Just back from a wonderful week staying at this amazing house, everything in the house you could possibly need and the views are fantastic from both balconies, loved the upside down lay out of the house, fantastic communication from Claire the owner and a lovely touch with a gift of cava and chocolates. Highly recommend and would love to come back!

What a beautiful place to set up home for the week. As soon as we opened the door we could smell and see how clean and well looked after it was. The house itself has a great lay out, with lovely views at either end from the balconies. The location is perfect. We loved it very much and plan to return

The property was lovely and tastefully decorated. It had what we needed and more. The views and proximity of the property surpassed our expectations. We enjoyed exploring Norfolk and all it had to offer, but also loved relaxing in the house as the views were lovely. Spent hours watching boats coming and going in the evenings. We also saw so much wildlife, such as deer, herons and birds of prey. Loved every minute of our stay.

What a fantastic property. The owners have thought of everything. By far the best accommodation we have stayed in. The upside down layout makes the most of the beautiful location, with the views from both balconies fantastic. Although the weather was a little mixed it was nice to simply sit and look out over the river. Far exceeded our expectations.

We have had many holidays at this lovely home and, once again, it did not disappoint. We had a great week with wonderful weather. Southwood is in a great position to explore the broads. Looking forward to our next holiday here in July! Can't wait!

What a lovely property this is and the location couldnt have been better for us. We were visting family along with celebrating a 90th birthday and this was a lovely place to do it. The views were brilliant even on a soggy day. The property was lovely and clean and the beds very comfortable. We had family over for a meal and the fully equipped kitchen provided all that was necessary to prepare a roast dinner for the 7 of us. A gift of chocolates and bubbly along with a beautiful card was left for our 90yr old mother who was absolutely delighted! What a very thoughtful thing to do and very much appreciated. Thank you for a super weekend.

This property is ideal for a family group visiting the Broads and surrounding area. The house is beautifully decorated and well provisioned, the beds are very comfortable and the views of the river and the boatyards are fantastic. Horning is an archetypical broadband village with pubs, cafes and small shops. You can easily get into Stalham or Wroxham if you need a little more, or Norwich if you want “the big city”. Communication with Claire was great - clear and very helpful - we’d highly recommend this property.

We have stayed at this wonderful home many times now. It is in a great location and there is everything there that you need. Some of our family joined us for the weekend. This house is very conveniently situated for enjoying the Norfolk Broads area.

The property is set in a lovely location and has everything you will need to enjoy a comfortable stay. Lots of extras to make it a home from home. It is easily accessible to travel around the Norfolk area or sit and enjoy the view from the veranda watching the boats or the heron. Horning village is a short stroll with various eateries etc.
Unfortunately not such a quiet two weeks due to maintenance behind the property and the rear garden water is not really for fishing due to weed but thats not the fault of the owners. We all had a lovely stay and it is so bright and spacious. Highly recomend. Claire was really helpful and replies quickly. Thankyou.

We have enjoyed yet another great holiday in this lovely house in an idyllic setting on the Norfolk Broads. Our only problem was that our 2 week stay went far too quickly!

The house was beautiful as advertised. Very comfortable and amazing balconies to sit and enjoy view from both sides of the property. The house was easy to find and the check in and out process very easy too. Very near the village and a great base to explore Norfolk. The Bure restaurant and Galley Deli in the village both deserve a special mention as they were excellent. Bure for dinner and Galley for breakfast and lunch and its gift shop too. All in all I would definitely recommend this property to anyone wishing to visit the area.

Despite the unusually cool weather for early June (12 degrees for some days) we very much enjoyed our 5th visit to South Wood in Horning
We found the house clean and well equipped (as previously) and ideally located for trips to our favourite places in the area.
We look forward to (hopefully) making our 6th visit to South Wood next year.

A really great property that came with everything you could want in a holiday home. It was so peaceful and quiet but also within walking distance of the local village which had a couple of lovely pubs. The whole property was exceptionally clean and came fully supplied with towels, soaps, cleaning equipment and included a lovely coffee machine. It was so nice having a morning coffee on the balcony looking out over the river and harbour. We would love to stay here again.

We were impressed by the advert and it was as good as it looked. The place was spotless, had everything you could possibly want. Comfortable furniture and beds with lots to see out windows front and back. A nice bottle of prosecco and biscuits on arrival. It is in a lovely position for travelling around can get to Norwich, Gorleston, Great Yarmouth, Cromer and places within a short drive. Would highly recommend

This is our second time staying at South Wood. It is simply a home from home and so relaxing. It’s location is wonderful with views over the Broads at Horning. It’s within walking distance of three pubs (highly recommend The Swan) and other amazing places to eat. If you have children head to Bewilderwood, less than 5 mins away and Horsey Gap (25 mins away by car) where you will see seals all year round. There were over 100 on the beach when we visited recently.

Lovely location overlooking the river with its varied boating activities and the Horning boat club. Well equipped accommodation, comfortable beds, towels. Amenities such as toilet rolls, coffee pods, dishwasher tablets all provided. Well designed with open plan living upstairs with 2 balconies one designed for meals facing the river.
