Accomodation and pub - comfort, service, staff and food excellent

Room with entrance to outdoors direct. Parking right in front. On grounds of a fabulous pub where we had terrific evening meal and breakfast

We had rooms 1 & 2. 2 was perfect but in 1, slight odour in bathroom.

Loved it !

Very good warm comfortable clean accommodation and excellent quality Breakfast with a good choice of dishes ! Friendly and welcoming Host and Staff.

No effective soundproof between rooms, So beware ! Great walk-in shower but Hot/cold handle awkward to adjust for "mature hands" No comments on location as it was a night stop ! But very useful as just of M1 at Loughborough exit

A little gem outside of Loughborough. Perfect for visiting the area.

I had booked two rooms. one for my brother and one for myself. The rooms were very clean. Beds were extremely comfortable. The staff were friendly. The food at The Horse was exceptional. The bathroom in the superior room was huge with a lovely power shower.

The downstairs room was smaller than expected.

Pleasantly surprised - good value for money

Room was well-appointed - really comfortable bed, TV was easy to use and the coffee machine was a nice touch. Shower was excellent - powerful, hot and a choice of hand-held or 'rainfall'. The pub provided a nice environment to have a drink before/after going out for the evening. The room was far enough from the pub to avoid any noise.

The pillows were not quite the same standard as the mattress, although I am being probably being picky. It is a little further out from Loughborough than our previous stays (visiting our daughter at the university), so she could not get out to us without a car.

Excellent, very comfortable

Comfortable accommodation situated in the grounds of the pub - far enough away not to be disturbed by noise, close enough to enjoy their great food. Excellent breakfast and really friendly staff. We had a great stay.

Not really a dislike but just for info to other travellers that orders were taken for dinner at the pub until 8pm, so worth phoning ahead or finding an alternative option if you are going to be arriving later than 8pm.

Fantastic breakfast and lovely, comfy bed

Lovely big room. Had a free upgrade on arrival! Excellent customer service, such a friendly lady who checked me in. Shower was AMAZING. Comfy big bed. Lots of parking. Delicious breakfast.

Only a small thing which I mentioned on checkout, the tv sound was weird (funny under chatter). But didn’t spoil my stay at all.

a very good overnight stay in a convenient location.

very convenient for our family visit. Room was warm, bed comfortable, and shower excellent. Provided coffee machine. There was a fridge which would have been useful for a longer stay, particularly in warm weather. Plenty of car parking. Excellent breakfast, served by very pleasant lady, in beautifully decorated Christmas themed dining room

Room was rather small, but not a real problem. Short of shelving in bathroom, so nowhere to put make up. Could have done with a hook behind the bathroom door, to hang clothes when showering.

Very happy travellers

The room was very clean, bed was comfortable, shower was fantastic ! Breakfast was filling, we recommend the full English and the waffles We had food in the pub and it was beautiful, staff were very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be coming back

A very comfortable stay and value for money

The Horse was easy to find and the room was clean and very comfortable and a great shower.. The breakfast choices were excellent and beautifully cooked and presented. We would certainly come again.

One of the best short breaks that we have ever had. Certainly all the staff were fabulous at all times. Well done staff.

All the facilities in the room was great for our short break.

Very picky, the tap on the basin in the shower/ toilet room it was very easy to overshoot with water onto the floor.

Lovely accommodation and good food at the pub. Breakfast cooked to order which always scores well with me. Staff very helpful.

Being picky, the tv remote would have benefitted from new batteries.

Great rooms and delicious breakfast.

There was a slight confusion from staff on checking in, and arriving at breakfast but this was soon sorted and everyone was friendly. Great room and delicious breakfast.

Good choice for an overnight stay. Not hard to find.

The room was small but well appointed and more than enough for our overnight stay. We ate dinner at The Horse and the food and service were very good. Breakfast was delicious. I had the waffle with streaky bacon and maple syrup - really good!!

Very fresh and clean. Lovely decoration and nice and spacious.

The breakfast was only available after 8.30 which was a little inconvenience as we needed to leave at 8. So we had to miss it. Would have been nice to have been offered an alternative.

Excellent stay, friendly staff and quality food.

What a lovely and peaceful place to stay. Staff were super friendly and helpful, room was cosy and comfortable with everything required including a coffee machine! And the food… just amazing, breakfast plentiful and delicious. I’ve stayed in many places and sometimes the advertising and reviews are overrated but this wasn’t the case here, thank you to everyone I really enjoyed my stay.

Nothing major at all only tiny stuff if I was to be picky but I won’t, it was amazing and value for money.

This is the best value for your money anywhere in the Shepshed area, you will not be disappointed.

The breakfast was amazing, as was all of the food at the restaurant and pub affiliated with The Barn. Mr. Joynes has gone out of his way to establish an excellent B&B. Jody & Cerys, the staff, are amazing! They go out of their way to ensure your stay is special. I can't say enough good things about this establishment, the staff and the food served at the pub.

The location was perfect for us as we were visiting Donington Park. Staff were very helpful and friendly making our stay very comfortable. Food was super-homemade pizza/breakfast was perfect. A very relaxed, friendly atmosphere.

Friendly staff, outstanding faci

Lovely spacious room, with great facilities!! Large desk area and extra chairs in room, a proper coffee machine, a small fridge, iron and ironing board and huge bathroom, with a lovely big double shower. Food in restaurant is excellent and breakfast is first class!!
