Location, Staff, Comfort, breakfast all excellent
The bathroom in Room 330 was tiny, hardly enough room to get in the shower and the sink to small even to shave. Less than adequate.

Great mid week price. Good location, close to train and bus station and easy walk to shops and restaurants.
Cheapest spa hotel in Chester I would think.
Bedroom was basic but was very clean

All the staff was extremely helpful. Sam in the dining room was so welcoming and entertaining. Room was very spacious and clean.
Our room was facing the main road so we had constant traffic going past. Not too much of a problem though.

couldn’t fault the location. parking was very good . facilities like the gym and poor were excellent
some modernisation would be good especially the bathroom shower terrible and also was in the bath so not ideal as your getting older .

Breakfast excellent, room very good, location to city centre excellent, staff very good, drinks prices very good. Would certainly recommend this hotel and would definitely book this one again.
Everything about our stay was first class

Overall the hotel is good, location is perfect. Original bathroom very small but asked to move to a better room and this was arranged. Bed comfortable. Nice bar and lounge area.
Breakfast not great. I eat continental and very poor choice. Tin peaches or tin grapefruit, yoghurt, croissants and toast were the only options. Food choice in restaurant not great.

position and some of the facilities
the room(booked via booking.com) was basic, small bed, bathroom in need of renovation, murderous hot water, very warm room ( connection)
the bar snacks and restaurant stopped serving at 8:30pm….not widely advertised
Many returning from a damp day at the Open not best pleased

Location was very central. Staff extremely attentive and friendly
Room faced a busy road. Will ask for a canal facing room in the future.

Breakfast was a buffet but the food was good
Parking explained better on the website

location is great, staff were friendly and it’s always clean
Breakfast is a massive let down. Pre-made toast that is left on the warming plate that just goes soggy. No mushrooms?? And no offer of extras such as pancakes, omelettes, eggs Benedict, boiled eggs etc

the location to Chester city centre was ideal. we could walk into town
a bit dated but too bad

Gym and Spa was excellent.
Cleanliness was great
Staff very friendly and helpful
Bathroom needs bit more. No shelf/ area for toiletries/ wash bags so had to put in floor.
No towel rail or anywhere to put towels to dry.
Pigeons woke us up at4:30 all 3 mornings, probably nothing can be done but….

Rooms were great, very clean also central for town. Spa massage and facial I had was fantastic very relaxing thanks to the lovely Sveitleania ( not sure on spelling) a lovely Ukrainian lady who was so efficient and professional.
I did feel that some of the bar staff were not very helpful but on the whole the experience was very good.

value for money and location
bed mattress in room 338 was well past it’s sell by date. springs completely gone. needs replacing
9.0
close to town
nice rooms
comfortable beds
The lady on reception when we arrived was very rude & made us feel second class for using booking. com instead of booking direct with them. This was our 3rd stay at this hotel & she is the only staff member who has been rude
Also we were not aware that you have to pay for parking if you don’t book direct with the hotel 😐

Everything was perfect other than the rooms. The pool was lovely, breakfast was great and the canal was beautiful.
, the rooms could use a little updating, I was opening the blinds and the rail fell down on me. They just need a little revamp and a little more maintaining.

Stayed here before and wasn't disappointed on our second visit. Again staff very polite and helpful, room larger than before, very comfortable and clean. Breakfast plentiful and nice and hot.
Parking over the road.
Great location, 5 minutes into the main high street.
We've been going to Chester once or twice a year over the last 11 years. Stayed in some lovely hotels and b&b's, but I must say this beats them all.
Will be staying here again on our return.

Good breakfast. Nicely presented.
Noisy neighbours. This was not the hotel's fault. In fact, when reception staff were told about it, they sorted it right away.

We absolutely loved this hotel - the food was delicious, the cocktails were outstanding, the location was about as perfect as you can get without being in the town, the spa was lovely............ but the truly fantastic staff were the thing that made this holiday so memorable. Nothing was too much trouble for them and every person we spoke to wanted us to have a wonderful time in Chester.
HAVING TO COME HOME!! Would have loved to go out on the hotel barge, but unfortunately it wasn't in service when we were staying there.
