Adequate, location great.
Nothing really, other than the weather.

The property is set on a beautiful part of Suffolk and it is perfect for a weekend break for a small family. Lovely setting, lovely lodge and friendly owner. Waking up to that country view, was just perfect for us. :)
The central heating and hot water provisions could do with a little improvement. Once you figure out the heating programmer, then it is fine.

They have thought of everything to make your stay special! The cherry on the top is its dog friendly.

Beautiful setting, extensive grounds that you can enjoy. It is quiet and relaxing from the moment you arrive. The property is comfortable and well furnished with nicely coordinated colours. Everything is done to a high standard. The owners were friendly and helpful. Situated well to visit plenty of lovely places in the area.
Bath towels a little small but that’s just being picky!

Location wonderful. Bruce is very friendly & knowledgeable of the area. Our little dog, Betsy, was made very welcome & loved playing in the garden.

Lovely little cottage in a beautiful location. Owners were very accommodating and made up the bed downstairs in case our little one wanted to be down there. As she was too young, she did sleep upstairs next to us, so they offered to put the bed back away. As we were only staying a couple of nights and at a wedding for the majority of our time, we declined for them to do this. The accommodation had everything we needed and the bed was very comfy. The grounds were also beautiful that our cottage overlooked, even saw a deer on the first evening. Would highly recommend this place to stay.
The only thing I'd say is we didn't get any check in instructions, but when I rang on the day of arrival they were very prompt at answering and advising how to get in the cottage. Not really a negative but something to consider.

Lovely peaceful location. Nicely furnished. Thoughtful touches in the kitchen like breakfast rolls and milk in the fridge.
The bed was too hard for me, but I'm sure it would be fine for others.

This place was perfect for us the kids slept and played upstairs and loved having their own space. Both mattresses were very comfortable, shower warm, everything was just great and we will definitely be back when we visit family again

What a lovely place to stay. Sadly we were only there for 2 nights and couldn't enjoy the property to the full as we were involved in a wedding close by but the grounds looked beautiful through the rainy window, the lodge was comfortable (the breakfast options were such a lovely, surprise touch) - we hope to return and actually make use of the beautiful property. Thank you Bruce!

It was easy to find and the property is well-maintained. There was a cart lodge for our car to park under which was really nice given the sub zero conditions. The place is nicely decorated and clean, with some lovely historical features - it feels a bit quirky. The upstairs bedroom was warm. There is a good view of the garden from the sitting room (second bedroom). The kitchen is well-quipped, though we didn't need to cook much. I imagine it would be lovely to stay in warmer weather.
It felt cold.... The kitchen has no heating and the fridge felt warm in comparison. (It was sub zero outside). The sitting room/ second bedroom has night storage heaters and an electric fire, but it still felt a bit cool when we arrived. Single glazing probably doesn't make it easy to keep the heat in and I expect we may have been the first to stay for a while so the chill had set in. We couldn't sleep until the electric heater had turned itself off, as it was really noisy. The bathrooms have panel heaters or similar, but these were ineffective and my face oil went solid overnight. I got chilled and am now poorly. A real fire downstairs could really boost the warmth and feeling of cosiness.

Would have been nice to be able to control the heating myself. I don't like the cold but understand we are in COL crisis.
