View from the property and property location on farm
Wifi worked 60% of the time

Lovely quiet location. Good for exploring the southern lakes and other attractions in the area. A couple of walks from the farm included in the information pack, including one down to Broughton in Furness with it's lovely square. There is a shared lawn to the back of the property with plenty of benches.
Jean and Claire helped us out when we realised we had not packed some items, for which we were very grateful.
The 1/4 mile drive is a bit rough and it's wise not to rush up and down it, but select a path of least pot holes. This can be done.

The accommodation and view.

Fantastic views and wonderful walks from the property itself

Beautiful Barn conversion, very clean and in a beautiful location.

Excellent property perfect for what we wanted

If you want scenery and open fields in a secluded location this is a great cottage to stay in (for Woodmans three bedrooms).
It was a nuisance that the Wi-Fi kept on failing "connected but couldn't configure IP" for some hours. This needs fixing/upgrading, as most mobile phone signals will not be available here.
If you have a small front wheel drive car watch out for the couple of steep hairpin bends on the way up the farm drive with the loose gravel.
Double bed mattress was slightly small and uncomfortable, if you are two large persons.

Homely touches and very clean. Lots of information available about accommodation and local area. Friendly welcome and quick response to questions. Would definitely stay again. 😁

Tha log cabin (larch ) was beautifully furnished, spotless ,spacious but cozy to with the log burner. The view from the cabin is amazing and so tranquil .Fabulous will definitely be returning !

On arrival it was just perfect, so quiet with breathtaking scenery, The Stable Cottage had everything we needed, there was lots of walks and places to visit within easy reach by car.... We recommend The Black Cock pub in Broughton in Furness, hospitality and food were amazing and there is also a lovely walk along the old unused railway there too.
Only one small thing we would say with the Stable Cottage is maybe better lighting over the sink area in the bathroom for shaving

very clean and very nice cottage. perfect for a family. everything you need is provided.
4.7
everything ! the location, the views the facilities .just a really great place to stay
nothing negative to say

How remote it was, totally able to switch of and enjoy all scenery, the cottage had everything you needed for a stay and would totally recommend and definitely will be back
Cannot say answer that as there is nothing we didnt like

Very scenic location, loved seeing the lambs in the field from our kitchen window every morning. Cottage was of a high spec and very handy to have a dishwasher with dishwasher tabs provided. Comfy sofa and just about everything you need utensil wise in the kitchen. The bed was incredibly comfy and furniture of good quality. Spacious bathroom and decent shower as well. Nice local walk starting from the cottage as well which we did a couple of times.
Would have been good to have a handle on the bedroom balcony window/door to pull it open. Think the wood has expanded with the heat so very tight to try and pull open.
4.7
The property was exceptionally clean with all the facilities you may need for your stay.
nothing! it was perfect.

Good location, nice property and neat & clean
Non availability of bath towels and other essential low value consumables such as salt, pepper, etc irritating... personal touch of the host lacking... not value for money

The accommodation was outstanding. Location was beautiful and the log fire was amazing. Also the bath was brilliant. I liked that logs were provided for the fire and kitchen utensils and everything provided. There was even a box of games which was brilliant and kept us entertained.

The cabin is in an excellent location, tucked miles away from civilisation. I loved being able to stick the log burner on each evening and kick back and relax after a day's adventure. The cabin was bigger inside than I imagined and the kitchen was excellent.
If you are travelling there by bike then be aware that it is uphill in every direction.......everywhere is uphill! I would have liked some more down hills :D. On a serious note though, I don't think there is anything I could have faulted.

Ideal location to disconnect from the busyness of life. Lovely host and beautiful walks all around. Within 75 minutes of all major mountains and 25 minutes from a Tesco's superstore. A nice big modern TV for wintery days and decent enough WiFi to be able to steam Netflix till your heart's content. Clean and comfy beds with plenty of space to unpack. Lovely shower and all nicely layed out. Plenty of kitchen appliances and a dishwasher. Especially including the price the Blacksmith apartment is incredible and will definitely be first choice for my next visit. ideal for a 5-7 day getaway. The definition of a 10/10 getaway apartment.
There are no "deal breakers" or anything, even without factoring in the price it's hard to complain, just a couple things most should already know but will cover. The driveway is a little bumpy but even in a small car we were fine. If you are still worried about the driveway, well unless you are driving a Ferrari or a slammed car you are going to be fine. The only thing I could think of to improve the apartment would be a washing machine, for longer trips it could be a factor. But again, all of this is nit picking. It was a 10/10

Everything was great, cosy and has everything you need
As others have said access road to property is pretty rough if you have a lower/standard car

Everything - well equipped, clean, beautifully appointed. A really great place to stay.
Nothing - it is all lovely!

Walks from the door including a couple described on a laminated sheet we could take out for the day. Stable Cottage was quite spacious for two people. Well equipped kitchen area. Owners on hand and in touch by email if needed, although we had no problems.
No towels are provided and we confess we had missed whatever small print stated this. Fortunately we received an email reminding us we needed to bring them a few days before we arrived. Unfortunately our 3-night stay was late in a two week trip and we had already left home so we had to buy some. We travel a lot, both in the UK and abroad, mainly self-catering, and it is years since we have stayed anywhere that did not provide them!
Narrow spiral staircase to reach bedroom/bathroom which is not evident from the photos. We are late 60s and coped (with care) so it didn’t spoil our enjoyment of the cottage too much. But it could be an unexpected problem for some.
