4.0
Great location, short walk to the beach, all amenities, knowledgeable, friendly, bilingual staff, and a nice pool with lizards.

the receptionist was lovely! she was so chatty and friendly and we loved that. we were also very close to everything.
the “patio” was awful, and actually hazardous, dirty and so random.
the resturant and bar were non operational, which we didn’t know prior to booking. and the pool was also not well maintained at all. there was even a pool light that had broken, and the wires were just in the water.
we had no hot water the first night, which was fixed when we brought it to receptions attention, the wifi only worked by the pool or at reception, nothing in our room, our light went out, we couldn’t lock the “patio” door at the side of our little hut.
the bed was comfortable but unfortunately all of these other maintenance issues just made it feel like we shouldn’t have paid what we did.
3.5
We like the location, it was close to everything in la quinta. it was close to the beach so no much noise. and the staff really friendly. it felt like like having a house in the beach
the facilities need lots of work specially restrooms but for the price i believe its ok. there's no parking so its a hassle and the pool needs more attention
4.5
This place is on The rustic side if you like to have a minimalistic environment right on the beach.
Cute as a place can be seems like you've stepped into a rusty old fisherman's village/dive Paradise walk two blocks away and do you have some of the largest nightclubs I've ever seen however this place for some reason is dead quiet in the middle of the night.
It's very bare Bones however if you expecting any luxury forget about it however if you're there on vacation to really enjoy the ocean diving right close to the ferry lots of restaurants to choose from. Make sure before booking this place if you have a chance to see about the seaweed situation if it's bad when you walk out into the beach you walk out into a couple feet of seaweed and cannot get into the water through it you have to go to another part of the beach in order to get into the water.
Oftentimes there was nobody at the front desk for long periods of time nor was there a security guard even sometimes late at night and the gates are open.
Very little English is spoken here and don't expect much about concierge the people who did work there are quite friendly and try to accommodate.
The hotel itself although quite quiet at night is surrounded by large night clubs but you have to muscle through quite a lot of people in order to get to this little sleepy hollow divers style glamping site.
The water pressure was okay however there wasn't much in the way of hot water and didn't last very long. There should be a security guard present all night long sometimes there wasn't a security guard and often times there wasn't a long periods of time. There is no television of refrigerator but the internet was fine and so was the electricity
There are no supermarkets nearby and yes there's no place to make your own food I suppose it's not important just a few convenience stores.
The hotel does not supply filtered water. The towels were very very old. No toiletries are supplied.

Locating is great
There was no water service in the room
1.5
the location is close to the center
the staff doesn’t care about the condition of this place. water is not working in the bath room. towels were dirty at arrival. obviously the management of this place does not care about to provide a good experience for the customers.
5.0
It felt like it wasn’t in the middle of the city, it’s surrounded by trees and lots of iguanas. It was very close to the ocean and 5th Ave! The owners were SO wonderful, accommodating, and kind.
The closest access to the ocean wasn’t that accessible but it is a short walking distance to a good swimming spot by the pier.
0.5
the location only
this place is nothing like the pictures. the rooms are full of mold and they also smell bad because of it, the pool was green. It looks like there’s no maintenance there for a while!
4.0
We really liked the room! It's something else. It's close to the beach (which would've been nice if there wasn't so much sargassum)
For me the swimming pool was kind of dirty. Maybe it's because we weren't there during high season. But still, it would've be a 9/10 if the swimming pool and area were cleaner.
Didn't really like the free breakfast.
1.5
No hot water early morning or late afternoon.
No free parking for blocks and blocks. Parking almost impossible to find late nights.
Bugs entered freely because big gaps in all doors
Night staff parties and drinks in courtyard till 4pm loud.

the location was relatively good even though it is close to the beach that area of the beach not really accessible. you still would need to walk few blocks. Besides on the most beach areas too much seaweed and not to pleasant to swim
My stay was 4 days and not once during this stay the floor was swept or trash removed from the bungalow even though i asked for it twice. The pool wasnt clean to go and use. The was a light sewerage smell around the pool. The internet signal inside the bungalow was almost nonavailable. the faucets are shaky and the water was in the shower head had a low pressure. Staff was not too friendly. For 10 dollars a night more a stayed in the MUCH better place with larger rooms, super clean with a hair fan (which was not available at Isabella). There are many better options for the same money around 37 street. Or if willing to pay a bit more even much better options. On the last night of my stay there was a loud company having a dinner till midnight and after the worker must have been washing the dishes must until 3 am and since the bungalow was close by to the kitchen area needless to say I barely had a good night sleep

The location is very central, pretty close to the loudest street in Playa del Carmen, but It actually wasn't noisy at night. It's a few blocks from both bus stations, very close to 5th avenue, the beach and some nice beach clubs. The bed in my room was enormous! And the room was clean and minimal (which I like). Fan, A/C, safe, hanging space, nice shower. I didn't have the breakfast, but I was told it was toast and fruit. There are many restaurants nearby and a 7-11 around the corner.
I tried multiple times to organise an airport transfer before I arrived (which was one of my search criteria when I booked) - I was given 2 whatsapp numbers - one didn't work, and the other never responded to my messages - I messaged on the booking.com app, sent an email... and nothing! In the end I took a bus from the airport and walked from the bus station. On arrival I tried to organise a return transfer to the airport directly with the reception staff.. and they never got back to me ("I'll speak to my manager").. Finally I asked the night porter about a taxi on the street, and I was promised that there were taxis at the stand at the corner all night (I had to go to the airport at 4am so I wanted to be certain).. but that wasn't the case either, so I ended up walking again (which takes about 15 mins) with a heavy bag, in the middle of the night, which isn't great as a lone female. So I was very unimpressed by the TOTAL lack of communication before my arrival and even when I was actually there - fortunately I know Playa well, so I could manage, but for someone who has never been there before you end up either stranded or at the mercy of the notorious rip-off taxi divers at the airport. The internet in my room was very weak, but OK close to the pool. There is a very strong smell of sulphur in the area, apparently due to the sargassum.
3.0
Spacious room and friendly staff. Affordable. Not far away from the party zone.
Cleanliness and smell. The location is misleading. It is near the ocean but the nearest beach is just a dumpster.
2.5
Location was great
Cleanliness. Attention to detail. Lack of staffing
3.0
I really liked the location it's near the 5th Avenue where all restaurants and bars are.
The pillows were uncomfortable and very old as well as all the lines. There were bugs in the bathroom. There were no toiletries in the room.
2.5
This hotel really needs a big renovation, that’s what I can only say…
4.0
The hosts were very nice, the breakfast was great, the room was a good size with a separate wash room, with AC.
The shower did not drain properly, and the pool was a bit underwhelming.
3.5
Super friendly and helpful staff, perfect location (close to everything, but on a calm and safe street), charming common areas, outside shower
Bathroom really does need some serious maintenance, indoor shower was indeed very dirty like some other reviews mentioned and a lot of rust everywhere. Not really cared after when you look at the details, but it was perfect for one night (and for the price)
2.5
Good location, walking distance to the main street
Looks more modern in the pictures than it actually is. Didn’t find it really clean, the staff wasn’t most welcoming. Wouldn’t go back.
4.5
super nice atmosphère and cute little houses
perfect location, near the beach but no noise from the parties not far
the staff was really friendly
there is no parking (except in the street but you need to pay - either with coins (pesos) or with an app linked to your Mexican number if you get a SIM card there)
breakfast could be improved
the smell of the seaweeds. there was so much on the beach when we were there because of the wind and the smell is awful. unfortunately for them, they can’t do anything about it
4.0
The lication is super central, but there is no noise from the clubs. The place is actually super nice, with the beach huts and beachy vibes, but it felt like they stopped taking care of it maybe during the pandemic.. The prople working there were very nice and helpful!
The shower and all the facets or like the toilet butten were completly rusted, but not old but just not taken care of, like noone cleaned them with a hard brush or something, like ever.. Everything looked nice but it just needed a bit of love.. Also the place is outside so there will be some bugs and little animals crawling in..
The breakfast is very small, two toasts and some fruit..
3.0
Staff were nice and helpful, we got thicker blankets and early breakfast upon request. They also tried to resolve most of the issues we complained about but were not always successful.
Design of room and garden are nice, location wasn't bad either just no ocean view because of trees blocking it.
Saw many iguanas and a raccoon - was like a mini zoo.
Room condition was horrible, taps barely holding in place, drain pipes and toilet were leaking water all over the floor in the bathroom. Most of the pillows had feather in them.
Insane amount of mosquitoes, killed like 50 in our room in 3 days - windows had nets and were always closed so I have no idea where they kept coming from. Also found 2 cockroaches in the bathroom.
AC was working loud like a tractor, could not sleep normally - either heat or noise.
Internet did not work, staff tried to fix it but were unable to do it.
4.5
location quiet and next to the beach ,atention, nice place.
no chair in the room or patio
4.0
very well located, close to the beach and the 5th Avenue
the accommodation is not THE BEST, it’s a very simple room, not modern at all, but it’s doable

Very helpfull staff, nice, quiet accomodation, near to the downtown

Location.
Breakfast area.
The style.
Very nice bed (and very clean sheets)
Horrible maintenance.
Dirty bathroom (blood and hair everywhere).
The place has potential but it needs basic maintenance (plumbing issues)
4.5
Cosy vibes, and the huts are cool
3.0
Great location - beach & centre easy to reach
Decent size room & bathroom
Lots of lovely shrubs & trees in garden area
Member of staff gave me a cheap rate for 4th night in view of all the problems experienced which was nice.
No water on arrival & again 2 days later
Room was cleaned only once in 4 days
Breakfast was a bit hit & miss
Pool was always half full
Really feel this could be a great hotel but didn't appear to be well managed. There was an air of neglect about the place which was a shame.
3.5
Location. Close to 5th Ave. but away from the noise. Proximity to public beach access.
Facilities need update. the ground by the pool as well as the pool needs repair.
4.5
the place was very cute with the good vibe. The location was fantastic.
water pressure was very weak, so #2 was not flushed
