout the world.

Nasama is an amazing place to stay if you like small friendly family oriented resorts. The staff were friendly, welcoming and always ready to help. Our room was airy and light and kept immaculately clean. We had a balcony to sit and just watch the sway of palm trees and hear the gentle roar of the ocean. Snorkelling right in front of the hotel: nudibranks and fish and little sea snakes (they stayed put around the rocks.). The restaurant Cafe Villa did a mean cup of coffee and their lime juice is beyond delicious. Nice selection of meals to satisfy all palates. Not far into town but far enough out to give a sense of tranquility and inspiration to relax and take in the beauty of Vanuatu and its people. We highly recommend Nasama. Happy memories to take away and already planning a return.

Nasama were just reopening after the covid break and were running on minimal staffing. They did a great job of making us comfortable with minimal fuss. The place is beautiful and simple and doesn’t feel commercially driven. Exactly what I wanted.
The pool and beach are well maintained and the place is clean. It’s easy to get into town on the local bus.
I’d happily return.

Would have preferred a second level unit, but know for next time.
Would highly recommend - staff were amazing

Great location with private beach, close enough to most things. Only one restaurant on site but another one opening soon which will provide more eating options will be a bonus.

Clean and quiet resort with easy access to the city when required. Excellent pool area with nice snorkelling in the ocean near by.

Have just returned from Nasama and loved every minute of it. The rooms were great and the small kitchens allowed flexibility for meals. The staff were fantastic from the maintenance , security, reception and the wonderful staff at Cafe Vila all went out of their way to ensure you were ok. Cafe Vila was great and the food was excellent ! We can’t wait to go back !!

The staffs were great! The room is very good size. Plenty of space and clean. It’s a self contained so you can cook there. Not just a small hotel or resort room.

We had a lovely relaxing holiday at Nasama Resort. Stayed in a two bedroom apartment which is huge and very comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful and the facilities are great.
