Best hotel. The customer Service was outstanding. Very comfortable bed, nice , big room. Nice view .

Pleasant stay with great staff. Best property great ambience and humble staff

Altogether a disappointment. This hotel is seriously overrated. There are much better hotels in Mumbai, with better rooms and nicer and more kind staff. Location is not ideal if you visit for business. Breakfast selection is poor compared with other hotels. Save your money and find another place to stay.

I want to thank all of the employees at this hotel for making this stay for me and my mom a wonderful experience. This is a beautiful hotel with a beautiful location. When we arrived, I was incredibly sick at the airport and the driver, Steven, made sure that I was well taken care of. He called the hotel to let them know I was sick and for them to send a doctor to the room. The doctor checked me and my mom. She is an excellent doctor and she has an office in that hotel so in terms of health, you’re very well taken care of at this hotel. Our only issue was that there is very loud music playing daily at the breakfast area which is where our room was located. We spoke to a manager named Obsheka (I hope I spelled that right). She changed our room and I hope she gets a raise because she was just so kind and warm and welcoming and made me feel like she was my sister. My mom and I think she’s the best. I really want to thank her for giving us a great experience at this hotel and we hope to see her again on our next trip there.

A big disappointment altogether especially in light of the overrated reputation. Compared with my last stay there 20 years ago, it looks like this establishment lost its glory. Rooms are far lower than other five stars hotels in Mumbai. But the worst is an unbelievable rude approach of the duty manager who accused me falsly on tracking the room door loudly given a complaint they received from a guest in the upper floor... I wonder what kind of support elite technology got them to point this to me. Such a miserably stupid way to treat guests.

Maybe 20 years ago? Rooms are super outdated with paint peeling and scuff marks everywhere. Room amenities lacking as they use a very cheap Taj branded product that is subpar. Please for a “5” star hotel use a name brand like Acqua di Parma, Hermes, Molton Brown … can’t get away with cheap alternatives. Common areas looked great and are well maintained however, they forgot to carry that same standard to the rooms. Seemed they were understaffed. Restaurant breakfast buffet is okay but again, not what one would expect. I stayed at the Leela Hotels prior to Taj and hands down 3x better. Visited a colleague at the Four Seasons … seemed I picked the tourist hotel! Oh ….. hallways don’t have AC and on the 6th floor, super hot. Causes fluctuations in moisture between hall and room so there is a distinct smell of mold or musty. Water also runs down the entrance doors to the rooms. Be careful walking down the halls as you can slip.

Iconic hotel. Amazing property. Rooms were fabulous as well as facilities. Staff were very friendly. Views were amazing. Easy access to neraby monuments. Children loved the pool. Food options were excellent. Overall a great experience. Looking forward to next time.

Amazing historical property, very well maintained. Unrivaled hospitality

We enjoyed our stay
The restaurant staff were very good
Our car driver was simply excellent

The carpet was soaking wet and uncomfortable near the window due to rains. The heritage taj palace building needs some water proofing done to prevent further damage to the room flooring.
4.7
noise travels through this beautiful but old structure. overcrowded by events and little care for noise particularly during the night. Loud voices of employees and movings furniture between 3 am and 5am, calling twice guest service with no impact. The location is amazing but the experience ends up worse than a cheap hotel. profits over customer experience.
4.7
I liked the history and art of the building. The quality of the room and the service at meals and with housekeeping was top notch

There are many luxury hotels to choose from in Mumbai but the Taj Palace Hotel is not only exquisite but also a historic landmark. My stay s in Mumbai always include a night or two at the Taj. Its not to be missed as much as any other landmark in the city.
4.7
The taj palace in Mumbai, in my mind the finest hotel in the world. I have stayed in lots of 5 star hotels around the world. This is the best. The iconic sea view rooms are spectacular.
4.7
A great experience. Do NOT miss out on the free walking tour within the hotel that share the shared history of Mumbai, Tata and the Taj.

The service at this hotel is the best I have ever seen. The entire staff made our stay very memorable

Amazing

Amazing on all fronts EXCEPT the loud outdoors music near the pool with that boumboum theme so inappropriate to the beauty of the place
We wanted to hear soft Indian music instead we get clubby type hammering noise…,🤔😱🤔

Taj Palace has never failed to wow me. My stay this week for three nights were perfect. The hotel invokes nostalgia, and never fails to deliver on its famed hospitality. From reception (thanks Apeksha), to food, room service staff and responsiveness, tasteful, and graceful rooms, and beautiful facilities across the whole property. The whole structure is a monument to a sophisticated but graceful hospitality culture and the essence of an ancient as well as modern India.
I would love to come back for longer stays and will recommend to my friends and colleagues.

Exceeded expectations on every level! Absolutely stunning!

Staying at the Taj is a great experience and I would definitely recommend it. The staff and facilities are incredible. There were a few things though that made the stay less than perfect. The bed was a little too hard for my liking and the dining options were a little too formal. It would have been nice to have a little coffee shop or other place for more informal quick meals or coffee. The 24 hour restaurant was OK for this but was still a little too stuffy and not super convenient for grabbing something to go and it was also quite expensive (~$9 USD for a tiny masala chai to go). I also got a little sick after eating the buffet one evening which made my last couple of days in India less enjoyable. The service and staff at the hotel are incredible though and despite these little things I really enjoyed my stay here.

The Taj Palace is a monument of history in Mumbai and is worth the visit, the palace is magnificent with lush interior, friendly staff, and welcoming atmosphere. Its the hub of celebs if thats what you are after.
Our stay did not live up to our expectation with delayed check in, nuts in the room despite requesting none due to my daughters allergies, no bed initially was provided for her on the first night. On the positive our room was upgraded to a suite, my husband met most of the cricketers playing in the IPL, the staff in the Taj Club and the Wasabi restaurant were fantastic!
We would stay again but as we came from the Oberoi our experience there was significantly better.

Wonderful Hotel, hospitality and stay. Would highly recommend!

The food was delicious and flavorful. The staff polite and attentive. The architecture and history of the hotel made our stay amazing.

Wow…..an amazing hotel, with a phenomenal location. Take an early breakfast in the Sea Lounge to view the sunrise. Be there 7am because the few tables are first to be taken.
The staff are very attentive to your needs throughout the hotel. There is a tour around the hotel to advise regarding the history.
The friendly staff waiting on the rooms are amazing, and attentive to your needs.

A fabulous hotel in a perfect location. What an amazing place. It’s not just a hotel, it’s a jewel. You feel special staying at this hotel. If you can afford this hotel stay here, I didn’t want to leave. Breakfast was very good, service impeccable, the pool area is just amazing. It has the wow effect.
