The staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating. They served dinner later in the evening and having the restaurant connected to the guesthouse was very convenient.
Malta has decent public transport, but we did not use it, as it was easy to walk around. There was also a grocery store, Spar, around the corner about 2 minutes away.
Would definitely stay there again!

What a lovely place, the centre/town square is like 5 minutes walk. There are stores all around the area, giving you so much choices for booking things like sightseeing buses to see the north and south of Malta… or boat trips. The Malta aquarium is walking distance from the guest houses hotel. We’ve done it all! it’s been a wonderful experience and the hosts are so friendly and helpful absolutely adorable, I wish them a successful business, and prosperity.

Value for money in off peak period, clean, has fridge, ac, convenient location, friendly staff, good on site catering options (Full English Breakfast €6 and yummy)

Bed sheets were so old and thin you could see through them. Beds were also old and uncomfortable. Very unfriendly and when I requested a blanket the first night (they only had sheets on the bed) we were given 2 awful scratchy lap blankets. The next day we requested a softer blanket and was given a better one that was a double size for the 2 of us that was also well used. It felt more like a hostel type room.

There was a smell in the room which was very disturbing - humidity.
Also, the airconditioning external unit, was exactly outside of the window making a lot of noice.

location was good.. however, the picture for the triple room does not reflect the actual room.. the mattress are very uncomfortable (cheap quality that you feel the strings inside). The bathroom is very small.

Beautifully family run hotel. Room was spotlessly cleaned every day. Restaurant offered excellent menu. Really great value for money, I would recommend. Marlene, Eddie, Kurt and William were excellent hosts.

Globally a good cheap hotel option, placed in the middle of the city, the room and bathroom are rather small but for the price can't really complain, and it was what I was looking for... Got an A/C unit that can be used for heating, shower is fine, warm water as much as you need.... Only negative things I noted is the fact that the bed length felt a bit small (I'm 1,83m) maybe it could be an issue for taller persons... and the wall plugs are UK only which is unconvenient...unlike in other hotels... even if one plug had USB slots.

Really nice stay, friendly staff and amazing food. Carbonara is to die for and the southern fried chicken burger was amazing.
Rooms basic and fridge noisy but the restaurant and food more than made up for it.

Enjoyed my stay at the Buccaneers hotel room was very clean but lacked wardrobe space only had 5 hangers for two of us for the week. The food was extremely good both at breakfast and evening. Service was great and staff very efficient

Ideal group stay plenty room to accommodate family of six each in separate bed. We also ate in their restaurant the evening of our stay and thoroughly enjoyed a selection of set 3 course menus at a very reasonable price.

The staff was nice and friendly. I just wish they have microwave and hair- dryer especially for tourists from different countries.
The staff was attentive to our complaints- esp when the patio door was broken. They came to fix it right away.
The room was spacious for a big family like ours- 6 of us.

Perfect spot to visit in Malta. 3 minute walk away from the ocean it was a beautiful place. There was so much culture around the area. The staff at the hotel were very welcoming and relaxing. Would love to stay here again

I will start with the bad, beds were a bit soft, no safe that I could see, noisy fridge. On the plus, food was nice, room was nice, staff were very friendly and accommodating. Close to the main square where the restraints are located. You need to put that there is a pool on the web site.

On the whole ok
I was expecting a king size bed as advertised but it was just a normal double
Asked for 2 yes 2 extra tea bags but was refused by the owner. So was rather annoyed about that, no I wouldn’t go back.

Buccaneers has been refurbed to a good standard. The location is close to the main square in a rather scruffy part of the town. The 'boutique' guest house boast an 'a la carte' dining or 'gastropub' both of which are a bit pretentious but the food is generally of a good quality. The double room was a little small with no view but adequate for a budget one week holiday.

Good location - an easy walk to restaurants and the sea. (Lovely walk along the promenade.) On the bus route but tucked away in a quieter area than most of the hotels. Newly refurbished rooms and friendly, helpful staff. Room was quite basic and small but was adequate because we didn’t spend much time in it!

This hotel is well equipped and modern after a very recent refurbishment.
The room we were allocated wasn't very big but it was very clean with a nice shower (however there was no hairdryer) and comfortable beds but they do have bigger rooms available on request. It would also be advisable to ask for a room with a view if possible as our room looked out onto a walled heating unit. We were only there for a few days and used the room to just basically sleep in so this was not a problem for us . There are rooms available with balconies and land views. The food in the restaurant was very good and value for money and we did in fact eat there on a number of occasions and were never disappointed. The staff were always very friendly and helpful. We would definitely book there again.
