About this house rental
If you are considering a large family gathering, we can help! Sleeping up to 20 (or 22 with the apartment) people, either as Self Catering or as a B&B, you can have the whole of Bossington Hall to yourself.
An Edwardian Gentleman's residence, built in the Arts and Crafts style, by a shipping CEO in 1911 and extended in 1923 for his Grandchildren.
Porlock village with its pubs, shops, tea rooms, museums and restaurants is just a mile's easy walk away from our award winning Bed and Breakfast. Or why not take a hearty 45 minute walk along to coast to Porlock Weir's tiny harbour, again with pubs, shops and restaurants?
Every room has a very unique character; Heddon Master room is truly vast, with dual aspect views, Greenaleigh has the best view from a panoramic window, Embercombe is one of our dog friendly rooms, Kinsford has a bath in the bedroom bay window!
In the North wing are Ivystone and Kinsford, with roll-top baths, and four en-suites, (Ivystone, Jennifrieds, Martinhoe and Longpool). All our rooms are named from local waters, and there is a framed description in each room.
Allerford View is our apartment, which is level access, and has its own web page, as well as its own entrance. This can take the capacity to 22
A tranquil and serene location, perfect for your staycation weekend, or a walker’s base to explore the Somerset scenery along the South West Coast Path or Coleridge Way.
Relax after a long day with our Honesty Bar and read a book from our little library while enjoying the view, or enjoy the Sauna, whatever the weather. Just 5 miles to Minehead by road gives you long sandy beaches and a great Links Golf Course.
Practical elements like a Boot Room by the front door and Dog Towels will ensure a seamless break. Outside, you have eight acres of informal garden, a mill pond, shallow river, waterfall and woodland to explore. Boasting expansive lawned areas, tennis and the oldest private Squash court (Grade II listed) in England.
Inside we have a touchscreen coffee machine (cappuccinos etc) or you may enjoy a glass of something from the Bar in the picture window of the warm, comfortable lounge so even an inclement day will be wonderful.
