Very pleasant 3 days in a double room at Green Nest! We’re in our 70s, have hostelled in the distant past, and being horrified at the cost of hotels in San Sebastián decided to take a chance on Green Nest. Very impressed with the comfort and cleanliness throughout & the staff were all lovely. We used the communal kitchen & frequently had it & the dining room (with a stunning view over the surrounding hills & valley) all to ourselves. But there is also a pleasant area for dining outside in the grounds alongside the well priced bar & restaurant. San Sebastián is still a real gem & we used the bus 33 to get in & out of the city in about 30 minutes. Probably the best budget deal in San Sebastián!!

Basic accomodation, clean and calm, at a reasonable price in San Sebastian area -especially during high season. The city center and the beach can be reached after a 30 minute bus ride. The bus station is at walking distance through a calm forest path. Coming back in the late night can be difficult. A taxi drive from the city center up the hotel costs around 12 Euros, so it's reasonable for a shared taxi (family or several friends). Very helpful and cheerful personnel at the hostel.

All OK except the Wifi connection was not good. Depending on where your room is located, you may only get spotty Wifi connection or no connection at all.
Otherwise, check in and check out was fast and easy, the room was clean, and the surroundings were beautiful.

Facilities I wanted to use were closed. Too far from city centre. Reception staff helpful but I really didn't enjoy my stay.

We just needed an affordable option for one night, 3 people, with free parking, and this hostel certainly fit the bill, plus the room had a nice terrace. However, it was one of those extremely no-frills hostel situations where you don't even get a towel unless you pay extra (only 1 euro, plus 5 euro deposit), and you have to give an extra deposit of 5 euro for the room key, and you have to put the sheets and pillow case on yourself and then deliver them back to the front desk when you leave. So it's a bit rugged, but the bunks were fine, the tiny shower was fine, and it was nice that the room had a private bathroom (rather than a down-the-hall situation).

The air conditioning didn’t work, open door to get breeze and all you got was smell from all the smokers downstairs. Too noisy

They canceled our reservations at the last minute we had to find a new hotel. Do not recommend.

Nice modern hostel. It rained a lot which was a shame. Didn't see a single other guest, but guess we were there in low season. Would certainly return one summer to see it more vibrant.

This hostel is set in a park area a little way out of San Sebastián. It's not ideal if you're looking for night life, but great for those wanting to enjoy nature.

First stay in a hostel. My friend and I were pleasantly surprised. If you're looking for the comforts of a hotel then this is not for you. If you're needing a place to rest your head in a clean room with bunk beds and a shower where the price is right then book it. This place is located in a park area so you can hike around the area. There is a cafeteria on the property. The 3rd floor has a kitchen area for you to cook, tables, chairs, outdoor patio and area that wraps around the building with views. We ended up staying a second night.

A cheap stay whilst visiting San Sabastian, hostel is modern and clean, with friendly & helpful staff! Only downside is the location, on a wooded hill outside the city centre, although it has a beautiful view and a nice walk, I wouldn't fancy doing the walk down and back up to the nearest bus stop everyday! Some bugs/mosquitos due to the area, bring some spray!

My family and I needed a break in our journey as we were driving from England to Portugal, although we understood that this accommodation was dorm type of rooms with 6 beds, we had hoped the staff would have looked at the guest list and had ensured as it happened on our stay on the 30/07/15 we had the room to ourselves, it was very uncomfortable on the 17/08/15 to have shared with a stranger and we only had 4hours rest and we still had 12hours on the road, the person we shared with was not too understanding, but the rooms are clean and airy and its a beautiful setting. Thank you

Called a Hostel, but it is on par for good hotels. Out of the town on a hill, in a wood, ideal for quite walks, it is pet friendly unfortunately locals do not clean up after their pets, need a sat nav to find it easily. Overall, very pleasantly surprised. Would definitely stay there again.

The hostel is very modern. I paid for a double room to myself for 45 euros. But the hostel is in the middle of nowhere and seemingly surrounded by Mosquitos. I ended up taking a taxi there with all my bags and in hindsight would have been much better off booking a more expensive place in San Sebastián itself. Nice enough just not cheap enough to make it worth while in my opinion.

A little out of the way but nice suroundings except as its in the National Park - Mozzie's were everywhere at night!!

The hostel is located at the top of a hill, with a narrow road to drive up. The hostel itself looks new and modern. There are laundry machines and a kitchen. Need to drive into the city, or you can walk up/down the hill and take a bus.

We came to San Sebastian for a few days, and enjoyed the double deluxe room very much. It's clean, comfortable and I'd definitely recommend it to everyone.
