A comfortable house in the city where I grew up and love

This is our second time at the property we come down to visit relatives who live close by so the location is more than perfect for us. The property is nice and clean and the decor is warm and inviting, it was nice to come back after a long day out and get cosy. What was also nice is the heating was switched on prior to our arrival which was a nice touch considering it was freezing outside. The beds were comfortable, two of them are en-suite, it is great to be able to fall out of bed into the shower. The house is nestled on the corner in a quiet road, we didn't hear any noise and we have never encountered any trouble or anti-social behaviour, before I moved away I used to live around the corner and it has always been a peaceful place. A few minutes down the road you will find Mutley Plain which is occupied by several shops including Tesco Express, Sainsbury and a CO-OP, there are also a couple of nice pubs there where we met with our family for food. Parking is ideal there is private parking for two big vehicles I'd say, we came down in a people carrier and there was more than enough room for another large sized vehicle for sure. Great stay, see you again in the summer.

Big enough for our family but disappointing overall.

It was big enough for our family of five adults. There was free parking.

The location was a bit bleak. Not in a particularly nice area of the city. There were lots of maintenance issues. Missing items (ie, duvet cover, some items of crockery/cutlery) and broken window blinds/shower curtain - plus one of the bedrooms had no bedside tables or bedside lights.

Lovely Stay

It was a great location, you’re very close to the town Center which is perfect! The parking was easy and convenient so it was very accessible, and with getting the keys it was very simple and straightforward. Supplying basics, coffee, milk and cereal etc was a great little touch! In regards to the property itself, it was spacious and decorated to a high standard. And also very clean and tidy with comfortable beds so I had a great good night sleep! There was enough crockery and utensils, and Tesco’s is only down the road which is ideal. Overall I really loved my stay and would definitely recommend! 😊

Fab

Great location, nice and central. Plenty of space and each room was nicely set up. There is plenty of storage and adequate extra bedding. Would recommend to groups. Parking out front was great with permits provided for us. Milk and tea provided and a few boxes of cereal, which was nice. Big dishwasher and tabs supplied, which made meals a lot easier to clean up after. Iron and ironing board came in handy. Decent amount of towels and crockery/glass wear, would stay here again.

One of the blinds in the bedroom was only secured with velcro, and so it kept falling down in the night. In the end, we gave up putting it back up. Coffee machine and cafetiere supplied. However, no coffee pods or coffee, tesco a 5-minute walk away, though. Beds were quite hard, but some people like that, so not a complaint, just to inform others.

Missing some essentials, needs a stocktake of what is required in home away from home. cold, for overseas people who don't use boilers and heating as such there was not enough instructions how to heat the home. The key lock box difficult to use. The bathrooms are tiny. Downstairs bathroom freezing cold.

very comfortable stay for our family!

beautifully renovated house in a very convenient location, parking permit is a huge plus and we loved the nice touches like fresh milk in the fridge, as well as basics like coffee, tea and cereals. hugely appreciated. very helpful to have toiletries in the bathrooms as well. the location is super quiet as well and we enjoyed some really good night sleep! the dishwasher was a huge bonus too!

heating in the bathrooms would have been nice, the downstairs loo especially was freezing at this time of year! some smaller touches like reading lights in the third bedroom as well as mirror lights in the bathrooms would have made it truly perfect. oh, and it would have been handy to have a hair dryer somewhere. but I am nit picking here, just offering a couple of helpful suggestions that would truly make this property a 10/10

A very enjoyable stay in a wonderful house in a nice location.

The provision of basic supplies,tea,coffee,milk,biscuits & cereals was a nice touch even though we did bring our own.

Very happy to stay again.

It was perfect for our requirements, clean, spacious and good location to local amenities. One of our party left a jacket and host kindly offered to post it to us.

The Wi-Fi code was different to the written instructions.

lovely family home, would stay again.

Clean & Comfy beds, in a quiet neighborhood- just away from busy mutley but also close to the central town and mall. The Supermarket is just a 2minute walk away and there is also free parking!
