Nothing, it was just great.

A lovely historic building. Comfortable rooms. Fabulous bath with loads of hot water.
Our bathroom didn’t have privacy glass and was on the ground floor.

Excellent breakfast
Lovely friendly and very helpful owner.

The property is a rare find only 2 miles out of Wells and on the edge of a small village with a few great pubs and farms all around. The working flour mill grinds spelt and whole wheat flour as its done for centuries, that goes into delicious breads served with breakfast.

We stayed for 3 nights with friends for a relaxing break. Everything was perfect, from the comfort of the rooms to the delicious breakfasts, and the welcoming hosts.
Nothing to dislike.

The Host was really nice and helpful and her husband showed us the mill working which was great. The breakfast was one of the best we’ve had in a long time. can recommend the place and would definitely stay again when in the area

We really enjoyed our stay at Burcott Mill. The room was large, warm and comfortable with a very spacious wet room. Everything was spotlessly clean and thoughtful right down to the tea and coffee making facilities being refreshed daily. Steve was an amazing host, cooking the most delicious breakfast and checking regularly if there was anything else that we wanted.
Burcott Mill is situated just a few miles outside Wells with easy access to other towns and very close to the famous Wookey Hole. There are a couple of pubs within walking distance that serve food.
There wasn't anything we didn't like.

charming with history and surrounding beauty, albeit the weather was dull as expected in February

We were met with a lovely welcome by the friendly host. The suite we had was very cosy, warm & comfortable. Breakfasts were fab as was the location both to get into Wells & surrounding area.
Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts to do for you.

Wonderful breakfast, scrambled egg and salmon was delicious and porridge was a big family hit to.
Spacious family room, clean and nice beds.
Shame the mill was closed at the time and the playground needs a bit of love. They are fab facilities and were an attraction when we decided where to stay
4.7
The very warm welcome and quiet relaxed atmosphere of the accommodation and surroundings. There was ample choice of food on the breakfast menu which was served in a very pleasant dining room operated in fully 'covid' prevention mode.
Cannot think of anything

Lovely welcoming staff, great choice for breakfast which was always piping hot and well presented. The home made bread was devine even brought some to take home to give the neighbours. Plenty of free parking, room was plenty big enough with all you needed. Beds lovely and comfy and quite, slept so well, shower lovely and hot. Two pubs within walking distance, one across the road and another which has more choice of meals about 7min walk into the village. Great base to visit Wooky hole, Wells, Shepton Mallet and other places.
Could maybe have a little background music on in the conservatory breakfast room. Nothing to do with the guesthouse but the road outside is difficult to see what is coming from the right hand side so a mirror on the other side of the road would be good to give a view up the road.
