Great location, quiet, car park.
Quirky room in a delightful pub.
Staff were absolutely great.

A comfortable place to spend a night when I came down to Bicester to visit my son. The room was clean and well-presented and better than other pub accommodation I have stayed in. The only concern (for other travellers) is the sound from the bar came be heard in the room, but, since I was in the bar talking to my son - it did not bother me!
Probably a little bit more than I would normally spend on pub accommodation. But, cheaper than the Holiday Inn Express at Bicester village.

Good position, comfortable; friendly and helpful staff.....made special effort over breakfast requirements
Need to provide better drying facilities in bathroom.. Also an extractor fan.
3.5
Room was quirky. Top end of the main high street with bars
Carpets need changing

The staff were extremely friendly and warm
Bed was slightly uncomfortable but didn't mind for one nights stay
3.5
Very friendly staff, awesome breakfast and good location
The room is located too near to the bar area so it’s a bit noisy before 11pm but after all everything is fine.

Creaky floorboards.
Big room.
No body wash just shampoo.

Good place to stay for shopping in Bicester village and very dog friendly. Staff are very friendly and the breakfast is excellent.
Room was a little tired and needed attention on the cleanliness side but the superior room was large and great for our dog.

Lovely place just a little noisy for a Monday night

Listed as Deluxe - should not be listed as such and was e ceptionally dirty with broken furniture. So diissapoint - we didn't even stay.
Everything room related. Only positive was the general staff level of curtesy.

Super friendly, very accommodating for my last minute change of plans. Lovely cosy room. Clean.
3.5
Very comfortable, staff amazing, nothing was too much trouble. Very close to town, just a small stroll. Food was good, especially breakfast.
There was no wardrobe in bedroom. Garden needed tending.

The staff were friendly and the location of the pub was decent for what we needed.
The room was by far the filthiest I’ve ever stayed in. In truth, I’ve stayed in cleaner hostels across Europe. The carpet hadn’t been hoovered, let alone cleaned. Even at first glance it looked dirty, and then I found a contact lens on the floor, amongst other bits of dirt. I put the contact lens in the bin that also had no bin bag in it.
In the bathroom, there is no toilet brush. The shower screen is caked in limescale and clearly hasn’t been cleaned in a very long time, if at all. The corners of the shower, the grout and the sealant were mouldy. The paint on the ceiling is flaking off and is in disrepair. The extractor fan is caked in thick dust. Then there’s the bathroom door! The back of which is painted white but is now brown with dirty, greasy hands having been all over it and never wiped down or repainted.
The fan in the room has no guard. While it’s unlikely someone would put their hand into it, I do worry about an errant towel or long hair when exiting the bathroom. Or, a child losing a finger or two when they get curious.
The tea/coffee holder hadn’t been cleaned, the bedside light flickers until you tap the bulb a few times. It does the same when you move the power block - loose connection?
I cannot comprehend how they think it’s acceptable to offer a room in this kind of condition. It’s nothing to do with the building being old, it’s just cleanliness. The staff obviously aren’t cleaning it and necessary repairs aren’t being made either.
Frankly, I would be embarrassed to show someone to this room and at £105 for a single night, they’re charging more than a Premier Inn, which most people class as low-end. Yet, they’re clean at the very least.
They completely failed at all the basics and this has been noted in reviews over the past months and years now that I’ve looked deeper. Even with countless people (almost all of them) writing similar things to me, they haven’t actioned anything! It’s shameful.

Location to Bicester centre and Bicester village.
Quaint pub with lots of character
Rooms clean
Some communal areas a bit tatty, needs some love and attention but generally nice.

The breakfast was delicious, fresh-cooked and individual according to our preferences. The room was as we expected, a traditional pub room with traditional decorations. It was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful; nothing was too much trouble. The location was good; just on the outskirts of town so quiet, but only a few minutes walk to the centre. Easy parking at the back of the pub.
A few more sachets of coffee in the room would have been good, but this is a very small detail. We had to ask for milk for the room coffee, but this meant it was fresh rather than packets, so actually better than usual, and they happily provided it.

The staff were excellent when we arrived and for both breakfasts. Shout out to Emma who gave us some tips on local attractions really helpful. Breakfast was really delicious just what we wanted. Our stay coincided with open mike night in the bar there’s a lot of talent in Bicester!

The staff were amazing🤗

Location was good. East parking friendly staff and welcome. Quirky interesting place. Good food and breakfast choice.
Bathroom cleanliness was not up to standard I'd expect.

Location was perfect for traveling into London. Nice pub with friendly staff
Room was quite dusty, looked like it hasn't been cleaned for a few days. Breakfast was disappointing, eggs overcooked, white toast only (and barely toasted at all)
3.5
Lovely convenient place to stay, very close to Bicester Village, helpful, chatty staff and the food was excellent.
Nothing at all.
3.5
The location was a short walk from family so was ideal for us. The breakfast was good with enough choice and the room was a decent size with good size shower room. King size bed very comfortable.
Could have done with bin liners in both bedroom and shower room bins. The built in cupboard door didn't open, so couldn't hang any clothes up but we just kept them in our suitcase.

No internet. Left first thing want my money back.
3.5
It was noisy as right above the pub

The staff were fantastic - nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was delicious
The communal stairs to the room were worn and a little tired

lovely staff
the room can be quite noisy at nights, as its sound proof is not the best.

The staff were friendly and welcoming. I have maybe had an equally good eggs Royale but never better.
The stair carpet was a little tired

We thought the service and meals were excellent and you are well positioned for our needs
The only thing that got a bit of a trial was that the toilet door had a bad squeak every time you went to the loo which woke the other person sleeping

Pub and accommodation is full of character. Great size room, huge comfy bed. Pub staff were fantastic - attentive, great service, fun. Nothing was too much trouble.
Worth knowing that the rooms are over the main pub lounge, so you hear the music and hubbub untilit stops. Didn't bother us but it's worth knowing!
3.5

Great staff and the pub is cozy. sitting by the fire sipping wine. love having a pub downstairs from the room.
The bed in room 3 was terrible. you can feel every spring in the mattress. we had a bad sleep due to it. guys… guys throw that mattress in the bin and buy a new mattress for that room!
please tell the chef to not serve raw avocado in the breakfast. avocado is not meant to be a crunchy fruit. 😂
other than that… I really enjoyed the old rustic pub feel and ambiance. so close to being a great tavern. just fix that bed!!!
