About this house rental
Waters Fall is a remarkable mountain home located in the Hound Ears resort community, just minutes from Blowing Rock, Boone, and Historic Valle Crucis, however, you may never leave the home and the gorgeous surroundings! Water cascades down the property and runs under the spacious deck and screened porch before falling another 20' on the rocks below. Relax with family, friends or just on your own in your private grotto.
The charming home features modern amenities while maintaining the coziness of an authentic, mountain A-frame. A great room with massive wood burning stone fireplace and comfy sitting area, along with a 55” smart TV with the most popular apps including Netflix and Amazon Video. An HDMI cable connects to your computer for direct streaming. The updated kitchen includes a double convection oven, whisper-quiet dishwasher, garbage disposal, microwave, and Amazon Alexa voice assistant. Each floor includes a Master bedroom with full bath. The upstairs bath includes a whirlpool tub and separate standup shower along with a full-sized washer and dryer. Climb the spiral stairs to the Eagle's Nest loft -- a perfect, private space for a tree-house-like escape.
Outside, enjoy the spacious deck and soak in the beautiful view. The screened porch includes a dining table for 8 and comfy seating for a good read or that afternoon nap. You’re only a few minutes to Blowing Rock and the Blue Ridge Parkway, Valle Crucis or Boone… and just a short drive to Banner Elk, Grandfather Mountain, and all the local ski resorts. The home includes convenient, flat parking for up to three vehicles and only one small step from street level to the house entrance.
Hound Ears Property Fees provide 24/7 guarded/gated security, road clearance, and 24/7 emergency response. The home also includes a 24/7 outdoor security camera mounted under the eave of the porch.
Waters Fall is a “special moments” home, perfect for exploring all the area has to offer, or simply enjoying a getaway to the soothing sight and sound of water with the sun shining through the trees.

Absolutely a dream vacation rental! We were only approximately 25 minutes from excellent restaurants and drove only 45 minutes to do a cool mountain four wheeler ride with our two sons. Personally loved the detached screened porch with the sound of the creek running underneath. Layout was ideal for us as my husband and I prefer separate beds so one of us had the main level and I slept upstairs with my eight year old in the twin bed in the same room. My 13 year old did not want to come down from the cool loft area with a spiral staircase for privacy. We will be scheduling another visit in the winter.

Fabulous property with everything you could want for a relaxing and comfortable stay!

This sweet home had it all! Tranquility, amenities and little extras. We enjoyed the waterfall, s’mores on the deck, board games at night and a restful comfortable sleep. We stayed in early July, a bit warm in the rooms at night, but fans helped. Other than that Lynn thought of everything a family might need for their stay. The boots, crayons, spices, coffee, soap and shampoo. Loved! And the home what detail. Thank you Lynn!!! What a gem.

We had a great time enjoying the waterfalls here! The house is very cozy and the screen porch is right over the falls. It was so peaceful to sit and enjoy the outdoors.

The porch, large sreened area, and cottage were lovely. We enjoyed our time in the outdoor areas. The house was clean and well equipped. We cooekd several meals and loved the double oven!! There was only air conditioning in the bedrooms which was ok on most of the 7 days we stayed. When we first entered the house you could smell smoke from the chimney. I suspect this was because it was a VERY warm day and the house was closed up. I say this because if we closed the house and returned during the warmest part of the day, we got that smokey smell each time. Unfortunately, with summer days becoming hotter Lynn may want to consider adding an AC unit to the main living space. Checking in andnout of the house at the security gate to the community was very easy and everyone was very friendly. We had 5 in our party, 2 adults and our 3 older teen children and we were quitr comfortable in this space. Thank you for sharing your home!!

We enjoyed Waters Fall so much! The creek alone was enough to make the stay wonderful, but the owner has put so much thought into the details of this amazing house that we had everything we needed and more. We appreciated all of the games and supplies and provision of outside equipment to have fun listening to and playing in the creek. The owner also was great at communicating with us. You will not be disappointed with this property or owner!

Definitely a place to stay for the outdoor lovers! My 3 year old loved exploring the creek. We found so many insects and critters to looks at. The house is a little dated but met all our needs and aligned to our expectations and the photos. Really great outdoor entertaining area that I wish we could have used more!

The house was clean and we had everything we needed for a much needed rest. The most peaceful spot I have had the pleasure of staying. I spent an entire afternoon resting on the porch listening to the waterfall. Great experience. Already planning my next trip here.

Place was beautiful. Rained the whole time but that was okay, too. Rock slide due to rain was a major hassle getting around. Owner was nice but a couple of snafus/issues could have made things even nicer. No directions on how to control thermostat. Couldn't get TV on for 24 hrs. which caused other problems but not owner's fault. Just wasted a lot of time trying to get things working. Felt safe & secure. Could have used more than 2 washcloths & 2 towels for 2 adults staying on ground floor for 3 days. Could have used more than 2 rolls of toilet paper on each floor for a bunch of women (had to find a store to buy more). Got sick the last night we were there -- owner was kind enough to let us stay an extra hour. Grilled out during a break in the rain & the food promptly made me sick & I was responsible for my mom with dementia so still had to pack & get out by noon. Ugh! Lots of wasted time on this trip but again, not all on the owner.

First of all, the owner has thought of EVERYTHING! There are charging cords/ports for electronics exactly where you need them. Instructions for the property are clear and labeled clearly so you don’t have to second guess. I bought firewood on my way into town, but ample firewood (even fatlighter) was available. The kitchen is small, but so well equipped.
The bed I slept in was supercomfy, with high quality linen. And the skylight above me gave me a view of the stars.
The star of Waters Fall is the waterfall and noisy creek with the incredible deck and screen porch “room”. I was thrilled with the light snow shower the first two nights, however, if it had been warmer, I would have just spent all of my free time in that screened room. I’m definitely looking at my calendar to see if I can escape the summer heat in a month or two at this lovely cabin.
It has some quirks—but they are simply cosmetic. The setting and the host’s thoughtfulness make Waters Fall a gem!

We loved this place. Most of our time was spent outside around the creek and on the deck. The proximity to Boone and Blowing Rock is perfect. We’ll definitely be back.

I liked everything about the cabin, including the amazing neighborhood and hiking trails around it. Clean, comfortable, well-appointed but still very homey. Great communication by host. Also, master bedroom bed was extremely comfortable - a rarity in many rentals, even the nice ones. 20 minutes from everything, basically.

We LOVED the coziness of this cottage and the constant flow of the waterfalls. My kiddos loved exploring, and so did the grownups. Close to many attractions. Will def be back many times!

Waters Fall is in one of the most ideal settings in the mountains! We have stayed at the cabin many times in the past and have never been disappointed. The waterfall that flows directly behind the cabin makes the stay even more special. The location is ideal for enjoying the Blowing Rock/Boone venues. I highly recommend
Waters Fall!

We stayed here for Christmas. Such a lovely cabin. My boys could not good enough of the creek. Nice neighborhood with a couple hiking trails. Close proximity to Boone, Blowing Rock, and Banner Elk. Would definitely stay here again. Lynn communicated very well and made our stay enjoyable. 5 stars.

Everything about your little slice of heaven was just as we expected. We had a great time unwinding and relaxing. The falls were a little weak due to no rain, but on Tuesday that all changed. The rain made the falls beautiful. We will definitely be going back. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home.

We had a wonderful, relaxing time. Everything was as described. The girls especially enjoyed playing in the creek. We would definitely stay here again!

Housekeeping could improve as to dusting and removing spider webs from lamp shades and cookware was horrible. If owner periodically goes into home they should look at the pots and pans and ask themselves if they would use them to cook or eat from. As little as $200.00 would replace the cookware! Cookware was the worst I have ever seen in a rental home.

Waters fall is in the most peaceful setting. We had never stayed at Hound Ears. Easy to get anywhere from this location. The house had everything we needed (and more). Lynn made this last minute trip perfect. Thank you!

We loved our stay at Waters Fall! The outdoor atmosphere was so relaxing and fun for the entire family. The house was a perfect setup for our family of four. We enjoyed all the games and the fire pit for making s’mores. We would love to return!

We had an excellent long weekend at Waters Fall: you cannot ask for a better mountain property in the (almost) fall. The home itself provides everything you need - lots of little thoughtful things we don't usually find in a rental (e.g., aluminum foil, plenty of cooking utensils, etc.), creature comforts, and EVERYTHING is labeled which is super helfpul and meets my OCD needs! Obviously, the big draw is the outdoor accommodations: the waterfalls with lighting (super awesome with some rain which we got), the amazing screen room and lighting touches, grilling, fire pit, etc. I cannot say enough good things about staying here: we fell asleep every night either in the screen room or with the fire pit to the sound of flowing water. Stay here. Don't think about it. Just do it.

This was a great place to stay convenient to both the towns of Boone and Blowing Rock. We really enjoyed the house especially the great separate screen house which had both a sitting area and dining table. The neighborhood was very nice. I’m addition to the golf course, there was a park for younger children.

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely home so much! We wish we could have stayed longer. Our kids loved the loft and the ability to walk in the creek and feel the water. The waterfall was so peaceful. We loved everything about the outside. We played games on the porch, enjoyed a fun fire in the fire pit, and slept great in the cozy beds. We would definitely love to come back and would absolutely recommend this place! Location was perfect for all we wanted to do too. 10/10.
