Pleasant, restful and no children

Breakfast was good, parking mostly full, but manageable. Outside drinking areas full with locals not residents

difficult because of shower over bath !!

lovely old hotel the shower was over the bath and I have mobility problems which I informed the hotel about i could not get in the bath so couldn’t have a shower ?? what happens when you have customers with mobility problems??

Very nice location but way overpriced for the standard of the room we stayed in. The breakfast staff were very helpful and food was lovely.

The room was far too overpriced, when we returned to the hotel in the evening a member of staff ran out and said he was worried "we were robbing the place "which is rude. The manager also tried to charge me for the room again when checking out when I'd already paid prior to arrival. I also heard him on the phone apologising to a customer for charging them twice.

Exceptional staff service.We were staying for a wedding being held in the hotel. Everything went super smoothly, and the attentive staff wee wonderful.

Poor value for money and lousy customer service experience.

Hotel was nice and breakfast too. The rest was a shambles.

Firstly, checked into wrong room and needed to move. Second, told breakfast cut off was 9:30am, but when going down to breakfast at 9:10 we were told we were too late for breakfast but they’d still serve us. Odd and frustrating given the cost and the fact the leisure facilities were out of order (key selling point of hotel). Thirdly, after checking out and just finished loading the car, a member of staff rushed across the car park and I was asked if I’d paid. I mentioned Booking.com took payment a few days ago and he said ok. A bit embarrassing and unprofessional. Not many things they had to get right really and overall pretty disappointing experience and as a result poor value for money. Unlikely to use Booking.com again or revisit the hotel. Shambles for the money paid £260 for 1 night.

it’s probably the best in the neighbourhood and it is a pleasant enough stay.

rooms are dated. they need a transformation. food menu is much too limited and too grand. some simple food choices would be appreciated

Beautiful decor in rooms, fresh modern look throughout, room service after 9 would be a help.

Didn’t have breakfaat

We were in an eaves room which unfortunately did cause a few head bumps. The phone didnt work and the lights were very complicated to operate. There was no room service available after 9pm. However I passed this on to the duty manager who was lovely and very receptive. Also there is an M&S five minutes away for snacks. Staff really friendly and the whole place is exceptionally clean.

Are stay in Yeovil was made even better by staying a Lanes Hotel . we pick the hotel as we have the same sir name . And

Beautiful hotel, lovely staff and excellent food.

My wife and I attended a friend's wedding at the hotel. The hotel staff made the happy couple's day extra special. The grounds where the wedding took place was beautiful and the food was excellent. Our apartment was spacious and luxurious. I am planning to hold a special birthday party there in the autumn.

I couldn't fault a thing.

Reception for checking in and out was a little strange - just a desk in the corner of the bay window. the waiting staff mixed up the breakfast order 4 times - very disorganised. we felt that the stay was overpriced.

An utterly relaxing oasis

This is a marvellous hotel: comfortable bedrooms and lounges, elegant, well thought-out, plenty of life in the evening and calm during the day; it's very well managed and the staff are efficient but unrushed.

The dining room is large; it could be a little warmer in the morning.... Unfortunately, the spa was not in operation due to .....

Perfection

Staff were excellent went over and above loved having the bottled water and Diet Pepsi in the room . Food was delicious and of excellent quality with great choice . Loved the fire in reception area. Really made us feel welcomed especially Tilly our little pug

Comfort, stylish and relaxing.

The food was delicious, interesting recipes and very well presented. The rooms were spacious, very clean and comfortable. There was a pleasant sitting area so you could have after dinner drinks in comfort. The staff were very welcoming, helpful and prompt with service

Slightly disappointed having booked two room they were near each other. This was offered on arrival but we didn’t want to make things awkward and it didn’t cause a problem. Just felt a bit odd.

romantic Stay

I booked a night away with my girlfriend and really liked the look of lanes hotel. The hotel was superb. The staff were excellent.

The room was lovely but just needed some final touches. Unfortunately the room had a lot of ladybugs behind one of the blinds.

Exceptional

We had a fabulous weekend with friends to celebrate a 50th birthday. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly snd made us feel very welcome. The hotel is lovely and clean. Modern decor inside and the bedrooms were well equipped and very comfortable. Would recommend this hotel.

Wedding stay

The location in relation to our wedding venue was amazing! The staff were lovely, really friendly and nice. We ate in the restaurant one night too and the food was amazing!! Beautiful grounds and our room was LUSH!

On the first night we stayed there, a drunk guest (not the hotel’s fault) kept trying to get into our room (at least five times) and unfortunately there was no one to contact to get him removed or help him locate the correct room. We had our 10 year old daughter in our room and she was very distressed to say the least. Also it was the night before my wedding day so a bit annoying to be woken up at 2am!!! Thankfully my makeup artist worker her magic! The only other thing, which is more of a suggestion, we stayed in the penthouse suite and it was beautiful, however, because it is in the roof space, the ceilings and windows were quite low and there was no hook or rail to hang my wedding dress on. There was a wardrobe, but my train was quite long. I imagine other bridal parties book this room so a hook or something, would be really useful.

Great stay

Lovely little hotel, perfect for a night away celebrating our friends wedding. The whole place was really clean, staff were friendly and the room was lovely too. Good breakfast options, good bar prices, plenty of space to sit and enjoy a drink.
