Lovely hotel, clean rooms and great location in city centre
Booked a double bed room, got two beds separate, when I raised with staff, the solution was to push together. Uncomfortable nights sleep with gap in the middle of beds. Staff at reception unhelpful when I complained and no offer to change rooms to a room with actual double bed like I paid for. Complaint sent to hotel by email and ignored.
Very poor from a so called 5* hotel

Nice hotel, great location. Food good quality. Service in Cafe Bar not 5 star - disappointing.
4.3
Room was spacious and clean
We waited a long time to place an order in the observatory bar and it was impossible to get staff attention, other tables seated after us ordered before us so we left. We then went to order a taxi and the 2 staff members proceeded to chat to each other and one of them walked off and neither of them acknowledged us or the queue behind us. Staff/service is lacking alot.

Superb location and a modern, well equipped hotel
Whilst we understand all businesses are impacted with increased costs, one expects comfort and some degree of luxury at Grand Central. However, the room was not merely cool, it was actually cold - and remained that way for the duration of the stay. Can you imagine being so cold that it requires wearing an overcoat over a suit whilst having video calls? I thought perhaps this was just my room but, using i heard other guests complaining about how cold the hotel was and the bedrooms in particular.
Whilst the water in the shower was hot, wash hand basin water was cool - too cool for shaving...not sure how this is even possible. One of the complimentary bottles of water at the bedside was opened and partially used. I stop once per week in Belfast, not sure i would use this property again - though i use Europa and Stormont on a regular basis.
I thought I would drop a short note to the GM in advance of posting this review. A few weeks later, I have had no response.

Lovely building, inside great, rooms as standard are lovely as was deluxe. Staff is very friendly, helpful, and pleasant.
The reception supervisor Ciara was extremely helpful, but we were still disappointed with our stay.
Our 1st room was very poor, the bed made up terrible, it had a pillow case on with make-up, and it looked very dirty, with hair on toilet, sink, and bed. Got moved, this room the toilet didn't work correctly and the bathroom door didn't close correctly. The breakfast was lovely but sadly cold.

Probably one of the best hotels I’ve stayed out, everything lovely and staff friendly, and breakfast was perfect.

Location

Location. Comfy bed and pillows
Would have liked a small fridge to keep soft drinks cool.

The location was excellent. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. It had an excellent view and was very quiet. What little food I tried was very tasty.
Some issues with housekeeping on a daily basis. Dishes from Room Service left for a couple of days, along with bags of garbage. They did not regularly replace towels or amenities. Dry cleaning was promised as same day delivery provided you called before 7am. Twice I set my alarm to do so and both times it took 48 hours to return.

location
staff rude, didn’t get checked in till 4, room small for a deluxe, shower door horrendous

Very cosy room, food was delicious and staff were very friendly.
Room wasn't ready to check in at 3pm.

Lovely rooms with beautiful views of the city. We were on the 21st floor and the views of the city and water were fantastic. The toiletries provided were very nice. And the built-in nightlights for the bathroom were a huge help. The Grand Central seahorse/rubber ducky was a nice touch. While the drinks in the observatory bar were comically priced, you're paying for the views and they didn't disappoint. You're treating yourself when you stay here and it lives up to many of the expectations.
For the amount of money required for these rooms (I paid £240 a night for what I take to be a standard King Room), I would expect an in room refrigerator (not present), a walk in rain shower (the shower had a rain had but was not very spacious, as there was a separate tub), and perhaps some higher quality slippers with the bathrobes. Also, for what I take to be the premier hotel in the city, I found the lobby quite cramped and aesthetically displeasing. But these are only 'complaints' when compared to other hotels that you pay this much for. In terms of the actual quality of the accommodation, it's first rate.

It was amazing, perfectly presented and even the Lobby was a pleasure to wait in. In the centre of town and can’t get lost because it’s the biggest building with the seahorse. Our room was the nicest I’ve ever stayed in! Have just booked again for July.
No fridge in room, and a dimmer switch for the bathroom would of been lovely for my bath.
