Loved this hotel! Very friendly staff, great restaurant and great views of the water. Granville island is fantastic and using the water taxis was a great way to get around. We will be staying here again when we return to this great city!

This hotel recently was refurbished and it's a complete WOW now.
From first interaction with the desk clerk, housekeeping, waitstaff in the restaurant, to check out we felt well taken care of - in a spectacular location with wonderful rooms.
We actually stayed in this hotel 2X on this trip.
First time we splurged on a suite with a view straight down False Creek: so very worth it! The views never ceased to impress.
Second time we took a more standard room and while the views weren't as spectacular, the beds, bedding, roominess, furnishings were all excellent.
We only did Happy Hour at the restaurant this time, but we've done brunch in years past. Tasty, again - beautiful views of False Creek, super staff.
Staying here feels like you're in a resort but with beautiful water/city views.
Gorgeous walks around Granville Island & going either direction from GI (which is NOT an Island, just an area jutting out!)
But if you're in downtown? Hop a Water Taxi for jsut a few bux and it zips you right over False Creek. (Tip: If you're staying a few days and there's two of you: buy a book of 10 rides to give you 5 passages!)

This is my second visit to the Grandville Island Hotel. The first was pre-COVID back in 2019. It was so wonderful to see that everything was the same. The accommodations are well appointed with beautiful views from just about any room. Service continues to be on-point with excellence. Parking is a bit tricky AT the hotel specifically but there is ample "public parking" all around with pricing comparable (or sometimes cheaper) that the daily hotel rate. The property is "pet friendly" so we traveled with our dog. It was wonderfully surprising to find a cute little park area right next door to hotel. It's a big hill with several walking paths, lots of grassy areas, and connects to the walkway along the docks. So walking your dog regularly is not only convenient but relaxing and scenic. The hotel is the perfect place to stay for a weekend getaway with so many things - shops, artist stalls, markets, restaurants, breweries - all within walking distance. Your also just a short drive to downtown Vancouver. We're looking forward to returning to Grandville Island and this lovely hotel.

We’ve stayed here a few times and it’s always enjoyable nice size hotel walking distance to shows and restaurants in Granville Island. Always end our stay with a wonderful breakfast at the restaurant. Will return for sure.

It was a rainy day in Vancouver and our stop was brief as it was mid-travel, but the sleep was exceptional as was the staff. Beautiful hotel with excellent rooms and cleanliness. We would absolutely stay here again. We loved it.

Nice room, compact, but with sufficient counter and drawer space for weekend stay.

From our first interaction with reception: the lovely Liz who asked about our preferences & went out of her way to accommodate, to the comfortable and stylish rooms, Happy Hour options - in every way the Granville Island Hotel exceeded our expectations.
We chose the hotel for its location and it is exceptional: False Creek views, lovely walks around Granville Island, west to Vanier Park or east to Olympic Village are a huge plus of staying here.
There are lots of eateries right here, but we loved Dockside at the hotel.
Every member of staff, from front desk to housekeeping to restaurant wait staff at Dockside were welcoming, and made our stay in ven better.
Have stayed in many hotels around Vancouver: The Granville Island Hotel is a standout.
Absolutely would stay here again.

Wonderful and helpful staff made for a good stay. The area around the hotel is a wonderful market and lots of interesting shops. Property condition - our room looked ready for a refurb, the sofa was dirty and furniture old, but it was comfortable and spacious, with good bedding. We upgraded to the executive suite.

Not my first visit but has been about 13 years. Only lodging on Granville Island. Took the wife for a one nighter so experienced all the shops and Market walking to and from our Hotel. Staff at registration were very accommodating since we arrived about 10:30 AM. Parked the car with them and went exploring on foot. Received text around noon from our hotel that the room was ready but we were not. Late afternoon checked in and freshened up and walked back out for dinner. Private party that night at hotel had patio and restaurant booked but was notified about 15 days prior by hotel staff that this was happening. Various different dining options on the Island so no big deal. Had breakfast at hotel restaurant the next morning eggs Benedict which was excellent, nice side salad and some tasty seasoned fried potatoes which I ate a few :). Walked back to the market and purchased perishables since we were leaving and only about 1.5 hr drive home depending on wait at border.
Service was great. Standard room checked all the boxes. Nice location on the river.
