Very good

Pool was great, two pools and a slide between the two was a bonus. Quiet room, sea in front, nice decor with tree logs.

Room cleaning was once every 2 days, but did not get done once in our 4 days.

We had a room for 3 people, spacious, clean and comfortable. The pool was clean contrary to the previous comment. The reception girl was a little cold (when we arrived) but I think it's the personality of the person because infact she is super nice.

The staff were so helpful when we had an issue with our bike. Set in a lovely location with great views over two of the pools

It is located quite a bit away from everywhere and you would definitely need a scooter or taxis to get about. Our room was basic but the door didn't close completely and to lock it you used a padlock. In our bathroom there was a weird stone/gravel through it/ in the middle of it.

One staff member was incredibly rude and aggressive. Run down hotel.

The view from the room was nice. There’s a man working here who helped us with our bags who is super smiley and pleasant. The hotel is close to the main town.

The main two receptionists are pleasant and professional. Unfortunately, a lady from the restaurant checked us in and ruined our stay. The treatment we received from her was genuinely shocking: - This staff member tried to charge us 50% more of the total price of our booking (1500 baht more) and argued aggressively with us when we pointed this out. She then refused to complete the transaction rather than recalculate. - Staff member gave us a receipt for the 1000 baht deposit which stated our deposit had already been returned to us!! She initially refused to issue a new receipt, shouting loudly at us when we insisted. - Staff member said directly to us “you people are stupid”. - Staff member complained loudly *about us* to other guests that were waiting to talk to her… in front of us. - Staff member did not give us a key to our room. It was absolutely mad! We couldn’t believe what was happening and how we were being treated for literally no reason. The result was that we were so uncomfortable at the hotel that we didn’t eat in the restaurant once. I did walk past the pool on the first day but didn’t want to be around the restaurant/upper pool area incase the staff member was there. If every other hotel near the pier wasn’t booked up, there’s absolutely no way we would have stayed there. I am not a fussy guest but the room itself was not good value for the price and did not look like the pictures online. Not very clean, musty smelling, broken doors. Needs a bit of TLC.

Very good

The staff were lovely, food at the restaurant was good, our family room had everything we needed. It felt like Thailand from many years ago, which we loved. Had a washing machine and dryer you could use for a fee. We had our own transport which I would recommend.

An Ok stay but we won't be back

Food in the restaurant was ok. Big room with a great view. Tv, a desk and a balcony. Pool with a slide. Shower was good. In a quiet area

Staff were standoffish. Metal stairs to our room were about to collapse, definitely a hazard, completely rusted through and buckled under your weight. No cleaning in over a week (sheets and towels were the same) WiFi was non existent. Bed was quite uncomfortable ( we usually like hard beds). Relatively expensive for what you get. Random rubbish around the hottel.

this place is clean, and the staff is really nice and helpful. a quite and cozy place to stay.

it is a 30min walk to the attractions, the most restaurants and so on. but they rent out scooters at the resort for a good prize and that’s how everyone is moving on this island anyway 😊

Hin Kong is a wonderful area to stay for yoga, vegan food and cool hangouts.

I liked the room and the view very much. It’s a lovely older resort and built solidly. The big swimming pool was empty and in disrepair but this comes after the Pandemic so very understandable. There was a smaller pool. It is good value as the breakfast seemed great with many choices.

I would have appreciated a kettle so I could make tea in the morning.

Superb

Very peaceful location with an incredible beach and view area. The hotel staff especially the lady on reception were fantastic and couldn't do enough for you. Also they have their own taxis and can get you anywhere on the island in no time.

Not exactly a negative but Being that it's in the middle of the jungle it comes with quite a bit of wildlife especially Ants.

Avoid at all cost

value for money

well to be fair, when you look at the pictures it’s not like the reality. The maintenance of the hotel is incredibly poor. The water of the pool is just disgusting and would clearly deserve some cleaning. Same goes for the bottom of the pool that is just green because of a lack of maintenance. Additionally, during our three nights, they didn’t clean the room once. That’s because of their one hour cleaning window policy that they apply early in the morning when everyone is still sleeping of course.. they’ll nock slightly on your door and if you’re still in the room they just won’t clean your room. Another misadventure was the use of their green slide. I went on it and it tainted my swim shorts which ruined them. When I confronted the reception, they just wouldn’t take some kind of responsibility. They just blamed it on the hotel and generously offered me some soap to clean it. Of course that didn’t work out, so watch out for that slide😅 for the rest great food and a super friendly staff, except for the one at the reception that could use some hospitality courses.
