My idea of a hotel stay is somewhere where i can have peace and quiet whilst trying to sleep. You could hear the floor boards ceeaking and alomst felt as of the ceiling was going to fall through. Loud music to put up with also. Creaky old floor boards inloke most others iv seen.

All good, no issues

Good budget hotel that met my needs whilst travelling in the area.

etty shockingly awful experience, even at the low price. I was stuck in a room (room 2 - be warned) that was right beside the check in desk and steps away from the bar. Full loud talking at the front desk until way after midnight, as if there was not someone in a room a couple of feet away, and incredibly noisy bar until later. I was fully unable to sleep the two nights I was there. And to top it off, the morning after my second night, it was deemed appropriate to vacuum the area outside of my room, loudly and with the vacuum knocking repeatedly into my door - at 7:10 am! Nice enough staff, but thoroughly inept. And there should be no rooms where mine was located. The bed was comfortable, but if you’re trying to sleep in the middle of Times Square, the comfortable bed really doesn’t matter. I won’t be back.

Nice hotel and staff
Very enjoyable but limited breakfast options

Pros:
-Food was really good, nice pub food
Cons:
-Old building, could hear everything from the neighbor. Woken up every morning at 3am with them going to the bathroom. Almost felt like they were in my room

An easy to get to prpoerty, basic but clean & comfortable rooms

Staff happy help with taking stuff to room, breakfast was good, room was warm and clean.

Sleep was interrupted. The floors creak so much (same reportedly with friends rooms in other floors)... so much so that someone walking across the floor next door made me think someone else was in the room.
Same with corridor as people walked back from a night out... even if they were quiet the floors were so loud.
Bathroom was quite basic and cheap.
Hotel was nicely situated for the NEC.
Staff were friendly.
Bar area was nice, although we were kicked out from the room when the bar closed, so no communal area you could chat with friends until later.
Nice village.

The room wasn’t cleaned, pubic hair left on the toilet seat and hair left on sink, sweets under the bed, front of staff not very friendly and approachable

First room we were given smelled of smoke, second room had a leaky toilet. All three rooms had cobwebs hanging from the ceiling.
No room upgrade because none were available, free drinks at the bar offered but we were going out for dinner.
Just stay at the premier inn...

1st thing we were told is that they're not going with Expedia anymore as they have issues. Apparently not always told about bookings. Very quiet in restaurant and bar on Saturday night.

The hotel is in a beautiful semi rural setting with plenty of free safe parking.
The rooms although a little dated are comfortable , clean and with good ammenities.
The hotels bar is welcoming and pleasant with friendly staff and good choices of drinks and food. Alex and another young chap ( not sure I got his name) were working the nights I was there. They were very friendly a great front for the hotel.
My criticisms would be the walls are incredibly thin and I could hear talking and coughing from next door and in my last night someone was snoring so loud I was unable to sleep.
Although I found most of the staff friendly and welcoming the lady and gentlemen who I encountered at reception on checkout did not leave a good lasting impression on me. Hardly gave me the time of day. Gentlemen never even looked at me. Was a shame after a great stay.

The booking was cancelled about a week before I was due to stay so went to a Travelodge instead ... which by the way was excellent!!

Fantastically friendly staff, good food, needed some more vegetarian selections, and the rooms were a little dated. Overall checked every box and at affordable prices.

I have stayed here before and it has always been better than this time. The room was ok, but the bathroom was not. There was an old tampon left in the bin and it stank of urine.

Great value for money, in a nice location. Could do with a bit of modernising in the corridors and bedrooms to match the bar area and the breakfast buffet was a little cold and disappointing, but you get what you pay for and a hot shower and a quiet room was what I needed.

The room i had was very cold and everything was very dusty. There was a heater in the room that was barely hanging off the wall and looked extremely rusted. Just wasnt a very nice room to stay in.

Nice top floor room. Very clean as was the bathroom. Nice view out across fields. Plenty of tea and coffee. Only thing to spoit it was the thin wall and creaky floor.

We liked the original windows and despite this and windows left open for ventilation it was warm
The glass shelf in the bathroom and the hooks on the bathroom door needed fixing

I booked a suite ( room 37) at the front of the hotel. The bathroom is absolutely appalling, damp, dirty, full of lime scale and with silver fish. The mattress was uncomfortable, the decor was beyond bad, so much so I slept fully clothed. I booked for 2 nights ) and at 9am on the morning after my first night I left. Appalling place!

We stayed in room 41
It must have been over the kitchen i was woken with banging and crashing every hour through the night i was totally shattered in the morning
Its a shame because i stayed before over the other side of the building and all was good hence why i returned but unfortunately would put me off now in case i got the same noisy room again

Check in was an absolute nightmare. Rooms booked that I hadn't. Told that it was expedias responsibility not the hotels. Breakfast was ok but not quite to menu provided. Staff fairly helpful.

The cleanliness was terrible. There was someone's used underwear left behind the door in my bathroom which I only found in the morning and made me feel sick!
I notified the person behind the counter and he assured me that the Manager would call me ASAP as I was so disgusted I left without taking breakfast which I had paid for at booking. The Manager eventually called and apologised but did not have authority to refund any of my costs. I telephoned and spoke to him again today (3 days later) and he still did not have authority but assured me of a call back to which I still don't have at 18.15.

Service from staff was poor.
Location is convenient for Birmingham airport.

No sleep walls like paper , floor boards creak so much you get no sleep at all , customer upstairs was backwards and forwards all night at one point some paint fell from ceiling , I could hear room next door having a shower , don’t come if you need to sleep , uncomfy bed , windows wouldn’t lock and could be pushed open , and the signs threatening £50 if you take food to your room is ridiculous especially when the food downstairs comes out cold

Good value for money

Hotel was fine but i was disgusted at the potential to be fined for bringing any outside food or alcohol into my room.. Having paid a sizeable amount to stay at the hotel, I have never seen anything like it and it really left a sour taste. I would never go back and wouldn’t recommend anyone else to stay if that is how you’ll be treated. I was actually going to dine in the on-site restaurant but made a point of going out elsewhere for my meals so I didn’t have to give the place any more of my money.

This hotel/pub is budget budget budget. I was just traveling through the area and needed a place to stay. It was the cheapest I could find on Hotels.com and you can really tell.
I will not be staying there again.

Would have been perfect except for the creaky floors. Really spolts a nice place to stay. I was on the top floor but even then you could hear people walking around.
