We have enjoyed staying at this hotel several times but this time was disappointing. We had reserved a handicapped accessible room but did not get it. My husband had to sponge bathe at the sink. Once we got to bed, I realized that my pillows had such a musty, moldy odor I could not sleep on them. Clean pillows were delivered within 30 minutes but this should never have happened. It appears that the hotel is undergoing some renovations. Perhaps this is causing problems for them. I hope things will improve.

It is close to the Mayo Clinic. There is work being done on the hotel, so it was noisy during the day, but it stopped mid-afternoon. Need some sort of sign on the A/C that it is controlled at the thermostat across the room and not at the unit in the window. Traffic is bad in the afternoon, but that is not Holiday Inn's fault!

This is and older hotel that’s in the process of being redone, which is understandable . However our room felt humid and smelled of bleach when we arrived and the bathroom smelled like bleach as well but also like another no so good smell.
Staff was polite and helpful , no problem. We only had to stay one night for an appointment at the Mayo Clinic so I took comfort in knowing we wouldn’t be there long. Great location as well. Over night we lost power , maybe due to rain and storm but luckily the power outage didn’t last long.

The Air conditioning dripped onto the floor, which was growing mold in the carpet, which made the room horrible
4.1
It is the best place we found when visiting the Mayo Clinic

Only got this room at this location for the jetted tub, the person at the desk akniwledged that the only difference in my room and the others was the tub and why it was more expensive. Then tells me all of the rooms with jetted tubs are out of order and she had to change my room. Should have been cheaper and u should have been contacted since they knew the difference was the tub only. I sent a message through their site about this and still haven't heard back from anyone to at least apologize. It was midnight when we got there so wasn't like I could do anything about it.

No TV reception. Panel under the night table fell off the wall landing on my foot. Light base on desk was not attached. Have stayed here many times. Checkin was fine but all went downhill from there.

Me an my daughter arrived late at night and were given a room, which had the door open and all the drawers were out of dresser and night stands and cushions were turned up on the couch. We told the night attendant that we were not comfortable going into such room. He gave us another room on the same floor. When we entered, the entry way smelled strongly like smoke from some fire (not cigarette smoke) and the AC was blasting and could not be adjusted or turned off. I reported the issues to front desk in the AM. They did nothing and when we returned we had to ask for another room again. That room had a plastic bag over smoke detector and black mold in the shower. It however had comfortable beds and we spent the 2 remaining nights there. They also had a big leak and shut off the water in the middle of my daughter's shower, but that can be understood. Assigning rooms with drawers out and ignoring reports of smoke and broken AC can not. This should be called "Freezing in FL" as our first night the room was at 60 degrees full blast AC. I would not stay there again.

It was just remodeled very nice!

Doing construction on propery, bathroom had water damage, tub was damaged. Sheets were old. Checkout time was 11, but they stared knocking on my door to leave at 930

All staff are very friendly and kind, and there are grocery stores and food shops. Also, shuttle bus to Mayo Clinic is very convenient and excellent.
4.1
Was in town for several days of appointments at Mayo. The free shuttle was very reliable and responsive—major selling point. There was a Publix, Tropical Smoothie, and Marcos Pizza in the same strip. The room was extremely spacious. Only downsides: no freezer section in frig, smoking area right outside entrance so smoke permeated the entire lobby, and a wasp in the room.

The staff were helpful and courteous and provided everything thing I needed for a convenient and comfortable stay during an otherwise difficult stay in Jacksonville. I had the best night's sleep ever at your hotel. Many thanks!

Great location , close to shopping.

Very comfortable, great amenities, and awesome breakfast! Nice area with plenty of places to shop and eat around, and easy to navigate to from the highway.

My stay was average. Mildew on shower ceiling room 307 and loud ongoing noise coming from bathroom that needed having the door closed at all times. More important though was a safety issue i reported to the front desk at 10:45p on 7/23. I was uncomfortable when returning to the hotel alone at 9:45p. Upon walking to my room on the third floor, a man appeared out of nowhere and was behind me despite me checking the hallway after getting off the elevator. I was able to quickly enter my room and lock door. Felt uncomfortable all night and placed a chair to block door if someone tried to enter. I mentioned concern early today at the desk and the girl knew nothing about it. I informed her of the details and she said she would inform the manager and that the manager would check the videotape from last night. He might have been a guest but it really was scary.

Room was not clean. Shower was disgusting and the shower head barely dribbled water out. I took pictures if needed.

Breakfast was not good. Bed was ok but not good. Service was good.

We rented room 524 specifically for jetted tub, while we loved how huge it was, but only 2 jets of 6 worked. Breakfast was wonderful selection! Other than tub it all was wonderful including staff

There was a mix up on the reservation and the hotel could not find the 2nd room reservation and did not attempt to look for it. When pressed and provided reservation numbers, the fist name was entered as the last name and the hotel could not find reservation.

Great customer service

There was some type of bugs in the room and both adults left with bites. When we brought it to staff attention they acted as if they couldn’t care less.
4.1
This hotel was located close to the Mayo Clinic with eateries and grocery store within walking distance.

The toilet was completely stopped up and staff was very rude

Convenient to Mayo Clinic. Great breakfast, comfortable room, and great price.

Our lady at the front desk that Checked us in was helpful with finding a seafood restaurant she is a gem keep her around

The hot water in the shower was cold. I woke at 6AM to shower for a day of appointments at Mayo Clinic. I call the front desk. They said that you have to let it warm up. After 10 minutes I gave up and washed with cold water. It turns out the indicators were WRONG. The hot was cold and cold was hot. We found this out when we returned from a day of stressful doctors appointments. The room smelled, it was NOT cleaned while we were gone.

BEDS ARE FANTASTIC! Employees are wonderful. The property is old, tired and outdated - towels are obviously old and too well-used and bathroom has old, ugly WALLPAPER, yuck. Because of hotel's condition, safety is questionable: my room door did not self lock. It required pushing the door closed and manually locking the door. Also, room doors have only a single locking mechanism. I would NOT stay there again; I expect a bit of "luxury" in a hotel.

Right near Mayos Clinic, but much less expensive than other hotel chains near by. Also has a shuttle if you need it.

checked in late on Thursday 6/13/24
The receptionist was happy, kind and friendly and remembered me from a previous stay. I felt so safe and welcomed.

Very close to Mayo and to Jacksonville Beach!

It was the perfect accommodation for my trip. Very quiet, Beds were amazingly comfortable. The free breakfast was a real breakfast with numerous hot and cold entrees to choose from. I’ll definitely be staying here again in my next trip!

Need more time in brack fast

The young lady on the desk when we checked in was top notch. Very friendly and helpful. She made you feel welcome. The breakfast was also very good

I have stayed here at least 10 times in the past few years. It is affordable. The property appears to be going through a decline. Room was musty. Breakfast was mediocre at best. Front desk person was outside using a vape device. I stay here because the hotel at Mayo Clinic is over 100 dollars more and this property used to be basically the same experience.

Not the best of places
4.1
Would stay here again, The Location was perfect for what I needed. Short trip to UNF and the beaches.
4.1
Everything was great. Only thing I would change is not let people smoke right outside the entry way where everyone has to walk through the smokers.
4.1
Check in was smooth, had difficulty with air conditioning in first 2 rooms assigned, 3rd room was a charm, breakfast good, this was my 2nd time staying at this hotel due to proximity to Mayo Clinic.
Thank you

IHG should be ashamed to have this hotel in their portfolio. The bathroom was terrible and so outdated - old tub, rusted door. Needs new paint and carpet in hallways. Good points: front desk check-in, beds, and breakfast.
