Very atmospheric cottage on the harbour withe sights and sounds of the sea nearby. Close to everything in the compact, beautiful village of Polperro. The steep narrow stairs between the cottage floors add to the character but wouldn't be suitable for anyone with mobility problems.

We loved Emma’s cottage, very comfortable and right on the harbour. I would definitely recommend it and would love to stay again.

It is right on the harbour front with views over the harbour. Pubs and interesting shops nearby. It is very comfortable with everything you need. The electricity is on a coin slot but the heating is supplied elsewhere so it's not expensive. It was a very memorable stay.

A lovely cottage which was immaculately clean and very comfortable. It had everything we needed for a short break and was in a fantastic location. There were lots of pubs and restaurants to choose from which were literally on our doorstep, as well as lovely cafes for breakfast. The only issue we had was the 15 minute walk down the hill from the car park with kids and luggage/towels in tow (towels aren’t supplied). This was hard work, particularly as we weren’t planning on eating out every night and therefore had bags of shopping to carry as well. The £40 parking charge (paid in £1 coins) was a bit steep for 4 days, as well as having to feed the electricity meter in the cottage with £1 coins. However, we had a really lovely time and I would still highly recommend!

We loved this little property and where it's placed in the harbour, the only thing we would say, and only in our opinion, is that we loved the top room more so thought it should be the double bed room, we still slept up there though! Great place!!!

Despite poor weather we had a great time. Grandparents with two grandkids. We swam off the local beach, visited the Eden Project, surfed at Polzeath, enjoyed the model village, ate lots of pasties and had great food at the Three Pilchards. And managed to see Barbie and a Spiderman film. An enjoyable and packed holiday.

Really good please to stay. Right in the heart of the village and the harbour. I would say it’s better suited to older children 4+ but we still had a brilliant time with a 9mo and a 2yr old.

Excellent location
Had a great time staying at The Waterside cottage Polperro. Fantastic location and views from all windows. Only downside was how busy the location can get with lots of day visitors walking past. Also stairs down to the kitchen quite steep and tight. Had a great stay and would definitely stay again!

"Waterside", Quay Road.
Nice comfortable little cottage by the quayside and near 2 pub restaurants.
The only downside was the electricity meter requiring feeding (cold at the time), and the lack of towels in the bathroom. Could also do with a non-slip shower mat in the bath.
Otherwise a good time had by all.

Delightful Cottage
Very clean property by the harbour. Very handy for all amenities, pubs, restaurants, shops, cliff path walks. Only downside for us were the stairs down into the kitchen. However, we live in a bungalow, so not used to different levels, on three floors. Apart from that we had a wonderful stay.

Home from home
We just love staying in Polperro and at Waterside Cottage. Always a dilemma to which pub to go to 5 steps left or 5 steps right!
Lovely cottage perfect for us. Hope to be back again sooner than 4 years this time!

We cannot thank Emma the owner enough for lending us her beautiful cottage for the week. Emma has been so friendly and helpful right from booking the cottage and helping us with tips during our stay. The cottage is very quaint over 4 floors the kitchen is in the basement and perfectly equipped with everything you could want. It was lovely sitting in the living room with the top half of the door open watching the world go by. The upper floors are the bedrooms and bathroom. The property has lovely views over the harbour. The cottage is perfectly positioned for the beach which is literally about a 30 second walk away. Polperro is absolutely stunning with pubs and restaurants closely located. We can highly recommend House on the Props, The Three Pilchards and Michelle's for fantastic food and service. We had an amazing stay that we will never forget and would highly recommend the property and would like to thank Emma for being the perfect host and for all of her help during our stay. Thank you so much x

When it comes to location, this is hard to beat
Situated right on Polperro's picturesque harbour, close to great pubs, restaurants and the lovely town centre, this cottage offers lovely views and surroundings. It could benefit from a bit of a 'refresh' - carpet, kitchen and bathroom, but it's a period cottage, so one expects quirky, occasionally dated features. In summary, good value, full of character and perfectly located.

Excellent location, lovely village, beautiful cottage.
From begining to end, our break to polperro was fantastic, we loved it as in march there is no one much about and not much open except the pubs.

Small, dark gloomy cottage
Firstly a positive, the twin beds were very comfortable.
Negative, small, dark, narrow stairs and awkward to use. Cottage being situated on a main walkway meant keeping the curtains mainly closed and have people regularly look in when they were open. Cottage smelt damp and musty especially in the kitchen. Bathroom too small and sink barely usable. Did not want to spend much time in the cottage.Arrived Saturday evening, went home Wednesday morning.

Wonderful Seaside Holiday.
Polperro is lovely and the location of the cottage is perfect. The cottage has everything you need, is comfortable and cosy. You can just look out of the window and see the harbour and coming and going of the boats which we never got bored of.
On Wednesday evening myself and son paddled in the sea whilst listening to the Polperro choir, which is a memory I wont forget. Two family friendly pubs 30 seconds from your door which has local beer and cider as well as the freshest fish dishes.
Crabbing, rock pooling and boat trips are right on you doorstep as well as bakers, groceries and ice cream. Dont worry about the lack of parking space as the village car park is huge.
The communication from Emma the owner was brillant. She sent lots of useful information and nade me feel that she was just a phone call away if needed.
Would love to return.

Fabulous cottage in a wonderful waterfront location.
We had a superb holiday. The cottage was very comfy, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. We took local buses to Looe and Polruan and walked back to Polperro on the coastal path. The weather was glorious, scenery magnificent and we even saw a seal in the outer harbour. There are two pubs very close to the cottage which served excellent food and a good range of beers and cider.

Beautiful setting. Cosy characterful house. Great time.
The property could not be more central in Polperro. It is cosy and well equipped. The good quality cotton bedding was pleasing. Everything worked as it should. We had a peaceful few days.

very clean and comfortable
The cottage is very cute, clean and comfortable. It is right next to two good pubs and close to coastal paths. We went at new year and took two throws with us which we were glad of when watching TV as it was a bit chilly downstairs. The bedrooms are lovely and warm. Not a cottage for those with mobility issues as the stairs to the kitchen are tricky. The locals are friendly and we had a fab new years eve in the local pubs. luckily we took fancy dress clothes with us as the whole village was in fancy dress. It was easy to park in the top carpark which cost £40 for the week...note you pay in coins. A lovely local chap took our bags to the car at the end of our stay on his quad bike at a cost of £10. Polperro itself is gorgeous but it is also a good base to explore that side of Cornwall. Had a chilled week to recharge our batteries. Hope to return.

Lovely half term stay
We had a wonderful stay in Waterside Cottage. The cottage was well equipped and just right for myself, my husband and our seven year old. Beds were really comfortable with beautiful bedding! My son loved the games cupboard which kept us entertained for hours. We were blessed with amazing weather and loved Polperro, and the coastal path. The Three Pilchards and Blue Peter both amazing pubs within 30 seconds walk! Emma was the perfect host and easily contactable with any queries. Thank you Emma for the use of your lovely cottage!
