Quiet and safe place to stay in Gigiri

The rooms at China Garden are tucked behind a popular and busy restaurant on UN Avenue in Gigiri. They are quiet and safe and perfect for short business trips involving meetings at the UN campus. Breakfast is a takeaway order from Java House, and was delivered hot and on time.

The Wi-Fi was not reliable.

Excellent service for a good price

Location was excellent for my needs, is in front of UNON where I needed to go for work. The price is really good according to the service that you get and personnel is really kind and attentive to your needs.

The staff was really nice, available and dedicated to making my stay as pleasant as possible.

The lack of lobby / breakfast room, which means you are either in your room or outside of the hotel (for breakfast or to work on a computer for example). But you know it when you book so nothing to complain about really.

Next time I'd select another hotel. Even for 1-2 nights

This is not my first stay in China Garden, and I'd say that the only advantage of this place is it's location - just in front of the UN Compound. Ah, and this time the breakfast was delivered from Java Cafe and it was nice. Although I was woken up by the hotel staff to get it (there was no prior notification on breakfast time).

I was staying in this hotel several times in the past and it was never one of the best or even ok ones. Location is the only advantage, close to the UN. For 1-2 nights if you're not planning to stay in the hotel/room it's ok although very pricey. Not for longer. The facilities are old and haven't been renovated for many years (I haven't noticed any difference since at least 8 years), there are holes in the mosquito net, no hot water on my 1st day, and quite noisy

As I am not too choosy on food I could say that the expreience of living in this hotel is good.

Location is excellent, close to my work place. Internet connection and speed is great. Staff is helpful, cheerful and nice.

Breakfast: there is not much choice. It took a long time to have breakfast. If I will live in this hotel again I will ask to exclude breakfast from the hotel package
