We have just returned from a lovely trip to The Wood Norton.
They made us very welcome & our room was great.
However there was a bad storm outside & our window rattled & even opened at one stage.
The shower had an issue as it only had warm water although in the sink it was very hot.
We reported this in the morning at the front desk & they were very polite & made sure that we were compensated for this.
More so than we would of expected.
They were extremely nice about it as well.
As mentioned we loved our stay and the main building is lovely .
Breakfast was excellent with good choice of hot & cold items.
Would 100% return as the minor issues didn't put us off returning.
Lovely place & nice staff etc.
Will be returning.

Lovely hotel, due to work commitments I had room service, so can't review the restaurant. Plenty of EV chargers but these are at the top of the car park. Comfy bed, I would stay again

I stayed in a king deluxe. The room was lovely, spacious with great views.

Beautiful and unique property, room was a bit smaller than expected but was still ok. Food quality was great for dinner. Service was ok but could have been more helpful and friendlier

Gorgeous peaceful hotel in the British countryside, with lovely rooms and great food. Unfortunately we didn't have time to appreciate it as much as we would have liked to.

Great stay as usual. Comfortable and quiet with friendly staff and great food!

Good location. Lovely property and rooms. Was easily able to book one night and at short notice. Windows in rooms could do with updating and room 303 very noisy from 6am due to all the services (refuge etc) arriving on Monday morning.
Staff in restaurant at breakfast time were lovely. Very helpful and friendly. Lovely stay and will use again.

What a lovely hotel! Very quirky with a mix of old and new buildings/decor but all worked. Beautiful gardens and with stunning views and only a short drive from the attractions of the Cotswolds. The staff were a credit to the hotel, all very friendly, attentive in a relaxed way and couldn't do enough for us. Special mention goes to Beth who greeted us at the beginning of our stay and was particularly lovely. Stayed for 3 nights and sampled dinner and breakfast which was delicious, couldn't criticise a thing. Would definitely stay again and recommend that you do !

A splendid well-maintained and clean 19th century mansion sitting in extensive manicured and flowering gardens which offer walks with views towards the River Avon and Malvern Hills. The building creates a feeling that aristocracy must have felt in days gone by. Very welcoming and helpful staff, including a lively and friendly cat who lives in the hotel, the customer service cannot be faulted. Breakfast offers a vast selection of tasty food and is taken in the exquisitely decorated dining room with very soft classical music playing in the background. This truly is a place where it can be difficult to leave! The only item not provided in the superb bedrooms is a USB plug so an adaptor should be taken if needed.

A lovely venue that I'd highly recommend if wanting to stay in the area. All the staff were friendly and welcoming.

Check in was not the best. We had driven for about 4 hours and arrived 20 mins before proscribed check-in time and were told we'd have to wait. There was nobody serving in the bar\lounge so we asked reception to call someone so we could have a coffee. Nobody appeared by checkin time so we then checked in. When I asked a little later if I could have a magnifying mirror to apply my make-up, receptionist said they didnt have one. Following morning I asked again and they found one for me. Then my husband had forgotten his shave gel and they couldnt help with that. We had to drive to the shops. The most basic Premier Inn would have helped with that. At the prices they charge, these things matter. Despite that the wedding was wonderful and the food was good.. Serving staff were efficient and friendly. Breakfast was excellent. Just the little things that werent good sadly.

We had a lovely stay here a week ago. It’s a beautiful, well kept hideaway yet very accessible. We loved our room, breakfast and the gardens. We will happily stay here next time we are in the area.

Beautiful manor could use so updating, the dinning room had furniture that looked like it came from a diner. Nice staff but I expected a little more formality, and friendlyness.

The main building is quite grand. The breakfast service was great. The staff were attentive and the food was good. The property was inviting and a pleasure to stroll.

It was such a beautiful place and the staff were very pleasant. However, the room was too hot for summer. We were so surprised by the fact that there was no air contioning nor a fan. Additionally, the knob for the shower was broken, making it impossible to see the water temperature.

The hotel itself is beautiful! Gorgeous woodwork, carved portraits in the seldom open room off the lounge, beautiful views, just gorgeous…except the pear tree addition. That’s like a Premier Inn.
Some rooms are very noisy, loud, located next to slamming does, hallways, etc. My wife was lucky enough to change rooms. She was very thankful for this as she is a very light sleeper. I was very happy that TWN allowed us to change rooms! At a charge, of course. Never-the-less they did let us change
The staff in the breakfast room are usually polite and somewhat prompt, but difficult to flag down or get their attention if you need something.
It is very difficult to get a drink or anything else in the bar or adjacent room as there is almost never a staff person on the bar. IF you finally do get someone, they drop off your coffee, drink, food and are never seen again.. so you can’t ask for sugar..or another drink or anything. We had to ask the receptionist twice for a service person. To which we got a snarky reply that s onetime will be with you shortly.. and they were not, so I had to ask again!
The chef does a FINE job on the food! Absolutely top shelf! No complaints there at all! Matter a fact, it’s the food that makes up for the sometimes lack luster service and up charges.
The grounds and garden at TWN are beautiful! The gardener really cares, puts his utmost into the lovely flower beds with such creativity and it really shows! Absolutely gorgeous! Book it!

It was really nice staying there staff were lovely really helpful, food was excellent much better than I expected.
Beds were comfy pillows pretty good too!
Evening meals was excellent.
Amazing prices.
I would only have on small
Negative comment.. sadly my room was I’m guessing adjacent to
The bottle bank and 07:40 I was awoken earlier than I had hoped. So maybe room 403 is best avoided if possible and if you’re not an early riser.
Other than that excellent value for money highly recommend

Very nice historic property for a 4* hotel. Good restaurant and bar too. The gym is very neglected but usable. I was only for a night travelling for work and I got a really good deal. No air conditioning in the rooms but I was given a working fan. Thanks

Classy hotel with lovely gardens to walk around, very comfortable, customer service was always good, breakfast was underwhelming until we saw there a full menu, OMG THE BURGER IS DELIGHTFUL! !! Be ready to get messy, hit the spot 100% value for money 100%

It was serene, quiet and secluded. Loved the historical component to the property (owned by the BBC and used during WWII). The breakfast was excellent BTW. The staff were friendly, courteous and professional.

A lovely traditional hotel. The food is fantastic especially the breakfast. The staff are all very helpful and attentive. I love the atmospher of an old house with all wood pannelling. It also has a gym, which while it could do with updating it does the job. Happy to stay here anytime.

Great reception, Hotel is in a convenient yet quiet location and the rooms are warm, well equipped and comfortable.
The restaurant provided both a comprehensive menu and excellent service whilst breakfast was a real spread, with both English and a very wide choice of healthy options.
Will definitely be back.

Facilities were very good, and the rooms all over the hotel were very well furnished. We were late to booking a meal so had to eat early at 6pm.
5.0 / 10.0
A brilliant stay. Superb hotel.
The meal and breakfast that we had were excellent as was our room - room 202.
The only tiny criticism is that the signage for the car park is not very clear and the 3 pin plug sockets near the mirror don’t accommodate normal plugs, so we had to use the extension block provided across the room.

A stunning venue with outstanding food but!! having chosen the grandest room in the hotel "The Duchesse D'Orleans, Dorothee" Which has great bones ie stunning oak paneling in both the room and ensuite on closer inspection there were old drill holes everywhere, missing bits of trim, and lots of watermarks from leaks, drinks and stains on the fireplace shelf. As an antiques dealer / Furniture restorer this room could have been so much better with some care and attention! Then there was the totally inappropriate furniture!! Cheap and nasty Modern chipboard wardrobe, dressing table, and chest of draws which I'm sure were far more expensive than going to a local auction house and getting some period correct furniture that would have complimented the room and given it a grand feeling and opulence. The corridors had more grandeur than the room. Then you have a shower that didn't drain away the water. It was my 60th birthday and we were there to celebrate and we had a really nice time but if you are going to charge these rates for a VIP room, I suggest the management visit Coomb Abbey in Coventry and see what a real VIP Feature room looks like.
