Beautiful cottage in a very charming location. Will definitely return for another stay.

Beautifully renovated cottage with everything you need for a lovely few days. Very comfortable and cosy, the games room a great addition! Very communicative and easy to reach host. i would highly recommend a visit!

Some issues with the shower water not draining, but sure how much of that is down to local drains. otherwise it was perfect : )

Good size property

Property size was great

Charge for the pool table etc. We didn’t realise until we got there although it does say on booking.com. The beds in one of the twin rooms are very wobbly. Empty shower gel bottles in the master bathroom, luckily we took our own.

A weekend away for a golden wedding celebration - Smithy House gave us the opportunity to just be together in a beautifu

The space to socialise, this beautiful property provides perfect opportunity to just be together whilst also allowing for space to have some time to yourself if wished. The games room was such a great experience for our family, all ages playing together, and the kitchen table just perfect. A lovely quiet setting which was wonderfully maintained.

Perfect for our family gathering

So spacious and un-cramped. Each bedroom was a really good size and the doors all opened and closed really quietly, ha ha...but I really noticed that. Plenty of seating and a lovely big dining table with great benches ( i thought I wouldn't like sitting at a bench but I did!) We had a wheelchair user in the party and there was ample space for them and the ensuite shower room was a very good size. Not adapted.

We left a few suggestions in the book provided and it is clear that the owner reads and responds to everything...which is great. Not much to dislike, just a few suggestions really.

Superb

A beautiful spacious property that had something for all the family. The grandchildren loved it. Away for my husbands 60th also my sons birthday. A lovely weekend all in all. Has all the amenities you could wish for in a property which was excellent.

FAMILY EVENT

We had a wonderful time at the location. The facilities were excellent plenty of space in the house to move around plenty of equipment.

Could have done with a bathroom. Upstairs we had to disturb the family sleeping during the night to use the facilities

Stunning house and great facilities

No mat at inside of front door. Stones coming into the house from outside that was ruining the wooden floor that was evident throughout the property. However we took our shoes off at all times. Outside porch would solve this.. Stunning property shame to see it ruined.

Fantastic stay

loved everything about the property but particularly the amount of living space

There was nothing I didn’t like, the house was perfect, would return and definitely recommend to others. Only negative thing I could say is the house maybe just needs a bit more attention paid when cleaning, there were quite a few cobwebs in higher areas of the house and there quite a bit of hair on the bathroom floor on arrival. I believe it’s not the owners that are responsible for the cleaning.

Great lay out of rooms and the games room was a great bonus

Only thing I found fault with is you should let people know that the pool table etc is not free, if I had known cost of the games I could have brought plenty £1 coins.

Very good

The house was really nice, clean and comfortable. We had children and dogs with us so was really good that we could close off the garden to make it secure.

The games room has a pool table, however you were charged £1 per game to play. The fee for bringing dogs also was quite high at £50 per dog.

fantastic location for a family event coupled with the peaceful surrounds of a quiet village

overall the space was ideal for a group socialising both indoors and out, large enclosed garden, superb games room, well equipped kitchen.

A peaceful and relaxing break in quiet surroundings and lovely garden and excellent parking facility

Breakfast N/A. Location -excellent. Attention to details for provision of facilities, cookware, peaceful location and privacy. Warn property and lovely wood stove. very helpful owners.

Prefer non animal property because difficult to tell where animals have been and what items in the property and furniture has been used by animals.

Very comfortable, plenty of appliances available for most daily needs as well as the cleanliness of the home

The WiFi only worked in some rooms and the games room didn't accept anything other than pound coins despite the visitor book stating otherwise

Superb

The house was very comfortable and the area quiet. We enjoyed walking the dog, were able to sit in the garden and have a barbecue and just enjoy the surroundings. We had a fabulous day at Lunan Bay.

There is no bathroom facilities upstairs, however, the house is very old and has been tastefully renovated and we understand the position.
