Third time we have stayed here. Very convienient, nice breakfast, friendly staff. The let down was Room 12 which has restricted head room which is a particular issue if you wake at night. Was not aware of this when booking though now ive looked at reviews, others have commented on the same issue. Will definately stay again, just not in that room.

This hotel in picturesque Polperro is lovely and very well kept. It was stylish but unfussy and in a great location. The services, such as the honesty bar, made for relaxed atmosphere whilst feeling well thought out. Free hotel Car parking opposite was a real bonus too. What an incredible, beautiful and fascinating village too.

Off peak stay for 5 days. Excellent hotel and service from arrival to departure was first class. Breakfast was varied and cooked extremely well. Room was very clean and bed comfortable. Ideal location for walking and having a private car park opposite the hotel is a real bonus. Only thing to note is there are no lifts so cases need to be carried up to your room. Not a problem for us however. Facilities like wi-fi was good also system for getting a drink in the lounge. Staff were excellent. Well worth a visit.

The hotel was spotless and the breakfast was top nosh. Service was spot on and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The lounge was comfortable and they had an honesty bar which was quite well stocked.

Second visit here, lovely welcoming hotel with a super breakfast and parking right outside which is great for Polperro. Hotel right in the heart of the village , great for the harbour , pubs and eateries . Only downside for us was the room in the attic number 12 , not for us the staff called it the marmite room you either love it or hate it and we were the latter , to much pine a very small toilet next to the bed and dated .

Excellent hotel and looked after very well with staff. Breakfast in the morning was great with lots to choose from. Room12 was warm as in the eaves but fan provided. Overall wonderful stay and will definitely return.

We had the room at the top of the hotel, it was on the second floor, up some pretty steep flights and very narrow so it was quite difficult for us. I think that might be better advertised. The breakfast was excellent, you could have whatever you wanted. The terrace at the front is brilliant. The staff are excellent, nothing was too much trouble. The car park opposite is an absolutely great attribute for this hotel. Lots of pubs and eateries within easy walking distance.

Stayed in Room 11 - the room was Lovely and clean. Would recommend that the curtains be changed to blackout ones as it is very light in the mornings.

This hotel is a must if you are visiting Polperro, they absolutely love dogs which takes the stress out of taking Lottie away with us. Superb breakfast, friendly staff and great position. Will certainly be going back and definitely recommend to anyone. xx

We had a lovely long weekend at the Claremont. We’ve been to Polperro a few times, but never stayed in the village. The hotel was convenient to walk into the village and the breakfast was lovely. Staff very attentive too! Would stay again!

Great family run hotel with friendly welcome, lovely room and very nice communal lounge area. Breakfast excellent. Superb location in middle of village with added bonus of parking right opposite, and easy walk to pubs and restaurants. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would highly recommend.

We went for a one day stay on our way to a wedding in Cornwall. We had the most friendly welcome I have ever had in a hotel. We wished we had longer there as there was still lots to do in the area. Rooms were lovely and clean, bathrooms brand new and location perfect.

Fantastic stay here for 3 nights. Very friendly and welcoming owners and staff. Delicious breakfast and spotless room and bathroom with great in-room amenities. Hotel parking is a real bonus too.
