+ Kijani Cottages is a great place whether you're travelling with your family, a group of friends or solo.
- The property is large with ample garden space and greenery. There is even a playground with swings, slides and jungle gym for children and swings are also able to carry adults :D.
- There's a large pool - great for keeping fit. It has a kiddie pool as well.
- My favourite thing to do was lounging around on the swinging day beds. I enjoyed that there were many places where you could chill and relax.
- There is a pool table, ping pong table and darts for your entertainment. Books for the bookworms of course!
- They even have bicycles that you can rent for the day which is really convenient if you want to go to the market. Markets, shopping centers, banks etc. are nearby. (something to note at the nearest bank they only exchange dollars and pounds, but if you go to ABSA bank, they'll exchange about every currency).
- The beach is about an 8-10 minute walk from Kijani, you can also get to other beaches by tuk tuk or motorcycle (about a 10/15 minute drive)
In conclusion Kijani has a lot to offer and you won't be bored, definitely coming back here again on my next Kenya travel!
- I wish they had more vegan options on the menu, but they did have vegetarian options and it was easy enough to substitute something for something else.
4.5
I had a great time in Kijani Cottages. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful; for instance, they organized taxis, made a restaurant reservation and helped me to book a bus. The food was good and reasonably priced. The beach is close by (10 minute walk). I especially liked the big pool and the nice garden
Nothing really.
