We stayed at this Villa Aug 2019 . We love so much that we come back again. Everything is perfect great location beautiful sunset every night. The villa is clean and safe for our elderly family members. We love hangout at the pool and kitchen.
I promise we will be back again, soon or later.
Thank you to Bryan @Zindis team who help us make our trip more adventure 😀 and Angelina for quick response.

The property had enough room to comfortably accommodate our family gathering of 10: 6 adults and 4 children (ages 8-11). The kids had a blast in the infinity pool and at the pool table. The view of the ocean was spectacular and we sometimes saw coatis on the patio. The trip to the Hermosa beach was doable by foot, but taking a car for the return climb was preferable. The general location was very good with playas Hermosa, Ocotal, and Coco an easy drive. The villa was convenient to restaurants and grocery stores and well equipped with dishes, cooking equipment and supplies for easily making meals.

We loved the views and the pool! It was an amazing place for our group of 9 to hang out before and after our excursions.

We were overall satisfied with our time at Villa Quetzal. The staff at Zindis were professional and courteous. They went over the details of the home clearly with us. The home was comfortable, but we had a few things that we noticed that were slightly frustrating. First, the wifi connection was incredibly slow, so doing research on activities became a challenge. Second, the sheets and pillows did not seem overly clean. The washer and dryer could probably use an update. There was a broken chair in the living room that we avoided, and none of our gate fobs worked the entire time we were staying at the home.
On the plus side, we felt very safe at the location, and the views were unmatched. The fridge had ample room, and it was nice that there were amenities in the kitchen that we were able to use.

We had a great visit. Home worked perfectly for two families of four. We could have easily fit 2 more. Views and security were top notch. The house is in a gated community with a guard to let you both in and out. The house has its own security system. In June, we were not able to see sunsets due to cloud cover and rain. The views of Playa Hermosa are truly beautiful. The beds were not super comfortable but not too bad. There is a lot of nature though. A coati came to visit the pool deck while we we were by the pool. Raccoons were on the patio early morning. We had a small scorpion and geckos in the house the first night. We kept the doors and windows closed and had no more unwelcomed guests. We saw several birds and monkeys. Staff was efficient in replacing the broken washing machine within a few days. AC is refreshing after the heat. Showers had good water pressure and hot water. Lots of towels and beach towels. It’s a steep walk back from the beach but lots of trees, birds and maybe a monkey to see along the way. Zindis hosts were very responsive. They booked us several excursions and saved us money booking through them. We went to Diamante and saw toucans, sloths, monkeys , jaguars. Made chocolate, ziplined, and went to a private beach to relax in hammocks. We also hiked to La Leona waterfall. This is a beautiful hike, but it is no joke. You hike, cross rivers, swim to get the waterfall. Both excursions included tasty lunch. You will need a car!

We really enjoyed the property. Incredible view. All around amazing

We loved the location, the pool and the birds. Each evening so many birds would stop by the pool, as the sun sets to get a drink. The parrots, 2 by 2 would fly right over our house, talking to each other to stay the night in the valley behind us. BTW, you can see sunrises from the back of the house, and sunsets from the front over the pool.
The house was big, not super clean, and as everyone has said, the furniture inside and out is uncomfortable. The beds were ok, worn out bedding though. We spent most days at the beach or touring around. Dont walk to the beach, takes less than five minutes to drive to the closest one. No ice maker, no trays, till now we supplied them.
Zindis is excellent, talk to them about activities. Fishing for $100 a person was the best time, caught 5 fish in 4 hours. Recommend.

Overall it was great. Really good space for our extended (3 generation) family. Beautiful pool, secure grounds and excellent property management. House is well used, remains very functional and could benefit from some TLC (needs new dishwasher, was no stovetop fan, doors/locks require some minor maintenance). We had an amazing time and very much enjoyed ourselves.

The view was magnificent. We were able to see birds of all types fly right across the patio. Of course , here's the monkeys in the morning and the evenings and even saw a whale in the ocean from ouur view.
You could walk into town very easily. But the walk up the hill in the heat of the day could be a challenge for some.
The home had plenty of supplies and was very accommodating. The beds were comfortable (firm) but the living room furniture was not so comfortable. This matters less when you spend most of your time on the patio.
The pool was marvelous and was cleaned several times during our stay.

The house is amazing. Clean, bright and has everything you could possibly need. Our house manager Bryan went above and beyond to help us out and make the trip relaxing and easy.
I would recommend a car if you’re staying here. Playa Hermosa is a great little village but there isn’t much there other than a few (great) restaurants and a great beach. Taxis were hard to get and very expensive.

The location, views, and layout of the house are amazing! This was a great place to gather as a family. One suggestion for improvement would be more comfortable seating.

This property was nice and had beautiful views and absolutely the best sunsets I've ever seen.

This property was absolutely perfect and made our vacation "the best of all time" (as quoted by our kids). Gus and Emanuelle were absolutely incredible, so friendly and helpful and just made our stay fun, adventurous and worry-free. This is a must stay!

This house was perfect for our family of 11. We enjoyed morning coffee by the pool and a beautiful sunset every night. Communication with Zindi's was top notch.

We had such a great time at this house on our weeklong trip. Beautiful infinity pool, open concept house, fantastic location on the hillside about a half-mile from the beach. Steep walk down the private community driveway, we didn't try to walk back up! Three restaurant/bars on the beach in Playa Hermosa, all good. We had a van and traveled all over to many beaches, waterfalls, hot springs, four wheelers, zip lines and more. Gus the property manager and Bryan from Zindis tours were both awesome. Only thing to improve upon is for the house to have a few more new beach chairs to take with you. Great vacation, you won't be disappointed!

The experience staying at this beautiful house and views can't be beat. My family of 6, all adults, loved the entire stay. I would rate this trip to Playa Hermosa, Costa Rica a perfect 10. Thanks for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful home.

The views were magnificent. The house was clean and tidy. There were lots of towels and linens; even for a family of 10. Having access to a pool is a must in Costa Rica’s hot climate and this one was amazing. The only thing we all found negative is the echo inside the house. There are not enough pictures on the walls and no curtains on the windows. But overall this is a great property.

Great views, plenary of room, although our group of 10 most hung out on the patio by the pool. My only critique would be to have a knife sharpener available

Perfect find
This house had everything we needed and more. We stayed in Arenal a few nights before and the lack of AC was noticeable. Could not believe the change This house was. AC no bugs beach towels and chairs security. The house was really too big for 4 people but we didn't mind the extra room. The manager was very helpful and showed us everything even gave us map of area which was huge help. We stayed 3 nights and it wasnt long enough. I will definitely be staying here again on our next costa rica adventure.

Perfect vacation home in Playa Hermosa
Look no further! This house is AMAZING! The view, ease of check in-check out, location was all outstanding. The pictures do not do it justice. The house has everything you need! It was hard to leave the house with its amazing view and pool. Lot's of animals too! We will definitely be back!!

Amazing house in Playa Hermosa
We stayed with a party of 6 adults. This home was everything we could have asked for. Spectacular views, clean, well stocked, within walking distance to beach, shops, and restaurants. Many different birds, lizards, iguanas, and even a troop of monkeys came to visit. The sunsets were absolutely stunning! We were sad to leave, and look forward to returning.

What a view!
My wife and I rented this place for the second week of our vacation and loved it. We went on excursions the entire first week, but this place and the view kept us at the house for three days straight. Very relaxing, very quiet and very peaceful. If you can find a better view than the sunset at this place, please let me know so I can go.

Wonderful time in a beautiful location
We loved the house and the pool. Beautiful spot for the sunset each evening. Beds were comfortable, house cool with the air conditioning. ONLY complaint was the dishwasher didn’t wash the dishes well and likely needs servicing or replacement. Small price to pay for such an amazing spot. We would definitely come back!!!

Unparalleled view and pool
While you probably would want to do the 5min drive, rather than walk to the beach, the benefit is having an incredible view from up the steep hill. And you’ll spend much of your time enjoying that view from the terrific pool. The house is nicely laid out and allowed our family group of 8 nice privacy and bathroom options, as well as cooking setup. Only downsides (minor): the Wi-Fi is weak (beware doing your telehealth COVID tests!), and some furniture could use updating. Very kind attentive service from management and Gus, our point person.

Wonderful experience!
The place was so wonderful. The view was amazing. We really enjoyed the home. Our kids ranged from 4-16 years old and there was plenty of room for them to share. There was 11 of us total and it was a good space.

Great Costa Rica house
We had a blast at Villa Quetzal. Communication with Gus and Marilyn was prompt and helpful. The property was as described - great for our group for dining in and lots of pool time.

Superb on all accounts !
The property we stayed at had amazing views, security was always visible, and the house and pool were a wonderful getaway!
Zindis provided great recommendations for Car rental and Chefs at home. The directions and introduction to the property were super easy and personalized. The House Managers were very responsive and provided information quickly when needed.
One thing that would have helped was an information sheet for "In case of Emergency " situations. This province has fires this time of year and we weren't sure what we should do - stay or go, and when. The House manager was very responsive in this situation a came to the house to calm our nerves.
We would use Zindis again and recommend them to anyone looking for a Costa Rica getaway.

Winter comfort and delight for three couples, high above the beach
The photos of this home seemed too good to be true. But they are the real deal. The helpfulness of the Zindis Group, which manages the home for its owners, is also for real. They are pros at providing security, cleanliness, information and everything exactly as listed in the property description.
Except for a boat, - for that they provide a concierge who will be happy to arrange boat trips, and any activities you might want to book while in western Costa Rica. He also arranged for a required covid test, right in the home, before our return to the US.
Our family group loved the location for exploring and for just staying put. The six of us (mom and dad, two grown daughters and their guys) had plenty of room here for both privacy and togetherness.
While you're here, try not to miss experiencing the cool mornings (70 F) and the breezy sunsets from the pool deck. A little bit of heaven in February for folks from the Upper Midwest.

Perfect view in quiet playa hermosa
Two week stay in this wonderful house. Playa Hermosa is a quiet town, well positioned to explore Guancaste or just chill at the beach. House has a great infinity pool to gaze at the sunsets. 4 bedrooms, 6 beds with 4 bathrooms were great for out multi generational family. House is in fates community which always felt 100% safe. Zindis group was great to work with both before and during the trip.

Great Stay in Playa Hermosa
Great place to stay in a quiet and safe gated community. The home and pool show some signs of normal wear, but overall the property was very nice and we would consider staying there again. The general location and proximity to Playa Hermosa and Playas del Coco is a plus.

Beautiful views, spacious home, pool was amazing! Home was very clean, huge floor plan.

Loved the Villa! Very large, private neighborhood and the view is indescribable. Beach and some restaurants are a short drive or walk down the hill. Will miss that view each morning and sunset.

Beautiful property
This location has an amazing view of Playa Hermosa. The sunsets are perfect. The management team also was extremely helpful, especially after I mistakenly left the garage door opener in our rental car!

Great location, beautiful view, and wonderful for families and safe feeling!
Overall very happy with our stay. The house is big and we shared it with three families with small children. Everyone loved the pool and shared living area for hang out and family meals. The house is a great layout for larger groups too with ample sleeping (not on bunk beds or singles). The house itself could use a little care to update it - we had a few leaks and a fridge went out (garage one so no big deal), bathroom mirrors in tough shape - with some of those pieces it'd be a five star place for sure. Hermosa beach is really chill and beautiful and so close to many places, it's definitely a choice location to visit again.

Spectacular
The house is super spacious. 8 family members and plenty of room. The bedrooms were perfect and quiet at night while others were still awake. The sun set is EVERYTHING! The drive to Playa Coco, where we shopped and ate, is very easy. The supermarket is convenient and had everything we needed. The pool table was great for everyone. Brought our own speaker so we could lounge by the pool and play cards at night. I highly recommend this house and we can’t wait to return.
