The room is big.
The owner is a very Kind person.
The neighbourhood is very quite.
I think because of the price worth much more to rent a room in a hostal with share toilet.
Bin had trash from previous people.
Furniture had dust (accumulated for a week I would say)
There is just one plug the mobile (in the entrance of the room - not in bedside table)
The time to do check in and do check out are very, very uncomfortable (from 15hrs to 18hrs and at 8am respectively)

It's proximity to Turmstr with all the shops there is lovely and it's close to Underground station.
The caretaker is also professional
It's unclean. The bedsheets and pillow covers were covered in hair from the last occupant before I came. I had to go buy new ones to use as there was no available space in other hotels close by.
The price of 50€ for a night is too expensive as you just get a bed and the bathroom. Room is never cleaned. The towels offered are old and worn out.
The things in the room are so unkept the curtains were as brown as anything and very dusty. I was grateful I survived that long without getting sick.
It's wrong to call this place a hotel. It's more of a brothel with a bed and bathroom. Everything you'll need to bring yourself.

The place was clean. The water was warm. There was TV that was working, clean sheets. Thanks for that.
The stay requires deposit for keys and even for using internet. The heater was turned off after 10 or 11 pm and it was really cold outside (-2) - but as I decided to sleep there was not much an issue. There was a lot of noise in the neighboring room.

This is not a hotel, a private house rented in a rude way. The check-in is the most akward check-in I ever had. You need to ring at hotel door, the owner is coming outside of building which supose to be the hotel and walk you at a different door where there is some rooms.
The owner, or whoever is the guy who open the door, is very rude. The check-in is strictly between 3 and 5 pm. I arrived earlier and i ask at least to hold my luggage, he said is not possible. I said then, if is not possible, cancel my booking if i am not welcomed here, I will not pay a cent. With a artistic face he took my luggage and held it for an hour.
He will ask for a 20 euros deposit, for keys, even if on the hotel description there is no such thing. Also, all payments are cash and cash only. He will say this over and over again. Because i had flight monday at 4 am, and the checkout is strictly between 8 am and 10 am, I had to give him the keys the night before at 10 PM, so i was actually prisoned in the room which i pay'd.
I book a room with a king size bed, and actually they put bedsheet only for one person half of matress (the other half of bed no sheets, pilow or duvet). There is no extra pillows or blankets and is really cold during night time.
Also, the walls are so thin, all night i heard neighbour's snoring. Is a cheaper hotel, but with all this remarks I made a bad choice saving couples of bucks.

only that it is in a quiet place and the price was ok for the room.
I have not ever seen such disgusting service. First, check in is 15:00 which is really too late. when we came to hotel, the owner (servant) even not allowed us to enter to reception if he had, he took our baggage not allowing us to enter, we stayed outdoors. and when we asked if we could locate earlier he said it is impossible. when we was leaving, we asked again if we can keep our baggage in hotel in order not to take them everywhere with us, cause check out was at 10 and our flight was at 20:00. he said that again it is impossible. the terrible service that i have ever seen in hotels. would not recommend to anybody who wants to relax and not be down and stressed. ☹️

Hotel Garni Aaberna has very good internet connection. So I was able to do skype calls. Also hotel is close to underground and stars like Lidl.

Good location, underground station 3 mins walk away. There are also some liqueur stores (späti) and restaurants in the vicinity including one late night kebab shop. The city center is reachable in 20 mins easily. The accommodation is very basic but absolutely fair for this price. The room was clean, including the bed sheets and the towel. There is also a sink and television in the room. The shared bathroom was clean too and had fairly hot water for a nice shower. It was shared with two other rooms and was usually not busy. The night was cold and heating was already switched on in the property in late September which was a pleasant surprise.
This place is rather a hostel than a hotel with no facilities or additional services whatsoever. I think it is not really suitable for this reason for long stays but worked perfectly for me for a one night stay over. The walls are also rather thin and sound isolation is poor. It was quiet when I was there with no noisy neighbors but I can imagine it could turn into a bad experience if one is not lucky with the other people staying at the hostel. I didn't use the wifi but if I understood correctly one has to pay extra for it.
There is a 20 EUR deposit for the key which is rather unusual but of course not unheard of. However, this complicates early checkout and the pay back of deposit before 8 when staff is not yet at the reception.
Card payment is not possible but in Germany this is rather common.

I booked this hotel for me and my dog one month before travel.
I sent email to confirm my booking and asked about dog to be sure. In the description I saw “Pets allowed”.
I didn’t receive answer.
But on the day of arrival I received a call with a refusal because of the dog.
Do not recommend this hotel!

surprise - payment only by cash directly after arrival, very strange welcome - not entering the reception room.

Creepy guy that doesn’t know what privacy is run’s this place. He was knocking on us 30 minutes before the check out to inform us that we should leave. And literally was watching every move we did a bit weird.
