Amazing location
I didn’t see anywhere that no parking was available at the property, I was told when I collected the keys from the pub.

The value of this property cannot be matched it was a lovely find and I’m so glad that we stayed here.
The property is well decorated and feels quite luxurious with lovely bedding and towels it also has all the essentials that you would need in the kitchen etc.
I feel that this could have been even better by informing that the sofa bed is only a single I was informed that this property could sleep 6 people, however one family member slept on an air bed that we luckily took with us.
The property doesn’t have Wi-Fi or Netflix and for a family staying it would have been good to have this, also for researching abilities once at the house as we couldn’t look up online what was near us without using all our data.

don’t get fooled by the photos
it was an absolute nightmare to find
had to find the pub that was holding the key of the place and it wasn’t specified
we had to walk for an hour trying to find the property which it was in a little alley behind a restaurant walking in their rubbish to get inside this place
I asked the owner for the directions no reply, I asked for the Wi-Fi password no reply, fridge wasn’t working the toilet and bathroom not great at all
an absolute rip off and nightmare this place
for £160 a night we was expecting a lot more

2.The shower was extremely poor.
3. Bathroom taps not appropriate to a hotel.

perfect location and very welcoming staff
the bathrooms and kitchen were very dark. this was because of very low watt bulbs which could easily be rectified. no mirror in twin room apart from small bathroom mirror.

No table or chairs in kitchen/dining room.toilets could have been cleaner. Hair blocking downstairs washbasin.

We had a 4 night stay in the 2 bedroomed self-catering apartment. It is located in the centre of Wells so a great place for exploring the city and the surrounding area,
Everything was fine.

Very well equipped and comfortable. Nice to have our own space.
There was nowhere to eat inside our mews. Could not use outside table as it was pouring with rain, so had to eat inside on our laps. To provide full self catering facilities with nowhere to comfortably eat inside is not acceptable. Put the TV on the wall and there would be room left for a small table and two chairs.

Very convenient location in the centre of Wells, only minutes from the cathedral and Bishop's Palace, as well as several good restaurants and cafes. We liked having our separate mini-house detached from the main hotel - it gave us more room than a standard bedroom and meant we didn't have to worry about masks, distancing etc. so much of the time. We enjoyed drinks in the hotel bar some evenings and ate dinner in the restaurant once. It was good value, the food was tasty and the waiting staff were friendly. We also loved meeting Snowball, the hotel cat!
There aren't enough parking places for all residents, even though the info on booking.com says 'free parking'. So we felt pressured to get back from our sightseeing each day before the check-in time for new guests of 16.00, especially over the weekend when it was always very full. And we chose not to have breakfast at the hotel which at £15 (pre-booked rate) seemed very expensive, but there are several coffee shops within a short walk.

The mews cottage was really super. Great central location, quiet even with the windows open. Comfy bed. Friendly cat strolling around outside. The hotel reception's covid security was good, yet unobtrusive. The hotel's drinks garden in front of the cathedral is a beautiful spot.
The drive through to the car park is awkward, especially if you meet an oncoming vehicle. And with the hotel being full, there weren't enough parking spaces on 2 evenings and we had to park at Waitrose (this wasn't a huge problem for us, but flagging it up for anyone with mobility issues)
