The staff were friendly and helpful
The location felt rural in the middle of a busy town… overlooking rice fields with visiting monkeys

Gardens. Location.
Location was perfect to food and shopping. Only a short walk to monkey forest. Photo's are old, would be nice if the property showed true photos.
One pool was out of order, the other was green. Gardens are magnificent! Staff are so friendly. Breakfast was included and was beautiful.

the boss is so nice, he takes care of everything, he does not hesitate to ask is what we miss something … the woman who works at the reception is too nice, she helped us to put our things in the room. A big thank you to the whole team . I will come back, we love you, thank you for making our stay very pleasant
all was perfect

The staff was nice and the bed was super comfortable, the room was big and had a balcony. The breakfast is very bad for the quality of the hotel and is not free, and even if it was free I would go somewhere else.. I would recommend anyone to book without breakfast and just go to the restaurants in the area which have very high quality breakfasts.
I booked the room with the bathtub, but the room they provided had a very old bathtub that was not deep and made of rock (completely different from the picture) please inform your guests about this since for me is one of the main factors for choosing this room.

the location and outside area
The bed was very uncomfortable . The toilet was so dirty.

The best thing about this place is the pool which looks out over a gorgeous rice field. The water was clean and well cared for. We also enjoyed spending time on the balcony, which had a nice view. The location was convenient as it is in the heart of Ubud.
The room itself is quite dark and the bamboo walls of our suite were paper thin which meant we heard everything from the occupants beneath us and music late into the night from surrounding bars.

Cendana is an oasis in the heart of Ubud. It was very close to the main attraction points. The garden is very beautiful and the room was spacious and very comfortable.
We had to change the room two times before being offered a room that didn’t smell like mold. We appreciated the flexibility of the staff and in the end we received a good room.

great location, friendly staff. great value for money.

Next door there is a club that plays super loud music from 8pm to 2am
3.0
The location is nice. In the centre and also of the road. Although in the evening when the bars and dancings are open, you can hear the music all over the resort. The garden is nicely kept and beautiful. The rooms are big as the bathroom.
The bathroom is outdated. There is a separate shower, but it has no hot water. So you need to shower en wash your hair in the bath tub.

The hotel gardens are magnificent and the location is fantastic. The Luxury rooms are good value and the simple, tasty breakfast is part of that value!
I had mistakenly booked Superior Rooms instead of the Luxury ones I wanted. The hotel was too full for us to upgrade both rooms so we chose to remain where we were. The Superior rooms are dark and aged. Simple improvements would refresh the rooms (eg new lace curtains/curtains). We had an issue with an old malfunctioning toilet and the aircon in the second room struggled to provide cool air.

Location, centre of Ubud
Two large swimming pools
Friendly and helpful staff
Beds were amazingly comfortable
Very Spacious Rooms
Loud music from the nearby CP Lounge on the first night, staff very helpful to move us to a quieter part of the resort - Not an issue from then
Water pressure in shower was poor

The breakfast buffet was very versatile. The best were the green banana pancakes made without chemicals. The vegetable omelet was excellent, the bacon crispy.
There was Indonesian food, some typical Balinese breakfast like black sticky rice pudding with coconut milk and sago pearls or green soy bean with coconut sugar and milk.
The butter rice was yummy and so was the fried rice and noodles. Everyday there was a surprise like cheese jaffles, battered eggplant or stir fry vegetables. Unfortunately after the Corona pandemic became worse, they stopped and the a la carte menue was still great but with less variety.
The rooms were big, our Deluxe room was spacious with a huge bathroom with rain shower and bath tub. The garden was well-maintained and I enjoyed sitting on the terrace looking at the beautiful infinity swimming pool with Balinese statues spewing water into the pool. When you swim, you can enjoy the rice terraces behind the pool.
The roomboys were attentive and accurate, the reception and restaurant staff OK but not great. Overall, the energy in the garden hotel was great and every day they put holy flowers all over the place. The staff also teaches you to make offering little baskets from young coconut leaves.
The rooms were not well insulated and you will hear your neighbours, especially when they were loud

just a clean room
Music from bar behind the hotel was terribly loud all the night. It’s just impossible to relax and sleep. After the rain started at night, the roof leaked and cold drops from the ceiling was dripping at me all the night long.
Do not stay at this hotel. Never.
