Great guesthouse friendly owner great breakfast and close to town
4.7
Amazing! Very spacious and comfortable. Although we didn’t use it, the kitchenette included in the room was a nice plus. Delicious breakfast and friendly hosts.

Great breakfast!

We absolutely lucked out with this gem. The host, Mark, is hilarious, helpful and super kind. We really enjoyed room 8 with all the thoughtful extras. Our room had great linens and towels, tons of pillows, amazing light with double doors we could leave open and the bathroom was great with the most excellent of water pressure. They made us breakfast every morning which was nice. We took a 15 min walk and were at water’s edge. The town was lovely with good pubs. Thank you, Mark!!
4.7
Mark was an excellent host. He is very freindly and insured our stay was wonderful. I would stay there again and enjoyed the area.

Perfect location for those coming off the evening ferry from Rosslare. Mark is very clear in his communication for late arrivals such as ourselves

The hosts, Mark & Jan, were wonderful, thoughtful, and helpful. The breakfast was delicious! The room was great. The eating area was open and airy. It's a beautiful property!

Staff were great

The family had a lovely stay. The apartment was clean and ready for use. There are plenty of breakfast options and food was great!
4.7
Family room was big enough for the 3 of us 2 adults and a 15yr old. Quiet area. Check in convenient, check out was 10.30.
Only downside was unsure where to put the key on check out.
Would stay there again.
4.7
An ideal base for exploring the Fishguard area. Mark and his family ensured our stay was very relaxed and the breakfast buffet is far superior to many top hotels! :-)

Mark and Jan are great. Very comfortable room. Great breakfast. Highly recommend

Room was very clean and neat. Very simple and cottage like suite. Beds were comfortable. The best part of the experience is that the host was very responsive and helpful when our train from Cardiff was cancelled. Mark helped to problem-solve this part of the journey.

Having unwittingly book an unsuitable room Mark and Jan, kindly changed us to a really nice room. Thank you both for your understanding. Jan cooked us a really nice Chinese meal.
4.7
The room is very clean. There is everything we need. The breakfast was delicious.
The location is convenient. We definitely want to come back to stay.

Enjoyed our three days, excellent breakfast, plenty of hot water, very clean. Mark and Jan were excellent hosts.

Very friendly and helpful couple, enjoyed stay.
4.7
Lovely stay. The owners are friendly and great at communicating. The room was perfect for our needs. My husband and I really loved the mini fridge and microwave and my children loved the hot chocolate in the room. The gardens in the back are beautiful and it was fun to stay in a place with history attached to it.

Know the area very well and 'The Drim' is a very quiet and lovely area. The property is easily accessible clean and Mark and Jan are a lovely, welcoming couple. I had a lovely, clean, spacious room and the facilities were excellent. Had a fabulous stay.
4.7
The most accommodating and friendly Hosts. They made me feel right at home the minute I walked in.

Large clean room. Liked loft style. Too many notifications from Expedia. Good value for money.

Owner couldn't do enough for you breakfast was excellent

Very plead

A good bolt hole for the ferry and the rooms themselves were clean, if a little dated. Communication was good but the contactless check in makes it feel less friendly as there was no welcome.
It was really difficult to find somewhere to eat, it was a Monday evening, and the two local pubs were either closed or fully booked. No food options on the property and only one early breakfast sitting at 8 am.
We were just there for the night but any longer might have been tricky
4.7
Nice room. Clean. Good bathroom.
Free parking on site. I would definitely book again

Good owners.
4.7
Easy to find loved contactless stay, lovely n clean, just a bit dated. Only negative was photo showed sitting area with sofa where as 1 armchair and two hard chairs after driving all day had to sit on beds otherwise lovely
4.7
Our room was clean and perfect for our family of four. Breakfast was fresh, healthy, and cooked to perfection. The owners Mark and Jan were friendly and helpful. A great jump off spot for coastal treks or a longer stay in a peaceful patch of the planet with fine walking trails into town.
4.7
Great option if you want an easy stopover when coming off the ferry. Easy to find, getting to the room was clearly explained. Comfortable room and large bathroom, plenty of sockets and USB plugs. Nice breakfast in pleasant room. Helpful staff and relaxing atmosphere.
4.7
Absolutely fabulous, stayed in room 14,kitchen, lounge area, immaculate with everything you could possibly need. Lovely comfy beds and linen. Had breakfast brought to our room. Tried both continental and english. Just perfect. Only 5mins from Fishguard port. Mark and Jan were great. Would highly recommend and definitely stay again.

The room was spacious, with "kitchen"facilities that we weren't expecting (although a very stained mat in front of the sink). The bathroom was adequate and clean with basic toiletries. We had paid extra for a queen bed, but it was just a standard double. Breakfast was brought to the room with a choice of Full English or Continental. The food was hot but we were very disappointed to miss the "hotel/guest house" experience of going down to breakfast, being able to meet with other guests, choosing what we wanted to eat and having fresh toast and tea in a teapot! In fact, we were not allowed into the main building AT ALL, so we saw nothing of the bar, restaurant, lounge with piano, spa and all the other things described in the hotel website. I appreciate that SOME restrictions were down to COVID, but wherever we went during the week, we could go into pubs and restaurants to eat with the minimum of restrictions. It made the stay feel more like a self-catering experience, albeit one where breakfast was brought to us. We had been warned, just 2 days prior to our visit, that no breakfast would be provided on our first morning (we had already paid for this). I had to chase up the proprietor at the end of our stay for reimbursment for the missed meal. There was no daily housekeeping (okay, COVID again) but not even a toilet brush or roll of kitchen towel was provided. The general feeling was that COVID was being used as an excuse to offer limited facilities. Overall "Could do better"
4.7
Pros: Convenient parking; clean; serious COVID precautions and preparations (contactless check-in, prepared basic list of nearby takeaways).
Cons: Overpriced for basic rooms. The most expensive B&B during my trip, yet the least comfortable and most threadbare. The house has old bones. You definitely get to know your fellow guests intimately, as you can easily hear their tellies even on low volume, as well as every conversation, snore, toilet flush, and creaky bed spring.
Communication: Aggressive messaging in caps.

This review is for room 4. We were a little disappointed with the room size. We stayed in room 4 which we didn’t realize was the smallest in the hotel. On the plus side the bed room and shower room was very clean. We had a bit of a disagreements with the owner in regards to room description when booked the room had a bath now it only has a small shower. (So small that I could not turn around it - not for rugby sized people) also the size of the bed is a small (4 foot) double. This was also a issue for me and by partner in terms of getting a good nights sleep. On the plus side there seemed their are other room available and the breakfast (last sitting 9am) was excellent.

I had an excellent stay at Ivybridge Guest House. Due to the busy time of year, I had to change room during my stay. The hosts helped to make it swiftly in the morning, so i could enjoy the rest of my day.
Both rooms were very clean, spacious and comfortable.
They picked me up and drove me back to the station with my luggage and have been most helpful during my stay. Very pleasant.
