Great location walking distance to everything. The room was great too. I for sure would stay again.
4.3
We loved the location of the hotel, very convenient. And check-in check-out is also very convenient. The equipment in the room is very complete, including refrigerator, microwave, tableware, etc. Also, the staff are very nice and the tips before check-in are very thoughtful and attentive.
Some places were not cleaned very well. For example, there were a lot of unknown solid residues on the door where the fire escape sign was posted. The bathroom door and tub had previous guests' hair. The quilt cover is a bit old and stained. Some of the wooden frames and edges of the room are quite dilapidated. Also, the TV remote control is a bit malfunctioning.
4.3
Can't beat the location in the James Bay district of Victoria BC. Just 2 blocks from the Inner Harbor, coffee shops,, restaurants the Empress Hotel, Royal BC Museum, and the Victoria BC Parliament building.
Room & Bath could use some modernizing (an elongated toilet would be appreciated!-), but, overall, the accomodations were fine. The power strip outlets were too loose to hold any plugs.

Everything in the room you needed
Communal bath, was OK

Suitable facilities
The bed was narrow for 2 persons

Close to town
Was not the room I booked. However, I was discounted 50%

Stayed with 3 friends, very room for a group, two full bathrooms, 2 bedrooms with 3 beds and also sofa bed. Could walk to lots of restaurants, the harbour, etc. Kitchen was massive and well equipped though we didn’t plan to cook. Nice that they had coffee, tea bags, sugar, salt & pepper etc and well supplied with dish soap, TP, etc. Able to store luggage before we checked in. Really lovely place.
It is a heritage place so the heating is finicky. There are time controlled gas fireplaces in several rooms and old fashioned heat registers but we did find it cold at night and takes a long time to warm up.
4.3
Great location. Very well appointed heritage house. Easy to get to and the under ground parking was a real bonus.

Location great!
4.3
Location is excellent for sightseeing downtown Victoria.
Booking is all by text or cellphone which we do not use. Never see or meet anyone at property. Even though parking is offered free on site, they ask you to pay for it, also early arrival charge and pet charge. Didn't like the uncertainty of parking and hidden fees.
4.3
parking situation not great but the location doesn't allow for much better
4.3
Private loft apartment, spacious, with many amenities for breakfast and light meals in room, large tub, sofa and skylights, all very close to central city attractions, and including secure on site parking.
4.3
Well located in the heart of the city. The apartment was extremely well appointed and immaculately clean. Johnny, the on-site manager, welcomed us to the suite and was very congenial.
The apartment was quite warm and as I don't like A/C found it a challenge to balance the heat.
4.3
Very clean and comfortable. "Emily Carr" room is well placed at the front end of the patio. Very recommended.
The concept of the common kitchen area in the center is very clever. Dish washing liquid, towels, coffee maker are available and well maintained. Unfortunately the room was taken for the next night so we could not extend our stay.
Parking garage worth the 10 extra bucks given the fact that you can come and go as you like. Most city sights are in walking distance.
Only the large family apt is above ground level. The patio / "terrace" of the lower level rooms is large enough to avoid the feeling of being "underground", though.
4.3
The location and reasonable price was appreciated.

The stay was great. But the cleanliness in the bathroom could be better . The Shower curtain should be changed , mildew marks on it . Also the toilet around the bottom had not be cleaned . Grounds are beautiful. It also should be dusted . All in all it was a great time away .
4.3
quiet
checking in easy. convenience of the garage for our car nearby, responsiveness of the staff when we had a question about opening a window, location close to what we wanted to see. Would have liked more time to stay with you.
nothing

I won’t stay anywhere else from now on when I visit my son in Victoria! What a lovely place! The room was great. I enjoyed the character, furnishings, fireplace, walkable location near downtown, the waterfront and Beacon Hill Park. Excellent value! Loved the courtyard, and that it was dog friendly. It felt like a home away from home, not a hotel room. I will return soon and often.

When phoned the manager(???) answered all questions promptly.
Signage almost non-existant in garage as to where staircase was located. No overall map of various rooms so very difficult to find way around. Procedure as to how to get back into garage from room not identified. Location as to starting point from which to unload not identified in advance. Coffeemaker in room but no coffee. No evidence of any ice machine. No local phone directory available. Map on wall of nearby places did not identify more than a few streets. No indication in advance of necessity to climb stairs. No contact other than by phone with any personnel. Like dealing with a ghost!
4.3
Quaint and well stocked with amenities. excellent location.
4.3
A really great spot near downtown!
4.3
Great location. Easy check in
Large tub was cool but water pressure was poor so after 45 minutes there was only 5 inches of water in the tub. Did not appreciate the manager knocking on the door at 8:50 when we said we would check out by 10. He knocked for no reason.
4.3
near the park, great aesthetic, nice layout, cosy room, quiet location
same with any house I can hear other occupants but that is expected
4.3
Great location - walking distance to great scenery, coffee, restaurants and downtown
Parking facilities was a bonus.
Nothing- everything was perfect
4.3
great location, cute little rooms, small washroom but we were only there for a night and it accomplished what it needed to. very beautiful area of Victoria and close to downtown and Dallas Rd to walk the dog in the morning. pet friendly is a huge plus.
4.3
We didn’t have breakfast as we didn’t know it was available.
The pipes making noise in the middle of the night.

Location was perfect, convenient parking, room a delight and real value for money!! Can’t wait to return 🥰🇨🇦
Nothing. It was so well planned

There was a glitch in communications. And I couldn’t seem to reach anyone.
Next time I will just call directly.

The house is a charming older home in the lovely and peaceful James Bay neighborhood, half a block from Beacon Hill Park. The room was cozy and comfortable. I liked the "French artists" theme of the house, and especially like the Renoir prints in my "Renoir Retreat" room. The big tub was a welcome Gallic touch, and if I had stayed for more than one night, I certainly would have taken advantage of it.
4.3
Check in was a breeze. The home is beautiful and the Mclure suite was very large. Great for a family. Quiet neighbourhood. Comfortable beds.
4.3
Great central location. Room was cozy and comfortable.
Surface cleaning was good however could use a bit more attention to detail. I dropped an earring on the floor and when I got down to get it noticed how dirty it was. The pedestal on the sink was very dirty as were the baseboards. There were pills and some food bits under the tub.
